  1. As fast as an ssd is impossible and not all games will work from an external drive. You can buy different kinds of external drives with different speeds but the important part is that you can store your info on them . For example if I want to play another game that is not on my ssd then I just swap files and make room. My external drive is fast enough and plugs in through usb but again, there are different speeds of usb.
  2. Who cares? These days the space on your laptop is meaningless. You can buy an ex5ternal drive and store stuff there. I have a 260gb ssd drive and I have a 5tb external drive. Mod Organizer for example will allow you to store your mods on your external drive and use them from there. My Morrowind folder is super modded and is 22 GB My Fallout New Vegas is 28 GB My Skyrim is 32 GB So you then have to realize that even though it says you are getting 256 GB that number is going to be significantly lower by up to 25-33%. Also the new Windows will also eat up a lot of space. Edit: Keep in mind that you will need a 3D vide4o card to play Morrowind. Just because it is an old game it doesn't mean that the new laptops can play it.
  3. And I know you can remove the effect and add whatever you can dream up. The OP was, "Can i get the daedric curirass without the tribunal quest?" and I know I just answered that question.
  4. Do your self a favour and update the entire mgso. It is a lot of work but it is worth it. Once you finish updating never, ever, EVER use the options in mgso again. If you do then it will reinstall all the old utilities and you will have to update everything again. Oh if you want to learn how to clean your saves in Mash then read these: http://www.moddb.com/mods/morrowind-rebirth/tutorials/how-to-update-your-old-save-game-to-a-new-version-using-wyre-mash http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes3Mod:Repairing_Saves http://www.mwmythicmods.com/tutorials/Wrye%20Mash%20v84%20Guide.pdf
  5. The empty locked chests in Solstheim seem to be caused by an old version of the "MW Containers Animated.esp" plugin. There is already a fix for this. MGSO 3.0 is an old mod. Every utility has to be updated. Follow all the instructions linked here. basically you need to get the updated "MW Containers Animated.esp" mod but you need to follow the update instructions provided in question #4.
  6. If the Nerevarine is a member of House Telvanni, Mistress Therana at the Tel Branora Upper Tower requests that Auriel's Bow be retrieved. As a reward she offers a unique Daedric Cuirass and unique Daedric Greaves, both enchanted with a 50 point Feather effect.
  7. Umm... ya but without bloodmoon you then have to be careful with the Morrowind Code patch options you choose. ***The two expansions do not just add extra content they add functionality. You won't be able to use MOST mods without the expansions. They added script functions and fixed most of the major bugs. Playing without the DLCs is not recommended. Why don't you just buy everything from steam. It is so cheap that way. EDIT: just follow this guide for the mods you need and you can update your graphics manually, this basically will do the same thing as mgso and I recommend this guide over mgso because the morrowind overhaul is really outdated and updating it is very complicated.
  8. In response to post #40329225. Yep, after 5 years of work they are going to change the name after the already released it.
  9. In response to post #40101175. #40102435, #40103430, #40154190, #40279890 are all replies on the same post. It is a new game, new story (well a continued story from their Oblivion chapter called Nehrim) and new adventures. Nehrim was brilliant so I expect this to be as good.
  10. In response to post #40286975. All you have to do is look up the original chapter Nehrim which used the Oblivion engine. That was incredible so there is no reason why this shouldn't be as well.
  11. In response to post #40398025. Nope. You didn't understand what was written. This is not a mod. It is a new game using the Skyrim engine and resources. You will have to start a new character.
  12. There is already a new version of Morowind that was made with new meshes and HD textures, new animations and modern scripting techniques... It also includes new quests and it is even compatible with all the old mods. It has an option that forces the old mods to use it's modern resources. The Symphony by SymphonyTeam It is 80% translatted into English and it should be completed shortly. Check out my pics to see what it looks like.
  13. I don't know why someone else hasn't answered this for you...A LONG TIME AGO...but the simple answer is, you have to put the spell name in quotes if it contains a space. That command would be: player->addspell "heal companion" In addition, placing an NPC needs quotes--IF the NPC name contains a space: placeatpc "gals arethi" 1,3,1 As for the moderator(s), I'm sorry to necro this thread...but WHERE ARE ALL THE EXPERTS? This was a simple question that has needed a simple answer for for FIVE MONTHS! I found it on Google for Gawd Sakes! The real Morrowind experts don't hang out here... they are over at the official forums, the assimilation lab, and great house fliggerty.
  14.     Morrowind Rebirth is not compatible with 99% of the mods out there and when I tested it there were some major game breaking bugs (mainly missing keys). You could try these two mods: Grass for Morrowind Rebirth by Hordane http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42291/? Grass for Morrowind Rebirth (MR) V 3.2 by Scythe http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43782/? This looks like the best option though: Groundcover Generation Package by Noteless http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43907/?
  15. I don't recommend using that guide by Murial Kai. Everything in the guide is second hand information and he was running to the Bethesda Forums asking questions as he was writing it. The last time I read it, it was full of mistakes and missing critical information. Basically he stole people's posts and claimed them as his own. There is not one original thought within the entire guide. Steam Installation https://steamcommunity.com/app/22320/discussions/0/864948030062333918/ You still need to update MGSO 3.0 and that may be even a larger headache. But you have to do it as all of the utility programs have been updated since the Oblivion Overhauls release. Good luck with that. Follow all the instructions in the main post here: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1541166-morrowind-overhaul-sounds-graphics-30-thread-7/ Here, read this and try to make sense of it in context to the instructions from the official forums. The truth is I don't recommend using MGSO 3.0. Why don't you try this guide instead: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Morrowind#Guide:_A_modern_Morrowind
