  1. I'm just now installing LE for my PC and taking a look at modding. I ran a cross a reference to installing an LE mod "for each game". Now, I've modded Fallout NV and 4 extensively so I was expecting to drag and drop into the ME mod manager and activate mods just once but will I have to somehow do it for 1,2, and 3? And while on that, will mods made specifically for Mass Effect 3 work for LE?
  2. Yep and I found information in this forum and other sites that tick fix is bad juju.
  3. So, I have noticed that if I try to have a surplus of corn, mutfruit, and tatos for making adhesive, I will hit a point where no matter how much corn or tatos I plant, the surplus stalls then plummets like I hit some sort of cap in the script and it begins to calculate it wrong like a weird y2k bug. Reading up on this, I find that settlers eat tatos first, then go down the list by veggie ID numbers but nothing on production caps except that somehow the number of settlers increases it. What I have done in the past is have every settlement produce a small excess of crops and have three big farms that produce 50-60 combined crops. Should I concentrate on useful crops only and ignore carrots and gourds? If so....why are they there?
  4. It was crash city for me with a clean install. Removed it. No more crashes. Looked at the posts for it. Found out many many users had the same problem even with updating the ini file. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34832?tab=posts
  5. I recently installed FONV for the first time and used viva new vegas as a rough guide. Rough guide - for instance, do not install the tickker mod that eliminates stutters. It's unstable. Do turn off autosaves for fast travel - that will save a few CTDs. Personally, I use vortex. I found it more user friendly and reliable with FO4 and have had no problems with it for FONV.
  6. Once upon a time, it was 255 esp mods. 256 limit and Fallout4 esp counts as one. Esl mods do not count to the mod limit. Personally, once I go over 200, I start to see small distracting issues and I have a fairly high end system.
  7. Oh, boy. I looked at the mods JIP and Unlimited Companions Updated and wow, the hate spewing between the two camps took me off guard. All I want is to roam with two companions sometimes. Nothing fancy.
  8. Thank you. My first reaction was, of course it won't be easy....but I made a bodygen mod for FO$ that makes all NPCs, characters, and player have different bodies so...work, work, work
  9. Yes, I'm realizing that. There is a skeleton compatibility mod that helps for armor fits but not always. I'm not concerned about bouncing boobs in FONV, body physics doesn't seem as prevalent as in FO4. HOWEVER, more fun clothing sets seem to be designed for BnB. I just don't care for the exaggerated chest. It's just a preference thing.
  10. OK, next question - can I use one body type for my character and another for NPCs?
  11. Does the BNB and skeleton work with just the armor portion?
  12. Ok. Started the game and modding and hit a confusion point. The BNB page shows pics of multiple body types...but one replacer?? Thing is, I like the look of Type 3 Alice because it's a more natural look, not anime big bouncy silliness, but will that work with BNB and the skeleton mod?

  14. I'm an experienced FO4 player/modder just starting New Vegas. I'm curious as to what mods are best for gameplay/stability fixers, environment enhancers, character textures, etc. So far, I've found through an EOS video, "Fallout New Vegas Mods - How to Install Mods for Beginner's - (NVSE Modding Gameplay Guide (2021)": Visual Studio C++ Update: DirectX 4 GB Patcher Script Extender (NVSE) UIO Mod Configuration Menu Lstewieal's Tweaks JIP LN NVSE Plugin YUKICHIGAI Unofficial Patch YUP Unofficial Patch PLUS JonnyGuitar There are some on his suggested list I didn't use because the posts stated some mods were no longer functional. So, as I move on to face tweaks, textures, and other fun stuff, any ideas?
  15. It's on the controller. The small button directly in the center with the little upload symbol.
  16. I use steam but I use an Xbox controller bluetooth linked to my PC. It's right between the joy sticks so taking screenshots during combat doesn't require reaching for a function button, just a flick of the thumb.
  17. So, taking screenshots was a breeze with the Xbox controller on PC. Just hit the share button on the fly. Then, Windows updated and now the share button does nothing. Anyone else?
  18. For those who might check in - figured it out. It came down to a mod so old I forgot I had it. MGS Aiming, It allows down the sight aiming in third person...and I figured out it does it by calling the first person aiming and overwriting on the fly the third person settings and sometimes both start getting called up at the same time resulting in weirdness. oh well. Disabled old mod and problem fixed.
  19. I have something simpler to try. When I played FO4 on an older machine, I would run into odd instabilities and long load times the more I progressed in the game. It was a memory/storage problem. FO4 crams a lot into the save game files. The more you progress, the more you move items, build, stack up dead bodies, etc., the bigger and more cumbersome the save game files become and FO4 creates a new file every time you do anything it seems. So, I started deleting old saves when I saved a game. Call up the save menu, delete 10 old saves, save new. Repeat until you have like five or six savegames. Worked wonders for stability and loads.
  20. I generally play in third person medium distance camera position. PC with Xbox controller. Every game, every now and then, I will go into VATS combat, and at the end of combat, the third person camera will be reset to close up position. Sp. I hold the hot key, pull back on the stick to put it back to mid-distance and when I go into VATS combat.....back to close up. This lasts for a few days then magically fixes itself....then a month later....it's back. Any ideas?
  21. I've come to the conclusion that the cell became corrupted and took a few hours of gameplay to exhibit the CTD. The only thing I did different from other games was to collect all the power armour. I'm wondering of I simply hit too many objects of that type. Thanks for the input everybody.
  22. maybe And yes, I have a copy of the FO4 folder. Learned that early on with modding
  23. No custom objects in Sanctuary. I wondered that too and figured disabling mods would reset to vanilla settings for the cell anyway but still CTD
