Imo the game is great but kind of arcade-y and more of an adventure than an rpg. I hope someone removes those floating balls and gives more meaning to the rpg elements and side activities/exploring and make the whole thing more "realistic" (in dbz terms).

Wildshape currently is pretty underwhelming. Forms stop at an early level 12 and they don't scale afterwards. It would be nice if one or more of the following was added: -new "end-game" forms of natural beasts. -additional wildshape feats or scaling current forms. -tweaks in current forms (e.g. only the wolf form increases speed, which makes smilodon etc animations seem weird because they are too slow). Thanks! PS: Forgot to tag it as a mod request.

My opinion of why fallout 4 is a good game. [spoilers]
Seremoth replied to zax141's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Definitely a good game, but more of an empty shooting gallery than an rpg. Like the man above said, you have to forget it's fallout and probably forget fallout altogether... I did pay for fallout though so, yeah... -
As someone who was modding both TES and FO since Morrowind I have to agree that the modding scene of F4 is, if not dead, hectic at best and that most people here are in denial or are just talking about mods like "adding stains on windows" or "fancier dialog wheel". I guess you could say that the modding scene is more alive than ever, filled with mods like these. Personally I really wish for a mod that brings forward the game's rpg elements... oh wait.

I love the game and it's a huge improvement over the previous ones in many aspects etc etc etc... Now, to the point: Some of us don't like the dialog system. Bethesda tells a story of their own, but makes it difficult for us to make our own story. The voiced protagonist is great but... I would trade him any day for a mute protagonist and more dialog options. -There is not much room for RP. -The dialog choices are limited. -The dialog choices are similar with each other in most of the cases. -NPC reactions/consequences are limited and most choices lead to the same reactions. -SPECIAL/perk/skill checks are gone. Only generic % charisma checks left. A lot of people feel it's a step backwards compared to FNV and even FO3: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1550676-dialogue-system-is-dreadful-and-is-a-step-backwards/ http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1552046-i-love-the-game-but-i-dont-want-to-be-this-person/page-2 Is it possible to be done something about it?

In response to post #30244950. #30259185, #30295245, #30305985, #30323060, #30334450, #30364155 are all replies on the same post. True. But some money are better than zero. If they are enough you can even find a part-time job. The current donation system is not efficient at all. We CAN make a change to the modding scene through it.

In response to post #30244950. #30259185, #30295245, #30305985 are all replies on the same post. Exactly. A brief pop up just before you download is usually quickly skipped by someone who wants to download and test the mod. However after the user tests it and goes back to the nexus, excited, wanting to endorse that mod, then he should also see an option to donate. And what you say about reminding people that even a small tip like an 1$ donation would be significant, by having this small prefixed amount to the donation button, is very true and will make almost everyone consider donating.
-
I am just a user but I have this to say. Please expand the donation system!!!!!!! -Create a prominent donation button next to endorse button. No more pop-ups though. -Create titles, with coloring depended on the donation. Let people know who supported which mod. -Make the nexus profiles a little more interactive as if they were a mini-game themselves. Any side-effects from "pointing out" donators and having a shiny big donation button will be overshadowed by the benefits. Good modders may never have the chance to maintain/create a mod because they also have to work for food. Give them an extra motivation!

I need a mod compatible with Requiem that can add something for me to dump my perk points into. The problem is that I have too many perk points to spend and would like either to specialize and not dump them in trees which I don't want to use or use them in some other way. Any ideas?

[Request] Disable level cap
Seremoth replied to Hisomu's topic in Pillars of Eternity's Pillars of Eternity
Or nerf experience gained/ balance quest experience. This mod is a must hope someone makes it ASAP. -
I wouldn't mind if the game had SNES graphics. But effects clipping? Makes my eyes bleed! Besides the wand projectile being like throwing a FISH towards the opponents, it starts way too early and clips with the mage.

After so many "random" crashes due to memory spiking in the past I've learned my lesson already  That's why I got so frustrated this time. When I was installing the mods this time around I cured many crashes and thought I managed to make it stable... but poor me got owned again... I will post what will have happened in (probably) a few days. Thank you Tony, reading it atm!

Edited the OP with 2 logs... too burned out too continue... must sleep... will add more tomorrow...
-
To get Papyrus logs are you editing the Skyrim.ini in MY docs or the one in the MO profile?....the game uses the ini's in the Mod Organizers profile folder not the originals in My Docs. Skyrim Uses a TON of RAM...here is a pick of my Skyrim going over 8 GB in use...PIC the graph below the "System Commit" one is Physical RAM in use..it is over 4 GB...for you that would result in a crash... Pffffffffff forgot that MO's virtual system applies to inis too... Thanks! Depends what you use. Textures, effects, stress of the game at the time... everything. And mine has no issue even under stress. Do I have to re-download skyrim monitor and post graphs to persuade you...? Do you believe I am lying or something?
-
Why did I even bother posting here? Seriously... What's next? Someone advising me to format? Get more fans for my tower perhaps? Thank you but with all due respect, I need people who know more than me about these crashes not less than me. I already said that I stressed-tested skyrim, monitored ram usage and there is no such problem. I also described that the crash happens at very low ram usage and in general, at random. You would think that a memory related crash would happen when I simulated a bloody civil war, ran past them at 1500 speed, killall'ed them and spawned them again with enhanced blood high-res textures and the rest of the mods working normally. (And sorry for being rude but I've had my share of frustration for today). I need more RAM yes, but NOT for Skyrim (except if I want to use ENBs etc). Something has gone wrong during gameplay. I got no orphan scripts though and everything seems fine thus I can't figure out what it is... For starters, I can't figure out why am I not getting papyrus logs!!! That would be a great start, if anyone cares to help about that!

God.... Only ETaC is actually resource-heavy (and not that much without the custom textures). Some of the rest are script-heavy, which is what worries me and this is limited by the engine, not the rig you have. Also, any idea perhaps why am I not getting Papyrus logs? :/
-
............Guys I thought I made that clear. I appreciate the replies but please read the OP. Memory usage is not spiking out of limits even when I stress the game at extreme extends. My machine can run it on ultra - the only reason I am not (running it on high) is that it is "heavily" modded but I have optimized the game in every way possible -low-res textures etc. Ofc I am not running on a 32bit system, I wouldn't even be able to utilize my 4gb  The GPU is 1gb. Anyhow a memory crash is not the issue here, we can safely exclude it. PS: You don't need a good rig for a modded Skyrim. Well - depends on what mods you use. If you use high-res texture mods, ENB, or mods that spawn a gazillion of entinies in your screen, yes you do need a good rig. In general mods and their scripts are limited by the game engine itself - they are hardly limited by your rig - which is mostly the reason that so many people with top-notch computers have CTD problems. The memory patch was mostly for these people and it solved another game limitation.

Have you trying running BOSS or LOOT mate? Also crashes at startup could happen from INI wrong configurations, so back them up and delete them and try to run the game.

[whine]I can't even begin to describe how fraking frustrated I am with this game. I deeply regret spending money on it. For years I have been trying to mod it with a decent amount of mods and keep it stable. I've modded Fallout in the past with over 300 freaking mods and played it without a hitch and I can't even play this ***** game with no more than a hundred without it crashing continuously. I make this post here, because I am bloody curious of what the hell happened this time around.[/whine] Sorry, had to vent a little, but enough with the whine, here's what happened (this time): I've recently decided to play this game and started modding it very carefully, having learned from past mistakes etc... What I did: -Used mod organizer. -No INI tweaks, only safe ones which I had tested extensively. -Installed one mod at a time and tested each one extensively. -ALWAYS start a new game, as I know that scripts from mods etc are attached to the saved game. -Testing included waiting a few days in game and at least half an hour usually trying the mod's content. -Reading everything on nexus about each mod and their compatibilities. -Trying to have as few scripts running as possible. -Tried with and without bashed patch (SOT excluded) -Installed memory patch, monitored memory and optimized as much as I could. Stressed-tested it with cheat codes spawning various things. It took me 3-4 days to install all the mods and make it stable. How the crash happened: After about *20* (real life) hours of gameplay (2-3 days in-game) I had no crashes at all. Suddenly I enter Arcadia's cauldron, tried to use the alchemy lab and got a CTD. Tried to load the last save but got another CTD. Tried loading the save before it and it worked. Until I played a little and got a CTD. -There is no save bloat. None at all. -No orphan scripts with save cleaner. -Crash happens when loading certain games and randomly while playing. -Crash has never happened during area transitions. (Will try to use Script Scalpel and see what I get... I don't expect much though...) Here's the load order: Papyrus log from "random" crash: Another log from crash on load: Here are the last five faulting IPs of the SKSE log: My system specs shouldn't be of any relevance since memory usage is fine and the crash seems to happen after a long time in-game and without under any stress, but here they are: Any insight on the bloody cause of these CTDs? Will be updating if anything comes up...

Subjective yes - until you listen to the soundtrack that is. I am not the author or know the author but this level of work must be bloody recognized. From my understanding many of the tracks are a complete re-orchestration of the vanilla soundtrack - as for some others I don't recognize at all, but they all fit perfectly imo. They can be used as an addition or replacement. Dragon encounter: You can find the mod HERE.

Bumping after a few days to rephrase the question - Any perk mod compatible with Requiem?
-
Hello. I want to use Requiem with the Dragon souls relinguishment mod and the Perk potion mod because I want to have a huge money sink (perk potions) and a reason to hunt dragons for a looong time (dsr). My problem is that I need a perk SINK. Somewhere to throw my perk points into. (I used PerkUP (10 rank perks) with Requiem in the past but the one was overwriting the other in some things.) Any suggestions to solve my perk sink problem (compatible with Requiem)?
