SSE Looking for a simple Tauriel NPC Follower, will pay
vvk78 replied to RGCheek1's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I realise I am responding to an old comment, but if you are still looking for a solution, I can suggest the following. *Download and install mods (via Vortex or Mod Organiser). 1. Install whatever follower mod whose appearance you like (such as that Zeth). But sInce you mentioned Tauriel, I assume you wanted a red-headed Woof Elf that looks similar to the Tauriel character from LOTR. Well, today is your lucky day! Tauriel Companion from The Hobbit by m0ckin9bird - german - deutsch at Skyrim Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) Tauriel from The Hobbit at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) (for SSE version) 2. You can use below mod to choose a Tauriel preset. Tauriel- The Hobbit Racemenu Preset at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) 2. Alternatively, use below mod to copy the NPC appearance to the player character. Make sure your character is of same race and gender as NPC, otherwise it may create problems I think. Copy Character Appearance at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) 3. Then use below mod to change your player character's appearance safely: Vanity Mirror SE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) 4. Following mods add a lot of hairstyles - try them out! KS Hairdos SSE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ApachiiSkyHair SSE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) 5. Try these armor and weapons that'll suit this lovely character! Ashara Elven archer armour revisited at Skyrim Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) Bosmer Wood Elf LEAF Armor at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) Tauriels Bow and Arrows at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) Tauriels Daggers at Skyrim Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) Hope this helps! -
I think cMK - Custom Storage Spells does exactly what you seek. Also take a look at these popular storage mods: Craftable Cloud Storage General Stores - storage resource for packrats Automatic Item Storage Automatic Item Storage for Vidani's Bag of Holding

Fantastic piece of lyrical narrative work, Keanu!

Not sure how good this mod is, but it looks like what you were looking for. Reflection Ward and Reflecting Spellbreaker by Sjogga90

IMHO... Modding = Win, win, win... ad infinitum! :D

Reizeron is working on a mod related to this discussion: Bound Weaponry
-
Wouldn't a bound shield make better sense (and be easier to build as a new mod) ? It would then accrue all the perks, armor ratings and bash abilities, that a normal shield would. This way, you can use both wards and bound shields interchangeably, to take on different types of enemies.
-
David, can you shed more light on it please, on how exactly you achieved the mod-cleaning through the CK? I think many modders new to the Skyrim CK are having the same question, and a quick search at the CK Wiki doesn't shed any light.

Your wish has come true. I too was looking for a similar mod and found it. Armored Alikr Garb by n1tor: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=7353

@Hrnchamd: While hyperlinking in your posts, remember that the URL tags in the Nexus forums may not work if you have a trailing forward-slash ("/") in the URL.

@yerfdog: There is a mod that claims to allow to equip the follower/companion with any clothes or armor. Not tested it myself, but you can give it a try rather than manually editing NPCs. Follower Tweaks: http://www.skyrimnex...ile.php?id=3111

This mod will give a bunch of rings with awesome powers, including invisibility: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2926 NOTE: I've not tested it out yet, so use it at your own risk. It should work I think.

Please don't forget that a door is actually a mechanism to connect one interior/exterior "cell" to another, in the game. In case of chests, it is a separate container object like your inventory. In fact, every shopkeeper in Skyrim has a hidden chest/box that forms their shop inventory! This means that even if you have a nuke-level destruction spell, it will not transport you beyond the door or open that chest's container. So, we cannot amp-up existing destruction spells, we would need completely new spells to unlock doors/chests, similar to what wirkoenntenaber has suggested. NORMAL SOLUTIONS: If you are roleplaying as a thief, and want to have an easier way to pick locks, then I suggest you visit the Tower Stone. The Tower Stone's ability allows you to unlock any Expert (or lower-level) lock, instead of picking it. (Perhaps someone can create a mod, to convert this inbuilt ability into a permanent toggleable spell/power, like the Khajiit Night-Eye?) You might also want to visit the Thief Stone (20% boosts to Thief Class attributes), Shadow Stone (invisibility) and Serpent Stone (paralyze), for special boosts for a thief/assassin. Note that you can have only one Guardian Stone's blessing/power at any given time, and you can invoke the power only once per day, so it is like the grand powers in Oblivion. "All abilities granted by these stones cost no magicka to cast and can only be used once every 24 in-game hours." Perhaps someone can make a mod to If you are frequently running out of lockpicks, you can complete the Thieves' Guild quests to get the unbreakable Skeleton Key. Or get the nice Lockpicksmith mod: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1107 If you are just fed up of the lock-picking mini-game, then use the LockPick Pro mod (like I do :-): http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=219 CHEATS (warning: using console cheats may have adverse affects if you are using Steam):

@TheCalliton: Do your parents (or at least your mom) know about your girlfriend? Is your girlfriend on friendly/talking terms with your family? If not, you should have told your mom about your girl. This might not be the right time to broach the subject, but you should not keep your girlfriend hidden, especially if you are seriously like her. By talking to one of your parents about her (whichever parent you are closer to; I am guessing it is your mom), you actually give some weightage to your relationship with your girl. You send her a message that you want her to be an important part of your life, and whatever problems you have now will be solved, if you can have her reassuring presence in your life. I know you are young, and relationships at this age are fragile, but still a bit of reassurance always helps to strengthen the bond and solidify the trust. If you mom already know your girlfriend, then ask her to call up and talk to your mom. Let her tell you mom that you have serious problems, and that she (your GF) is concerned about you, that she's afraid you will injure yourself or do something drastic. If you yourself try to tell your concerns to your family, you might not explain it well, or it might peter out into the same old ping-pong talk and continued apathy towards you. But a concerned update from your girlfriend (or even any other well-wisher, like a school counselor), will make a huge difference. This kind of jolt coming from a third party, can awaken the parental instincts of your family, and even if they accost you and scold you, it will be out of fear of losing you, rather than real rage. Then the matters will improve, and your girl will also be closer to the family, and she too will feel comforted that you have the support of your family now. A school counselor or elder family relative can assess and explain things better to your family, but I know some people don't like it if others intrude into their private matters. But the way, why are you cutting yourself for? You really think this is the end of the world? Worst night? LOL, dude, you have no idea how much better your life is compared to many other youngsters like you. You are not disabled (I hope not), you have enough brains, you are charming enough to get a girlfriend (even I don't have one!!!), you still have both parents to support you (just try to improve relationship with them), so just get a grip on yourself and start improving your life! All the best!

Hightest, thanks for sharing that PDF. I have been an AMD fan from a long time now. Unfortunately, they have been literally squeezed out of the market due to Intel's strong-arming tactics (especially true in my country, where even local vendors don't recommend AMD, or pretend as if they don't know how to repair AMD-based systems). AMD has always been value-for-money, and they started the whole 64-bit computing for Windows platforms -- Intel came onto 64-bit desktop (non-server) computing only later. AMD must be appreciated for managing to survive when many other famous chip-makers have failed against Intel's relentless onslaughts. Few months back, I wanted to buy a Dell laptop, and found not even a single good AMD-based configuration. Lenovo, HP, Samsung did not have the kind of high-performance gaming configuration I was looking for. Alienware is not available in my country. Ultimately, I had to settle for a Dell XPS 15 with Intel i7, even though it was very expensive, just to play the latest games on the laptop. I have had 3 AMD-based desktop PCs at my home (all are old), running as multimedia/file servers. I've decided to go for AMD, for my new desktop PC too. A world dominated by Intel is going to be a very difficult world indeed. I hope AMD with its ATI acquisition can make better CPU/GPU hybrids, so that prices down even further. Healthy competition should be encouraged.

TheCalliton, First and foremost, thank you for reaching out to us. It shows you are a survivor, and it means you have decided not to lose hope, and want your life to improve. A few suggestions, if I may..... 1. Listen to your favorite music (wear earphones if you don't want to disturb anyone) and watch your favorite comedy movies. Forget your worries for a moment, loosen up and let your spirit soak into the feeling of joy. 2. Borrow these books from your school library: "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie, "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" series (I think there was one about School). Read such inspiring books, they will fill you with positive energy. Laugh, it will make your body and spirit happier. 3. Talk to your school counselor (if there's one), or even an uncle/aunt/neighbor, whom you know is your well-wisher. They will give you practical advice, since they will know and understand your situation better. You yourself must take some positive action, because only then your situation will improve. Your parents might seem harsh now, but don't worry, things will improve. Don't go by their words, or even by their actions now; it is just a temporary phase, and they will appreciate you better, if you decide you want to improve your life, without worrying about their judgement or criticism. People always cheer only those who try to reach the finish-line. 4. I used to do good at school. But as my family kept moving to new cities, my studies took a hard hit, and I became a poor student, especially during the time of my life when my grades were the most crucial. But I still managed to make a successful career. If you use your brains, grades will not matter, so don't worry about them. Just give your best, and it will make things better. Laugh and pray, it is good for your body and spirit! 5. I suggest you learn some new hobbies. What do you like apart from computer/video games? Rollerskating, painting, digital artwork, musical instruments? Try to learn something new and interesting, such as dancing, where you will meet a new set of people. There will be free courses for a lot of things in your city. Make some new friends, enjoy their company! 6. Best way to forget worries is to immerse yourself with a lot of activity. Maybe, you can involve in some charity work -- register with a volunteer organization, and work on weekends. Helping others is a surefire way to become happier. And if you earn a few dollars this way, you can make your family happier. I know personally that lack of finances in a home can dampen and stress out the moods. Companies always look for people with lot of varying expertise; so try to do some odd jobs which can form a good experience for a future career. Salesmanship is one such virtue. 7. You like to read/write stuff, so why don't you write some gaming articles for your local newspaper or magazines? They always seek some articles aimed at teenagers. You might not earn much, but you can proudly show these published articles to your school teachers and to your family. Professional writing is a great way to master the language, and to focus your thoughts in a concise and precise manner -- it will be very helpful to you later in your work-life. 8. Don't you recall any friends who were good to you. Maybe some childhood friends? Try to get in touch with anyone who was good and kind to you. Just being in the company of good people (or even just talking to them over the phone) can make you happier. Get yourself a little pet, maybe a guinea pig, or some goldfish. They'll cheer you up daily! 9. You have a girlfriend, who lives far away from you. If you do not want to lose her friendship, then you must try to be more positive and cheerful to her. Don't keep cribbing about your problems to her, instead appreciate her, admire her with tokens of your love, show her you care. Remember, she is your best friend, if you want her to be. Love can be bliss! 10. Whenever you are feeling bored or stressed, talk to us. We are always there for you. After all, friends take care of each other, don't they? All the best! Keep your face always to the sunshine!

QTP3 Reduced Redimized and Unique Landscapes Compilation will give you best graphics, especially if you already installed OBSE, OBGE and some of the Shader mods. Tweaking the Oblivion.ini file will also enable/improve many graphics features, at a cost of performance. Did you see the mod recommendations in List of Mod Lists?

Those are very nice cosmic shots, Illiad. Thank you for sharing them with us.

What lovely detail they put into the hands.
vvk78 replied to RedLenses's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
I don't play NV, but it sounds like the meshes / textures are missing. You may need to reinstall the game, or copy the correct files from a friend who have NVSE. Open the mod file archive, make a note of the meshes and textures included in the mod, and try if you can copy their original versions from the game DVD. -
When it seems like your life is spiraling out of control...
vvk78 replied to IndorilTheGreat's topic in Off-Topic
What doesn't kill you, only makes your stronger. Yes, but not if you give up, in frustration and fear. When your life seems to be spiraling out of control, when everything is happening at a breakneck pace, and you seem to have losing control and don't know how to take back the reins, try to take a break. It is difficult, but try to go off on a very short vacation out of the city/town, maybe for a day or two.. somewhere away from the hustle and bustle, maybe on a wilderness trek, mountain biking, boat ride, visit an aunt, or at least a dinner/movie outing with a few friends. The problem with a spiraling life, is the lack of energy and focus to get it back in control, or to make sense of recent events. Taking a short break means you get some time doing something fun, maybe some peaceful time for yourself to contemplate and decide on some recent events, and the verve to get back into the driver's seat when you return. The key thing is to take yourself off the scene of the tumultuous action, even if your family or friends are pressurizing you not to make such a foolish decision at this eventful time. Even a day's break makes a difference, you will see. And I would suggest you to read some nice pep-talk books. "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie and the "Chicken Soup" series are good bets. You will suddenly realise that life isn't so difficult, and once you get through this difficult phase, you will probably look back and laugh at how simple those challenges truly were. All the best! -
Necris, Thanks for that useful info! Yes, I realise that the Skyrim "3D" trailer cannot be very realistic 3D -- after all, it is recreated from a 2D trailer (which had a fixed camera)! So, if my understanding is correct, there's no way that 3d trailer could have been created using Side-by-side technique to create realistic 3D. I have watched a few cross-eyed 3D videos before, and perhaps the tutorial video I linked may not have been the best to explain the concept to someone trying cross-eye psuedo-3D videos for the first time. I did search for a few good tutorial videos, and that one seemed adequate, since it did have a fair amount of detail in it. Since you seem to be good at 3D, is it possible for you to recreate the recent official Skyrim trailer (it was mindblowing!) and share it with us fans here? We would love to see a proper 3D rendering! :woot: If it is not possible, perhaps you can oblige us by teaching us how to turn a 2D video into realistic 3D, as many of us here would want to try to convert our home/family videos into 3D videos (without buying those expensive 3D cameras!). Thanks..

Ban paganwannbe, for having a thing for Ravens, and for blocking Smurfs, when we all know that Ravens are a scary, black and fake, while Smurfs are cute, blue and real.

Once you figure how to do the cross-eyed 3D and practise it on a few videos, it is extremely useful. And fun! Though, I would reiterate that doing it for longer periods should be avoided. Those people who wear normal glasses/spectacles or sunglasses every day, are already doing cross-eye. Our eyes strain through the tiny stains/blemishes on the glasses, to form a blemish-free 3D image of the real world (your depth perception is hampered without using both eyes - try closing one eye and you will find that distant objects look flat).
