  1. Hello forum, This is a particularly odd predicament I've found myself in. I shall try my best to provide all of the relevant information I can and keep the explanation as succinct as possible: Issue: I currently play three different characters. Two characters I've played for about twenty hours each and my main character I've played for around 1000 hours. My main character began experiencing terrible latency and save bloating as I played and after hearing about SKSE's 'ClearInvalidRegistrations' I added the relevant line to the SKSE.ini. - Two secondary characters were completely fine. No change in framerate. - Main character saw significant framerate drop (Around 50 down to 1). - Backtracked through hundreds of saves for my main character and this drop has occurred across saves and only for this character. - The issue is resolved when toggling script processing (tscr) and the framerate returns to 50 but upon loading in to a new cell the framerate drops to 1 again (Oddly when toggling scripts back to 'On' the framerate raises back up to 50 again.) - I'm certain that scripts are involved heavily in the problem as my computer is fairly robust. - Removing the 'ClearInvalidRegistrations' from the SKSE.ini has no effect on the framerate. - The main character also still experiences script latency although this can be tolerated. Computer Specifications 16GB RAM GTX 660 Ti Boost with 2GB of VRAM Skyrim is installed on a 1TB hard disk drive with about 100GB of available space. Intel Core i5 CPU 750@ 2.67GHz Motherboard-integrated sound card. Additional Information - Skyrim is installed at 'C:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim; - I am running 85 mods (Only four or five of them are script-intensive) through Nexus Mod Manager. - The mods have been run through BOSS and this has not resolved any issues. - Currently using all three official DLCs. - I am using the latest version of SKSE (1.6.16) - I have used TES5Edit to clean my mods in the past and this has not negatively impacted gameplay at all. - I have tried running the vanilla launcher, this also does not resolve the issue. Papyrus Log after several minutes of walking around with my main character (Experiencing 1FPS) is linked below. I had to cut off the end of it to comply with the upload limit. I hope that I have been as concise as possible and would be happy to provide any additional information to our forum geniuses. After 1000+ hours spent shouting at trees and running with elks it would be a shame for my main character's watch to end. - Arnie
  2. Hello Forum, I return with another bothersome stacking script which I've found in my Papyrus log whilst trying to reduce the number of CTD's I get. I would be happy to link the entirety of my log if need be but for the time being all I need is for one of our script enthusiasts to be able to work out where the script's root is. I cannot find a script of this ilk inside my scripts folder and I'm no Papyrus expert but I can guess that the engine is looking for something that no longer exists. The repeated line is as follows: [None].sv3_subquest2_script.OnUpdate() For the record: - Intel i5 Processur - GTX 660ti with 2GB vRAM - 16 GB of RAM - Skyrim was installed on a 1TB HDD I hope I've provided enough information and would be happy to elaborate if further explanation is required. Thank you folks!
  3. Hello there forum, I've been in a little predicament in the last two months due to the fact that Skyrim will often take 30 seconds/2 minutes to respond to a number of actions ingame. These include but are not limited to: - Reading the black books in Dragonborn (I will often have to sit patiently with the book open for two minutes before it closes and the cutscene pursues) - When using the "Auto Unequip Ammo" mod, the ammo will often take minutes before unequipping with my bow (Where it used to do this instantaneously). - Giving commands to my follower. - There will often be a delay in the game's ability to recognize whether or not I'm submerged in water. When I try to wait on land after coming out of the water it will often say "You cannot wait whilst swimming". I've tried a full re-install and have deactivated and uninstalled all of my mods from NMM as well as turning the graphics down to their lowest. I've also tried Papyrus logging but the logs do not show anything out of the ordinary (Or so it seems). My graphics and sound drivers are also updated too and there are no programs running that could affect the game's script latency although the fact that the problem persists after a fresh install indicates that it may not be the game that is the problem. I believe the problems came around near the update to 1.9 and although there are always numerous mentions of script LAG there has been no mention of delays to this extent on Google. Here are my computer details should ye' need them: - ATI Radeon HD 5450 - 6GB RAM - Running Windows 8 Pro - DirectX 11 Papyrus log attached If there is anything else you need to know I'd be happy to provide it. Help me Nexus Forums, you're my only hope!
  4. Hello once again forum, As I'm sure most of you would agree, Dragonborn is a fantastic piece of DLC. Whilst the content itself is brilliant, I have had numerous problems with major bugs, all that seem to point in the same direction, delays in script actions, here are a few examples of major problems. =======================SPOILERS BELOW============================= - During the battle with Haknir Deathbrand, after defeating the initial wave of crew members Haknir will not return and after no-clipping I can see that Haknir is standing alone in a small cell out of the map. - During the fight with Miraak one of two things will happen: 1) I will be able to take Miraak's health down to 0 at which point he will not die, yet his health bar will not show and he continues to fight as per usual. 2) After taking down a portion of Miraak's health he will spring to a location and either a dragon will land and nothing will happen or the dragon will not land at all. - After reading any black book the book only closes and I am transported around 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time it can take up to five minutes for my character to start reading the book and often he will read it randomly. I've tried turning on/off combat ai (tcai on the console) but it seems the problem lies in a delayed script. I've tried looking up these bugs elsewhere but I've seen no other reports of these problems other than point two of the Miraak problem. I have no mods that would alter scripts and do not use SKSE or ScriptDragon. Whilst all of my mods are purely graphical the only mods I feel COULD have caused this would be the "Frostfall" camping and survival mod and "Auto unequip ammo/arrows". I know we have a few Papyrus overlords among us, hopefully this problem is concurrent with a similar problem that has been experienced with someone else? I would appreciate any feedback or if not anyone to bump this topic if they are experiencing any form of script delay problems in Dragonborn.
  5. Hello once again forums, There has been a problem plaguing me for months now and only recently have I had the common sense to console in your good selves for some help. When visiting my skills menu to check my level for (Let's take for example) blocking; - Before zooming in on the perk tree for blocking itself the number (In red) says 71. - I KNOW that my blocking level is at 100 and the number 100 is also shown when I zoom in to the perk tree itself. - I have checked all character effects (No negative effects on my character and I am neither a werewolf or a vampire) - I have tried using the console to set my blocking skill to 100 via the console but the number still remains red. - I am unsure as to whether the game will take that RED number in to account when playing or if it actually knows that I still have a blocking level of 100. - This issue is apparent in the archery, illusion, alteration and one handed skill trees with exactly the same issue. Is there perhaps ANOTHER way of removing this mishap?
  6. Mujoro you are an absolute star. I'm finally rid of the bug (I've had it for months now) thank you so much ol' chap.
  7. Hello folks, I've put several hundred hours in to Skyrim now and I've actually had an ongoing bug in-game in regards to the follower system. I've used no follower mods or mods that would change follow dialogue but my problem is this; 1) I talk to someone who has been my follower in the past (This is true of 3/5ths of the followers in Skyrim for me at the time of this post) at their spawning location for example I've talked to Agmaer one of the Dawnguard followers at Castle Dawnguard. 2) As supposed to being shown the "Follow me" dialogue options I am shown the same dialogue options that would be shown if he were following me such as "It's time to part ways", "I need you to do something", "Wait here". etc. I've tried using all of these and despite clicking "It's time for us to part ways" he will continue to wander castle Dawnguard and as always when I talk to him this is the menu that I am greeted with. 3) I've tried using "setplayerfollowercount to 0" and then checking that it's 0, I've tried looking up the problem but to no avail. I can't find anyone else who has this bug in-game. I've also tried re-installing the game but at level 72 I wouldn't like to start over. I did hear something about pex files but I haven't a clue what they are or if they're anything to do with how the game remembers what dialogue options an NPC will have once talked to. If any of you are able to address this problem I would be over the moon. Please feel free to enquire further if there is anything else you need to know.
