The problem is quite similar to this: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...rough_Obstacles And I already tried disabling better cities, though when I jump in the water by the ship they sometimes can free themselves as they pursue me, but a level 1 mage in ooo doesn't survive long. Also, anyone know if there is supposed to be any npcs in the ship prior to the dark brotherhood quest? It was empty when I looked inside. And I will have to probably disable everything to see if they pop up again, but right now, three straight days of battling numerous oblivion problems has drained me.

Its not a mod problem...they just sunk through the floor....

Its not better cities, open very hard lock, ring of the vipereye fix, or the recharge spell....lets see what else have I not used before....cobl, akatosh mount and buy the wyrm...the ayelid stepstones, frostcrag reborn, midas magic....though why would any of those cause this? Shooting in the dark is so much fun... :( Edit: What a welcoming atmosphere....maybe I'll try somewhere else.....

Could it be because I don't have wrye bash? (Something I simply don't understand and the readmes are down....not that they helped last time I looked at them :confused: )

Somehow forgot to add my mod list....

I recently restarted a new game in oblivion (with many new and/or different mods then my last play through. And now the pirates at the waterfront district are gone, but npcs still stop and talk to them and I can still hear the replies. I just can't interact with them myself. The only mod I have that I am aware that alters the waterfront is bananasplits better cities. All help would be appreciated.
