Oh my god thanks alot man. I wouldve gone insane if it didnt work.

Ok, I recently re-installed Oblivion because it was crashing frequently. However, even with NO MODS AT ALL, the game starts crashing immediately as soon as it gets past the Bethesda Softworks loading screen. I have an old version and it is the GOTY edition as well. The only thing I have put into the Oblivion Directory was the new patch, and OBSE. I need help because I really need to play this to keep my sanity. What should I do?

Also, DON'T DOWNLOAD OBMM. It is SO frustrating, you'll just wanna bash your computer to bits trying to figure that crap out. Manual installs are way easier.

A tutorial on how to because I have Vista as well. 1.Get WinRAR. 2.Download your mod. 3.Extract mod from WinRAR to ***(I made a folder for my mods in Documents). 4.Go into the folder where you extracted to. 5. All mods are different, so if it is things like armor or weapons, or quests, etc. Anything that has Textures, Meshes, and an ESP file, copy and paste into Oblivion Data folder (OS:C,Progam Files,Bethesda Softworks, Oblivion, Data). 6. If step 5 didn't work, read the ReadMe file in your mod and look for the *Installation* section. 7. If step 5 DID work, launch Oblivion WITHOUT OBSE and click Data Files, then check off the mod because it should be there. I hope this helps your Oblivion gaming. Well first off, for the PC (which is what your talking about), you can download mods to change the user interfaces, maps, EVERYTHING. You can change hotkeys, controls, anything with mods or the simple Options tab. So I believe your statement is invalid.

When I type in http://www.tesnexus.com it just loads forever. I NEED MY MODS!!!!! lol
