missed that, thanks. still, its good to bring it some attention right?
-
Well the title is self explanatory, i couldnt find a thread that suggested it so far. Dont starve is an excelent indi that deserves praise and attention, it has so much potential, its already, without mods, a fantastic game with a fantastic developer that cares about the longevity and future of the title. They recently released mod tools, and expanded mod tools that allow for all kinds of new moddifications. SO, in short, this wonderful game could use a site like the nexus to help streamline the modding process, and further the expansion of the game in the future. WHAT SAY YOU!?

make it compatible with crafting mods, so that specific gear can only be made with x number of rare pelts. alchemy regents FINE cuts of meat. Unique animals found in special areas at a specific time, day, year, season.
-
aylieds are not native to skyrim, they were cyrodilic. although you could possibly find a few in the northern jerrals.

suggestions for a smithing/crafting overhaul. break down gear for raw materials reconstruct dwemer golems/centurions/spiders armor variants of leather and hide armor variants of steel and iron bonemould gear and northern variants of bonemould clothing craftable at tanning rack visible changes to improved gear and armor, improvements are more frequent but more costly. rare schematics and plans for unique gear, opens a new crafting tab gear repair system, armor wont break but loses quality,

WORGTONGUE sword request with reference pics
xraigin replied to xraigin's topic in Oblivion's Mod Ideas
also if anyone wants something drawn up as concept art i do that too. you can see some of my work at http://xraigin.deviantart.com/ ask for me on that site or pm me here. i am on here alot. -
this is a sword that i want made. is there anyone interested unfortunately i dont have a scanner so the quality of my drawings is cut by crappy resolution that my webcam has. its called worgtongue and it is of my own design. i faked all the geometry but as long as the final product looks this good im fine with it. the size should be about the size of a hand&half sword (slightly longer longsword) and i want it to be a one hander. though making a claymore would be cool too as long as this one is made first. the textures used should be silver or gunmetal (GUNMETAL PLEASE!!!) for the guard and pommel (the ring is silver). and the blade could be fine steel, silver.. the guard was alot of fun to draw but the original reminded me too much of the witcher and that pissed me off.. i went through like six versions of the pommel before just putting a ring in the things mouth lol. PLEASE SOMEONE MAKE THIS FOR ME!!!!!!!!

right i see what your saying. its a dystopia type thing anyway so the kvatch houses would work. maybe a little altered. maybe i should just pick another game XD. iv been riding oblivion for a long time now and maybe its time for another.
-
yeah that one looks promising i agree XD but even though i understand the strain that it would put on most pplz computers i have to question it lol. the reason why i ask is because i'm learning the construction set and i want to make a horror mod using a few buildings like this. where zombies werewolf's and vamps can break into the building through windows and you have to board it up and stock up on supplies to survive the horrifying apocalypse. if you fail you flee to another refuge or die! maybe not all of the buildings could be this way but it would be sweet if some were.
-
is anyone doing a mod that opens up all of the buildings in a certain city? like how open citys opened the gates this mod would open the doors and windows on the buildings and would make the buildings more immersive. is there such a mod in development? if so how much does it affect framerate? when it rains does it still rain indoors? like how it rains on you when your under a canopy. is the outdoor ambient noise muffled when you close the door? are there any things that can affect the building like hitting a window with an arrow. or punching the door till it comes off its hinges. (breaking glass would be another cool mod if that hasn't been made) basicly im requesting an immersion mod like open citys for the buildings to be more realistic. starting with residential buildings and then moving to the cathedrals and guilds and finally castles. im sure this would change the scaling of each building considerably. because some interiors are like the tents in harry potter fitting the mass of a watermelon into a baseball is the best way to describe that ROFL!!!

right....that is exactly what i mean. but i would also like to see the stock races changed to be more fitting for the filter. maybe this would go good for nehrim, the nehrim races and npcs arent so damn ugly.
-
hello. i have a suggestion for a mod that adds a filter effect to oblivion that gives everything a cartoon feel along with a bunch of other additions to sacrifice the realism for a better visual effects and diversity. for a game that is an attempt at a realistic medieval fantasy game there are just too many things that don't look very real. also lack of character variety. like the fact that there is no facial hair on most of the npcs (sheogorath being the ONLY exception- and thats IF you gotSI ) or that most every npc is an unrealistic level of fugly. there are some mods that kinda aim for fixing that like the unique features mod but it would seem to me that variety would be an easier thing to achieve if the graphical aim was set to cartoon instead of realism . that way if a character looked but ugly it would be harder to tell because of the filter. it would also open up a door for some clothing mods to fit with the game like McMutton's Hero Armor and lower the bar on detail for many modders allowing projects to focus more on playability rather than detail. well its only a suggestion

ok heres a nobles suit design that i half-ass'd on gimp . took me like a half an hour to do this so please be kind! not supposed to be the last supper as a reference i used a 19th century tux and just played with things i could add to it. all i could think of that would add to it would be the cape and cane. maybe a pauldron on the left side and some ornate looking steel cuff-links what do you think I KNOW I USED THE SAME COLORS
-
maybe silver would be better than red lol
-
this is something that is real simple. and would be cool for a bard class. just re-texture the foresters shirt. with these colors. and put some sort of swirly musical patern in it. forgive me for how horrible i am at using photoshop/gimp actually its just an example of what i can do really quick '

Hey there its me again. DONT WORRY im not going to get as excited about this as i am about the "wow landscape" suggestion. (though you should be as excited as me XDXDXD) this is just something i have seen nobody do. or maybe i wasnt looking hard enough :teehee: id like to see some more unique outfits in the leveled list. there are really no lv list overhauls for clothing. and im not talking porno mod clothes or goth emo or anime. i love all of those things..well not the emo/goth stuff/// but it doesnt fit the game at all. i would just as soon replace alot of the crappier clothes. (there are many outfits i would not even let a begar wear if you know what i mean) but with things that actually SHOULD go there in the place of something like (brown tunic) i mean things from different century's medieval i think we have plenty of that...just cover it with more brown and well really be in the 13th century ROFL renaissance NO WHERE NEAR ENOUGH early victorian (though that would have to have some sort of fantasy flair to it. make it lore friendly and just...badass and maybe make it all a bit more vibrant. id like to see a rich argonian diplomat wearing a black and purple tux and top-hat. sword cane just in case lol and id like to see that more often. some more interesting npcs. at least in appearance. the best clothes i have seen for what im talking about were made by slof and mcmutton. countless others would be good here too. but your names dont stick out in my memory so you dont get mentioned XP i could see this going well with a-lot of upcoming projects like the steampunk revoloution thats got this site excited THIS i can help with. at least in early development. i CAN draw and would love to make some of these outfits myself, at least in concept. tell me your thoughts on this and ill get to sketching some things soon. though it may take a while before i can scan them. maybe i can do a little in gimp to give you more of an idea. (though i doubt it)

why would it start in elweyn if the post has shadowfang keep and scarlet sanctuary in the title of course it starts in the north. @ Raathas yes that would be awesome. i have NO idea how to achieve that. iv seen an old school zelda UI but i dont know how they did that. there are some really talented people on this site. oh and the steampunk guys should love the idea of this mod. goblins and gnomes. engineers thats why we need this thread to stay alive. thanks alot. but unfortunately i am not the kind of modder for this. I AM A VISIONARY! iall iv ever done was an armor for my own personal mod which you can see a video of here http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video.php?v=136167526401267 i dont know what my privacy settings are but maybe you can see what i did there. but i cant make this. its just a request. maybe i could do some textures. start with invasion of the scourge flashback "with the worgen as an addition maybe." that could be the beta. Tirisfall glades silverpine forest/with part of alterac for dalaran and the plaguelands the trees from the dark forest would do good in the plaguelands. and some retextured redwoods would go good in silverpine. Undercity Gilneas WORGEN (maybe) Dalaran pre-wotlk .. (i wouldnt really be asking for a wow mod without wanting a good dalaran. so maybe this should be a separate project to be added later) Acherus maybe Naxxramas maybe the types of architecture i think that is up to you. skingrad would be cool for gilneas. (undercity / ruins of lordaeron) is up to you i personaly think that alied ruins and some retextured arcane sanctum things would go well here give it the necropolis tile underneath with some other things and you are ready to go. all of the places that are like acherus and such undead places could use the new tile set for the necropolis and maybe the theyron castle mod would be cool to use to replace both acherus and naxx. a dark creepy undead theyron. i dont know if that mod is a resource though. i know im talking too much. but its fun for me to give you guys my thoughts in hope to inspire some of you to team up -

...you did not just say that. have you ever played it? you ever even touch the box? ever play warcraft orcs&humans? its the amazing story. heavy lore. epic battles waged open war. each race has a tragic war laden backstory putting most races on the line between good and evil whats right or whats necessary. an environment that is extremely diverse and original. nothing like any scrolls game to date not even morrowind can compare to the environmental depth that wow has. i think the question is WHAT NOT TO LIKE! if you havent played it i suggest you do. its not for everyone but if you are a scrolls fan or lotr fan you should have a positive opinion of the wow universe and would LOVE to see it remade for the roleplayer or fpsrpg / actionrpg enthusiast. -

right. thats kinda what i was thinking thats why i said the northern part should be the first thing started. -

ok like i said previously it should start in eastern kingdoms for obvious reasons. and they actually go WITH the lore. (exception of Dranei. whom seem to just come out of nowhere in warcraft lore) orc settlements in blasted lands and on the border of swamp of sorrow trolls in the hinterlands makes PERFECT sense ( i know they arent darkspears but this is the oblivion engine your dealing with) goblins have set up shop in stranglethorn vale (why not. they really run booty bay) Tauren can have the badlands. seems right. Night elf in the eastern plaguelands (seen repairing the dieing trees/ goes with lore from warcraft 3.) all others are in their proper place these placements are permanent unless someone wants to spend the next 5 years on kalimdor. this map should be a simpe guide for those who ACTUALLY wanna try this -

i see your point but at the same time i also realize that merp and nehrim are on a different scale. HUGE QUESTS/voiced dialogue hand tailored environment ect. also sureAI is A BEAST when it comes to this sort of thing. the most professional team ever. this would not have to be so strict because wows graphical setbacks will give you alot of room to work with (meaning we can half ass it a bit) i dont see the whole world being created in a hurry. maybe one area at a time/ most likely starting with the height map of eastern kingdoms mainly because alot of bethesdas stock mesh/textures would fit in well with it/ and we already have both of the big starter dungeons in the northern parts made.(with permission to use of course) SK SM and its probably the coolest place to start because of the horror theme and the racial placement. (all you deathknights out there) kalimdor can be left behind for a while.(sorry druids) its a good project that i can see many of the best modders working on. someone like mr.silka working on the deeprun tram just for s#i6s & giggles would be a good example. thanks for your oppinion. im glad i actually got a response (edit) "NORTHERN eastern kingdoms should be first"
