Actually, there's a mod to remove debris from lots of settlements. Some odd bits and bobs are still untouchable, but you can clean up the vast majority. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4640/?

Settler Marriage | Kids | Family Living

I'd love if this could bump you over the 20 limit without requiring chems and funny hats. I like the idea, I hope something comes of it. -
MOD Request: Gifts to add affinity w/ companions

Screw it, let's just turn all the companions into self-contained dating sims. -

What Fallout 4 Needs to be a Good Game (RPG/Survival)
Jeffman12 replied to joeymetts13's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
This should actually be possible. After all, the companions are (mostly) limited to using objects that are within their inventory. I haven't figured out how the enemy AI works yet though, so I'm not sure how to implement this though. I'm pretty sure I've seen this happen already, when a melee enemy is too far away, or a mutant with a missile launcher runs out of missiles. -
I believe homemaker has an option for the street lamps it adds to be wireless, well, as wireless as normal light fixtures, that is.

Wrong, they used a map editor, not a janky first person camera ingame. Seriously, get over yourself. -
What Fallout 4 Needs to be a Good Game (RPG/Survival)
Jeffman12 replied to joeymetts13's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
Performance Tweaks can all be counted on to occur if not already, by the time the GECK is released. Your desires for the companion AI are contradictory. Enemy AI seems fine to me. I get all the "right" amount of cover taking and grenades for my skill level. Maybe if the enemy AI was a little more judicious about wasting grenades, sure, but that's it. As for 'structure': At its best balancing, weapons should present trade off, not a strict hierarchy of tech levels. Unfortunately, we have a hybrid system taking the worst of both. All of the things you list after exist or are on the way given how these things have gone with the previous series entries. Would be nice: Give most of these time. Karma wasn't that great, New Vegas' faction system was far better. Personally, I prefer the simplified perks only system, although I do think some of those perks should just be given freely when leveling. Persuasion could use some improvement, but that's an entire topic in of itself. Finally, as for maps, give it a couple years. -
Don't forget, the descendants of all the characters have taken up residing in the same places all their fore-bearers did.

Mod Idea - Resurrect Your Spouse (Possible Newbie Spoiler)
Jeffman12 replied to Calzien's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I think an important part of the game's plot is dealing with loss. That being said, the rest of the game seems to ignore that loss, so why not be able resuscitate your perfectly preserved popsicle? I have some ideas on how it could unfold, a sort of mental screenplay, if you will. -
Immersive HUD for New Vegas comes to mind, I hope that's coming back. I think I'd prefer holding a key to show the compass, myself, but if Immersive HUD is coming back, those will likely both be options.

Mod request/Buidling inside the castle walls
Jeffman12 replied to kyle6233's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I too get this issue. The only mods I have in common currently are spring cleaning and homemaker, I'm not currently playing on my PC though, so I can test that out and see if I get better results. I remember having the same issue somewhere else initially... I'll need to go check that out too. Edit: Yep still a problem. Huh.. Could it be keywords? The other location is the shack behind the drive-in screen. -
Oh, but why would we want to waste a modder's time and effort with such a thing when you can just go buy a dot matrix printer and an Apple IIe to simulate the experience. Then again, who am I to tell a modder whether or not they should even attempt such a task? Actually, I think my dad has a spare Apple IIe just taking up garage space, let me ask if he's willing to part with it, and I'll get back to you.

It's all in the title, basically, in a similar spirit to raider power armor, or maybe even as a full replacement/alternative for it.

Just so you know, all the dialogue is currently recorded for that mod and ready to go. It's only waiting on the CK to be released because none of us are quite crazy enough to implement it directly through FO4Edit. And that's why we don't come to you for your benevolent approval on whether a mod should be made or not, o great and wonderful StS. And no, you didn't commit an act of satire, saying "Hey look at me, I'm doing the same thing as these other people but less substantively" is called replication, not irony, or ridicule. You made no point, you had no message other than "It would be unrealistic if I were to fulfill any of these requests, therefore this must be true of everyone else." Even my joke request, I could knock out in a weekend with the CK, and it's even possible now. Heck, that might be my first original work of modding, but it still gets the point across of unrealistic expectations better than your tyraid. Oh, and that thing about 'porting' a landmass from a different game complete with full voice acting and quests, it's already happening, it's called Skywind. Maybe you've heard of it? Also, Tale of Two Wastelands, a more literal port job. EDIT: \\// Ah, yes got my design philosophies confused, thanks for pointing it out.

Has anyone requested functioning boats? Considering how much of the map is dedicated to ocean, I think there could be a lot to gain (Of course, NPC boats would probably need to be a thing too)

Re-Enable Console in Survival Mode
Jeffman12 replied to Nocturnal240's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
Indeed. And I've actually still gotten stuck in some areas, requiring tcl to get out. I'd hate for an otherwise legit survival run to end with such a fate.- 7 replies

Are you kidding? If I were to attempt this asinine scheme of theirs, I'd have gone for something nobody could take seriously. "Make the wasteland great again" would be the subject title. The rest of the content would be as follows: "We all know that canonically, donald trump used his money and influence to live long enough to become the president that saw the bombs fall. Not because of war, but because America was too great for the rest of the world to handle. Heck, it probably wasn't even the Chinese, our great leader would have known ahead of time, he's got a ton of friends in China, the Chinese think he's great." "The mod I want wouldn't take a lot of work, but I guarantee you, it'll be huge. I want all the billboards in the commonwealth to reflect how great things are, how great America is, and remind everyone that Trump did it, Trump got the presidency. They can keep their existing ads up, but just have some kind of nod to the leader of the free world." And for kicks why not throw in: "We all know that the Enclave's attempts to make America Great again are likely because they are descended from the man himself, and his cabinet. To that end, X-01 should be renamed to Trump Armor." "As an added bonus, I want the following items to be rebranded: Brahmin = Trumps, Jet = Trump Trumps, Brahmin Steak = Trump Steak, Deathclaws = Trumpclaws, Radscorpions = Trumpscorpions, Fancylad Snack cakes = Fancy Trump Snack Cakes, Dirty Water = Trump2O" "Trust me, it'll be Great." And you know what? If someone did f***'n end up making this, so what? Some people'd probably get a kick out of it and everybody wins. Bonus points if all the Trump is replaced with Drumpf. Or heck, I could have brought it home as a joke further, by requesting that we make Blackreach great again, make it an asinine mod request for a different game entirely.

I'd think it was funny if the post wasn't literally the absolute minimum effort required to be considered "sarcastic". Seriously, it'd take more creativity but less effort to release yet another unmodified version of UnitZ on steam.

2. Opinion is irrelevant. That's up to whoever might decide to do it. 4. Nonsense. If a similar effect can be done through modding, or by hand, as both are the case, it can be further automated. Since I first started playing, I've wanted to be able to set up an armory station to provide my town guards with standardized gear and weapons. How I imagine it could work: 1. Set up an armory bench (Allows the user to designate which armor and weapon items are used by guards if available) 2. Set up a stockpile container. (Drop base items in to have them converted to the standard format by an NPC working the armory bench) They interact as follows: The player may designate, for the sake of the example, a tactical bayonetted pipe assault rifle as the desired standard. The player then drops all the extra pipe pistols and rifles they have into the stockpile. If an NPC is assigned to the linked bench(es), they remove the items from the stockpile and replace them later with the desired modifications. Guards will then take the items that match the finished product description out of the stockpile and equip them. To prevent players from exploiting this to get, say, the best armor mods, before they can craft them, we'll just say it's limited by the player's crafting skills. Rather than handing each individual character some stimpacks assuming they lack any, having a med store should automatically provide 1 to 2 stimpacks to each settler (Thus dragging fights out a little more immersively before they stumble around to regen HP.)

Maybe as protectron and assaultron parts respectively?

I felt kinda ripped off, actually, I ended up spending most of my time with Boone, Veronica, and Arcade, and I felt like the others deserved some of that time, but I just wasn't interested.
