  1. I've created a custom spell using the first spell scripting tutorial over on the cs wiki, but I have to deactivate all my mods to load ingame via the console or any other means. I'm assuming that there's a workaround as he mentions that thats a problem, and I know that other custom spell mods seem to work, but I can't figure out how. any help would be appreciated.
  2. yes, everything is currently normal, but the supersonic horse, also, I'm running faster than normal.
  3. sorry, I'm not using obse at the moment. apparantly, if you pray at a shrine of zenithar with you're horse on top of it, you're horse goes supersonic. the running problem seems to have fixed itself, but my horse won't stop zipping around.

  5. I don't know what's wrong. I fast travelled on my horse to a cave, and suddenly everything is moving and animating at atleast 2x the normal speed. I can now ride my horse from imperial city to cheydinhal in less than 2 minutes. can anyone suggest a fix?
  6. here's the situation; I'm creating a mod with lots of text, and I want the lips to be moving when the dialogue is showing; but I don't want to record my voice. how do I do this? another issue: I looked at how it was done in "integration; the stranded light", but it looks like audio files were half the download. I know there's a mod to make the game use one audio file for all unvoiced dialogue, but I can't seem to find it since I read about it. any help?
  7. I need to import and export nif files into blender, but I'm not sure if the scripts will still work in blender 2.5. I would download 2.49, but the download link on they're site won't work. if the 2.5 scripts don't work, does anybody know a good download mirror for 2.49?
  8. okay, twice more, (after a long break due to my boneheaded failure to keep track of the disk) I have attempted to import a model into oblivion. the first time, I applied a phong material onto my model in softimage xsi, I got the same result as last time; the flower could not be found. second time, I applied a modified phong material, with the texture on it, and exported it into nifskope. I found the purple flower, set texture paths, and showed it the name of the texture like in almost every tutorial, I didn't see the texture but, undeterred, I exported it to oblivion, this time it was purple! a nice shade, and i believe, a step up from gray, but not looking like the door it was supposed to. the object has been triangulated the object is one mesh it has been uv mapped modeled in xsi exported as wavefront .obj imported to nifskope never saw the texture appear in nifskope I'm pretty sure the the .dds with the colors is a texure I have a normal map any suggestions to my problem?

I'm rather new to modding and have finally figured out how to upload a mesh, I have assigned texture directories (data directory), but the texture doesen't appear, now supposedly there is a magical purple flower that makes everything fine and dandy, but even when I hit F3 I can't find it, can someone help me?
  10. okay, here's my problem: I've got this custom item (it's a static mesh like a bookcase) 312 tris, fully modeled and textured. got the files in they're proper places, set the texture search for the nif into the data directory (as per this tutorials instructions; http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSk...re_Search_Path) everything's dandy, I open up my tes construction set copy, load up the oblivion.esm, open up some random exterior, go to the static item section, go to the furniture section, right click "new" enter the name, and input the mesh location, once I'm done, click OK (quest item unchecked) and wait, the item never shows up on the list. What am I doing wrong?
  11. thanks to the sagely advice that I have received from s4int, my camera has been fixed :thanks: , yet one problem remains. my bow doesn't want to fire. I have, once again uninstalled and reinstalled oblivion, deactivated different mods that might be the problem, and tried again and again. can someone please help me? Here's a more complete list of my mods; cidnothump.esp CurseOfHirsine.esp (I'm pretty sure that this isn't the problem) entius gorge from the unique landscapes project (highly doubt it) Maigret s foxes (I've had this one long before the problem started) capes and cloaks mod (doubt it as I have had it for a while) I am running vista home premium 32 bit os can someone help me?

I have recently installed the darNified UI,along with the gears of war camera mod. here's my trouble; when I had the mod activated, my bow would not shoot. in order to rectify this, I deactivated the GOW camera mod, I could get into first person, but I couldn't see my weapon. in order to fix this, I deactivated the darN UI and fixed the ini file under mydocuments/mygames/oblivion. no different. I am certain it has something to do with the hud_reticule.xml that I replaced in the menu folder, so herein lies the big problem; can't find the menu folder. when installing the mod, I spent about 2 hours looking for the menu folder (I really wanted that mod) and finally found it. I looked again to fix the reticule and, loe and behold! the menu folder has mysteriousely disappeared and I spent another hour looking for it! can someone help me?
