  1. i thought this was implemented in the 1.5 patch? If it isn't there yet then this should happen as it is very annoying to wait for settlers to come to your settlements. It makes you wonder why you can assign almost every job to robots in your settlements except for shops.

Oh? You can use them for something other than guards?

And no, if it was implemented, it doesn't work...

I couldn't do it. additionally, my robobrain shrank whenever he tried to interact with anything.

Yeah, I placed Jezbitch as shopkeeper at Sanctuary, and she shrank to half her size. Changing one of her parts fixs that, tho.

  2. Yeah, in fact you can ''assign'' them to anything, but they just do nothing! You can assign any robot to a vendor stand, and they'll even stand behind it, but they'll never show the vendor dialogue. Sometimes I wonder if this is a bug....

  3. I'm fully surprised that nobody has come with this idea yet.

Why can't we have our Automatrons man the shops in our settlement? Or maybe even serve as Supply Line Provisioners.

It's be great if someone could make a mod for this, because using our cool robots as guards and companions alone seems like a waste of potential.

If you treated us like Sony did in December of 2012, knowing the problem and denying it for two weeks or more, we'd probably be a lot less kind. There is also this to consider: You told us EXACTLY what, who, when, and how, as soon as you could, and in plain, simple terminology. I (and most likely about 10,000,000 others) appreciate a straightforward answer when there is an issue. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, you are kind and humble about it. If someone was mad at the employees of Nexus after your immaculate behavior, They are clearly not the kind of individual that we should be associated with as a user base. I personally love this site for a myriad of reasons, to explain it would take a ten+ page essay to enumerate all of the reasons why. To be clear though, the biggest reason, THE STAFF TREATS THE USER BASE LIKE PEOPLE. Despite there being 10,000,000 of us, we don't feel like faceless numbers. And that is because you seem to CARE. Don't stop doing that, and this awesome community will probably never devolve.

Thank you for being the best you can be.

More then I can say for my local Library's system. A breach in THAT database would be catastrophic (note, it sends you your old password via email, that should give you an idea of how terrible it is)

    The Lulz.

The ones doing this kind of stuff are usually Script Kiddies looking for a scrap of fame, or just for the wicked accomplishment of looking at these news and cackling while they wish they had a dastardly whiplash they could twirl.
  5. Since the moment I stumbled upon the Silent Moons enchant, I've been trying to create a mod that makes it cooler. Because, I mean, why should an unique Enchantment with an interesting background be just a dumbed down version of the Fire Damage Enchantment? And a bugged one at that! (IMHO, maybe this Enchantment was meant to be cooler, or even have a quest related to it, but as usual Bethesda got lazy as usual and made the programmers half-ass it for the deadline.)

So, I have been trying to give that Enchantment the awesomeness it should have, and I tried to do so by giving it a wholy unique effect which I call the Lunar Insanity. (I know, I know, I play a bit too much Touhou, heh)

The LI works the following way:

If the target is under a certain level (This value is modified by the quality of the enchanment), it will be either Charmed, Frenzied or Fear (In that order) depending on random chance and/or it's resistance to such Ailment.

First, there's a 20% chance of the target being Charmed, and if that fails/is resisted there's a 30% chance of the target being Frenzied, and that were to fail/be resisted as well, the target will suffer Fear instead, unless it has resistance to it as well.

.......Yet, I simply can't put a script for this together. I tried looking at Wabbjack's script, as it works with random effects, thinking it could give me some clues of what to do, but it has simply not worked.

So, I was wondering if there's any way to do this without employing Papyrus scripts, or if anyone knows how should I do to put this stuff together? Thanks in advance for the help.

  6. I have been trying to modify the LR Commissary Script in order to add one to my player's home. However, no matter what I tweak, I can't get it to work.

At first I tried using a different merchant NPC for the vendor chest, but even when using the default LR one, I simply can't get it to work. Not even the menus show up now.

I've heard that some ppl have managed to make their own scripts for such function, so I know it can be done. So, does anyone knows what should I change in the original script to make this work?

  7. I dunno if I should post this here or in the Mods area, but this is a serious issue I've found I have.

I just finished OWB(All OK, no bugs or errors), so I was thinking of modding with it a bit. However, when I try to load the OldWorldBlues.esm in GECK, it does NOTHING; it's as if it were empty. No error messages, no CTDs, nothing at all that could tell me what's wrong. Dead Money and Honest Hearts load flawlessly, and it seems like Lonesome Road also has the same problem as OWB.

Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong or what I'm not doing? It's the first time I ever encounter a bug like this, because it makes no sense......

  8. I second this! There are plenty of cool looking item and gear with weak or crappy enchantments, it would be great if you were able to remove these while keeping the item. Maybe it could be an extra perk in the Enchantment tree, one at the same level of Extra Effect.
  9. Half the Net is using it to say they're hooked up in Skyrim. I've seen all kinds of variations of it already. Still, no matter how old it gets, I think it has become one of Skyrim's signatures, and something tells me that Beth is going to remake and reuse the phrase in many games to come.
  10. This is a little something I though of while dealing with the ``<No Data> Instead of the Latest Version´´ bug of the latest NMM (0.13.0).

A refresh button for the Mods list area; basically, it would make NMM re-check the lastest version on your Mods from the Nexus site. Something that right now requires restarting NMM.

  11. This is something I would do myself were the Construction Kit out.

It's something simple, just an unenchanted version of the Savior's Hide that can be crafted in the forge and improved in the workbench. Also, for matters merely aesthetics, it would be nice if the materials used to craft it included some Wolf Pelts and perhaps some Orichalcum(The metalic part reminds me of Orcish armor for some reason). I leave the other materials and the proportions of these to whomever might be kind enough to answer this request.

  12. After I updated to 1.3 my TESV.exe and SkyrimLauncher.exe suddenly vanished! I had to reinstall and repatch, and after that I kept a copy of both files in somewhere else as a backup. Since then it has happent more that an dozen of times! It's without waring; such as I go to bed with them there and when I wake up they were gone! Sometimes I even get a CTD and when I go check, it happent 'cuz they're gone!

Does anyone else has this? It's because of patch 1.3? Should I update to 1.4? What causes it?

  13. WHAT THE HELL!?

Get a look at this ppl! I spoke with the friend I traded my Spanish Skyrim with and asked him to let me check his Voice.bsa and look what I found!

    http://sadpanda.us/images/772468-UMFIJEM.png

Check the pic I posted earlier and check this one. Do you see what I see? MORE THAN THE HALF OF THE VOICE FILES ARE MISSING FROM THE ENGLISH VERSION!!! What's the meaning of this! I wonder how many other thing are missing and we haven't even noticed yet!!

Now I ask all the Staff out there: Would it be legal if someone who has those missing files shared them with those who don't?

  14. Various friends of mine(who are blessed with faster connections)told me that Patch 1.2 has a serious game-killing bug. It reduces all your magic resistances to zero! You can kill an ice wraith with ice, vampires get can get poisoned, argonians no longer have their fire resistance and so on. I also checked around the net and it seems like lots of ppl are having similar issues. So, unless you wanna ruin your game DO NOT DOWNLOAD PATCH 1.2!!
  15. Steam cleary wasn't intended for people with slow/crappy connections, hence it wasn't made for many parts of the world. Heh, I wouldn't be surpirsed if I suddenly got to know that whomever got the idea of making Steam-Dependant games though ``If your connection is fast and good, it means you're in the USA, so your game's a genuine, and you need Steam. But if your connection is slow and crappy, that means you're in a poor country, and if you're in a poor country, that means you're using a pirate copy of the game, so you don't need Steam´´......Having a crappy conection is not some poor country exclusivity, y'know......

The neverending war between content creators and the fact that they are trying to apply economic models designed for physical reality to data. You can't apply models that require something to be palpable to something that exists solely as a ghost between math and illusion. I'm not advocating nor condoning piracy, but piracy goes to show you that the only law that applies is the law of math. Cyber-libertarians do have a point.

It's a neverending cycle; developers create a new software with a new security system, pirates find a way to bypass the security system, developers notice it and create a new security system again, pirates notice it and find a way to bypass it again, and the cycle continues spining and spining for all etenity while we(the users) are stuck in the middle, unable to do a thing, just like a drifting ship.

  16. Tried that already. Also my Skyrim is DVD not Steam DL'd so maybe that check-up works only with Steam DL'd games.

EDIT: I checked the Voices.bsa and found the ``Throw Voice´´ voice lines. Get a look at this:

    http://sadpanda.us/images/762377-7YTOIG0.png

Is there anything missing there? Btw, my char's a female Khajiit.

  17. I originaly had my Skyrim in spanish but I didn't like the dub, so I traded it for an english copy, but now(among other bugs)some voices are missing. In the SPA Skyrim, whenever I used the``Throw voice´´ shout I could hear my char shouting some kind of insult, but now in the ENG Skyrim I only hear the normal shout sound and see the insult in the subititles. What's going on? Why that voice isn't working? Can it be fixed somehow?
  18. Heh, I got it in spanish as well, but couldn't stand the crappy dub so I traded my copy for an english one and.....I'm starting to regret it; english Skyrim has plenty of bugs that the spanish one didn't had! For instance the ``Throw Voice´´ shout's quotes were voiced in the spanish version but aren't in the english one, the Deadly Aim perk is broken, enchantments are weaker for some reason, and many more bugs. So, if you got the spanish one, think a bit before changing it....
