Apologies for not posting in some time. Here is part of Westside (which is now connected to the rest of the wasteland), a couple generic areas, and the entrance to Vault 22. -

Yes, I already started porting over the ambient tracks and a few others. I'll have to include instructions in the readme to rip them from NV's .bsa since I can't upload them. In case anyone doesn't want to do that, I'll have a separate version that uses 4's music. -

There will be some returning, but I can't make any promises on those. Hopefully once the map's complete and this gets uploaded it'll inspire some cool people to help improve the mod from there -

Yeah, that was something I heavily considered back when I first started this. Funny thing is though, since I've had to recreate the Mojave by hand I also discovered some of the same issues Obsidian likely encountered when making it as well. FNV didn't have much rooftop action because the land was mostly flat and areas like the different sections of Vegas were separate from the rest of the Mojave. Standing on a rooftop in Freeside for example would allow you to see over the walls and notice that the two areas aren't actually connected to each other as well as the empty flat land surrounding the exterior cell. That and the fact that the buildings are placed specifically to be viewed from street level, and from the rooftops they look mashed together and misplaced. I will definitely add stuff like that to areas out in the wasteland that won't be affected by that problem, though. It was one of my favorite things about Fallout 4 -

At the moment the only NV DLC world I plan on doing is the Divide, which will be connected to the rest of the Mojave. While it's unlikely the other DLC areas will be made, I will be expanding parts of the map so there will be some new areas to explore -

Aerial view of Freeside (sorry, no Kings sign) Project's not dead or anything, but I admit progress has slowed down a bit due to some other things I've been busy with. Most likely I'll be previewing Black Mountain and Jacobstown next -

Just as a brief little update, progress has not slowed down on the project and I'm now approaching outer Vegas, past the NCR farms and towards Gun Runners. Once more of those areas have been completed I'll do another demo video. Bonnie Springs Camp McCarran exterior -

Mostly the same, but some locations will have changes to them and there will be some new ones, too. The Strip is likely going to be one of the last areas to get finished, so unfortunately we won't see that for a while. -

I recall seeing a reddit post that one of the people behind Project Brazil (or the team, not sure) started a D.C. remake. I've got my hands full with the Mojave, but hopefully we'll see that get done as well. -

1. This isn't an exact remake, I said previously that it's supposed to be post-FO:NV 2. This is a project that I started doing for fun, I'm not reaching out to anyone about quests and stuff like that until it's finished because I don't want to make any promises I can't keep or have someone take it over before it's complete. Once it's done and uploaded, if anyone wants to make mods based on it that'll be fine as long as credit is given -

I try to make a little progress everyday, but I'll admit I have other mod projects I'm actively working on that I'll be able upload sooner. I'll try to make another video today to show the other areas more clearly. -

Currently I use a Vertibird located at Vault 111 that takes me to the Mojave Outpost, but it's just for testing purposes. No, nothing is replaced by this. The new world spaces are completely separate to the Commonwealth and have their own location and map data. Once the world space is complete I'll add in a method of travel there than makes more sense such as a train or perhaps a salvaged plane from the airport and a new NPC that takes you there for caps or something similar. -

Thanks c: Yes, the implied canon ending for NV in this mod is the Yes Man ending, as that's the one I got the first time I beat the game. Factions will all be returning in some form, but there will be some changes to them. This is why the Ranger Unification Monument at the Mojave Outpost is partially destroyed, after the events of the Yes Man ending part of the agreement for NCR to stay in the Mojave was for the statue to be pulled down by the securitrons, so now only part of it still stands which IMO looks just as good. There may also be some new smaller factions as well; since Caesar is dead in this timeline, the Legion will be broken up into smaller tribes while the remaining loyalists will be only the toughest and most experienced Legionaries that survived the battle. There will also of course be some familiar faces returning as well, perhaps even a few of the NV companions at some point. I'm eager to get into that stuff, but the world space is the most important part right now. -

No. I assumed from the start that would be considered ported content, not to mention that this project actually ended up being much bigger than I originally intended. When I first started this I remade that part of Freeside seen at the end of my video first in a separate worldspace and the sole purpose was to bring back one of my favorite player homes from NV. After I had finished that, I just sort of kept going because it was fun to do and I wanted to see how accurate I could get it. -

If I could get some help with that side of it I'd certainly appreciate it. One of the most time consuming parts of this project so far has been trying to plan out how I can "fake" the look of the old meshes with Fallout 4 stuff. Which I admit is kind of fun as well in its way, but I could make progress much faster otherwise -

A few more images of in-progress areas. To clarify a bit more, this isn't an exact remake of the Mojave but rather my interpretation of what it's like during Fallout 4's time. Which is why there have been some changes to a few areas. Towards Camp McCarran and New Vegas Near Vault 19 Destroyed Vault 19 (Will still be partially enterable, but some areas will be blocked off.) -

I'm not going to make all of the meshes and textures for those things from scratch. Recreating the worldspace and interiors as well as any other misc things I've added such as enemies, takes a lot of time to do, especially for one person who's not the most experienced modder anyway. Certain buildings such as the ones on the strip will be effectively impossible for me to recreate with 4's assets, so there's not much of a choice. At least for the time being. I'll continue to stick with only FO4 assets for as long as I can, but I'm going to hit a road block with that sooner or later unless I can sort that mess out. I'll post some more pics soon
