  1. yeah i read up on the lore (i'm sad they're elf-like) but in that case a new race will have to be thought up..... i'm gonna find a mountain to carve into.
  2. didnt even think about setscale... hey welcome to my first project! someone's probably gonna make a better version before i even finish it but imma start toying around with this idea... gonna need some more dwarfy beards though
  3. oh and just to clarify, i'm not actually holding my breath waiting for a response, as soon as my new gpu comes in the mail i'm gettin on board with texture/mesh editting
  4. Hello, i'm the jujup3al. lamest name in the game, i know it. I'm in no way new to TES, or modding (er... at least the use of modding) and enjoy the community thoroughly. However, i'm growing tired of taking without giving anything back. it goes against my nature, and i'm itching to learn. so my request is this, are there any modders out there willing to help me learn? i wanna start with simple stuff, like texture editting since i already have extensive knowledge of photoshop and corel draw, and own both. but eventually i want to move on to scripting, adding spells, changing the way damage works in-game (never been a fan of hitting your enemy 50 bajillion times before he or you dies) feel free to shoot me a message or just reply here if your interested or have any questions. or if you feel like bein a hater for me askin.... mmm i love haters
  5. this is probably gonna cause issues with armor clipping isn't it? i mean unless the dwarves weren't actually dwarves. as a side note this is just an educated guess, and i totally support the idea. jus sayin
  6. fixed the helicopter noise, refstuff wasn't in the right directory. now to fix the dang body issue.
  7. thank you candex, your advice has once again been extremely helpful to my modding knowledge :) i became aware of the re installing with problems issue when i re downloaded it via steam (had to re download it three times i think before i looked for some answers on the forums Xp) following your instructions, i've successfully found a good setup, though i haven't loaded better cities and honestly don't have the willpower to do so yet, so it's not really a concern whether it'll work or not. only thing is for some reason the upperbody of male npc's (as well as my character's) won't show up.... its just feet, legs, empty space where the chest should be, hands and a head.... not sure how to fix that, i'm assuming it has something to do with either the Synx race mod i'm using, or roberts male body replacer since those were the three i installed last... i'm going to search the forums for a solution for that though as i'm sure someone has had a problem with it in the past. also theres a weird kind of helicopter noise continuously playing in the background... not sure what that is, i read that it can come from the curse of hicrine mod, but i don't have that installed at all... thank you again candex, and Hickory, if i could i would give you both a second set of kudos :)
  8. k... now i'm on a quest to figure out how i'd know haha... i tried candex's suggestion, the game would still not start a new game or load a previous save, i'm re downloading it from steam now, when i go to reload the mods in to the game i should start with the larger overhaul type mods correct? when i first started modding i didn't pay much attention to the size of the mods when choosing an installation order, mostly payed attention to what part of the game it changed (i.e. i started with gameplay changers like Unnecessary Violence and OOO and finished with purely visual mods like better magic effects and all natural)
  9. thank you for the suggestions, both of you... I will try candex's suggestion first, followed by Hickory's :) oh and Hickory, so your saying that even though WB's mod checker function tells me there's multiple ITM's and UDR errors i shouldn't use the built in functions of TES4edit to rectify them? How exactly would i know when to and when not to? also... i guess newbie isn't the right word for my level of understanding... i mean i know about BOSS (to answer your question) WB and have read the tut's on it extensively, as well with TES4edit... just had a difficult time understanding i guess will repost with the results once they come to
  10. I sincerely apologize for crowding up the forums with the (more then likely) ridiculous request, but can someone help me? I'm running windows 7 64bit, ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics card, AMD Phenom II X6 1065t Processor, 4gb of ram Got a Steam GOTY version of TES4, installed two days ago, worked perfectly fine on the highest graphics settings, no bugs no glitches nada, but when i modded it things got interesting.... got about 50 or so mods installed, including OOO and MMM (no frans/fcom/warcry) Better Cities, n a couple other big ones. installed em all to the T, installed as per the requirements (tripled checked that actually) created a bash patch using WB, and cleaned up what it told me to in TES4Edit.... game won't start. I mean the game itself will, i just can't start a new game, it CTDs. don't wanna bother trying to load a previous save ( i have a quicksave from my initial "lets see if it works right" run) because multiple mods specifically state i should do a clean install and start a new game.... if anyone has some suggestions to help me get my oblivion experience on the road i would appreciate it.... i know the info i'm giving is probably extrememly general.... i'm not good at troubleshooting :( but if there's any information that would help you help me let me know thank you in advance....
  11. it is possible :) Thanks so much, you have no idea how frustrated i was. still kinda beatin myself up for not thinkin of that tho X{ kudos given for helpin!
  12. So, sadly my first post ever in the forums is a desperate plea for help, but i desperately need it..... lol last night i tried learning how to use FNV edit, which I thought i got the hang of, till i tried using the MUM feature. it did its thing, but my game wouldn't start. so i tried using the MRM feature (not sure if that's what i was supposed to do, it was an act of frustration) long story short, it didn't fix the problem because something was changed in the DeadMoney.esm, or something, idk really, all i know is FNV edit won't even load. [00:04] Background Loader: [DeadMoney.esm] GRUP Top "WRLD" processed [00:04] Background Loader: [DeadMoney.esm] Building FormID index [00:04] Background Loader: [DeadMoney.esm] FormID index built [00:04] Background Loader: [DeadMoney.esm] Building EditorID index [00:04] Background Loader: [DeadMoney.esm] EditorID index built [00:04] Background Loader: [DeadMoney.esm] Warning: File contains duplicated top level group: GRUP Top "CHAL" [00:04] Background Loader: Fatal: <Exception: FormID [010103B4] in file DeadMoney.esm refers to master file DeadMoney.esm which has not been assigned a global load order> [00:52] Background Loader: finished ^what it's tellin me in FNVedit i feel like a nub, and this probably has a really simple answer, but can someone help me fix mah game? oh n yeah i have the latest version, as well as all the DLC
