  1. I like the vanilla power armours, but I'd prefer something a bit more realistic. Something like this: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/callofduty/images/1/19/Juggernaut_Concept_F%26B.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100615205324 http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/callofduty/images/4/44/Juggernaut_Concept.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100615205323 (For some reason I can't post the images in the post directly). This is some concept art of the juggernauts in CoD: MW2 (which I prefer to the ones that are actually in the game). I'd love it if someone could make a power armour version of this  Thanks in advance.
  2. Well their illusions spells clearly aren't very good, since its clearly visible from the shore even with the fog. Though as Dante said, the distance would be scaled up if Skyrim was scaled up to the size of a real place.
  3. That's another point; there's a giant castle full of powerful vampires just north of Skyrim (close enough to be visible from the shore), and no-one's noticed in all of the thousands of years that they've been there?
  4. THANK YOU! I didn't know about the other file (I assumed all the relevant files would be in the same place). I changed the setting in that file and set it back to 0 in the wrong file. Now it works perfectly :)
  5. I've done all of that. I'm absolutely certain that the SkyrimPrefs.ini file (which there's only 1 copy of) is the only one that contains 'bFloatPointRenderTarget'. Yet I still get the message...
  6. As you may have guessed from the title, I recently installed ENBoost. It seems to be working, except for one fatal flaw; I get the following message: Error! bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 is not set in SkyrimPrefs.ini or you have multiple copies of the file. It is set. I searched through the files to make sure there wasn't anything else that contained the phrase 'bFloatPointRenderTarget' - there isn't anything apart from the readme. I'm really stumped as to what the problem is. Could someone help? If it helps, I should add that I tried installing ENBoost a little while ago, but I installed it wrong. Still, I thought I deleted all the old ENB files and replaced them, so that shouldn't be a problem.
  7. Well, I've tried the things that've been suggested - I installed ENBoost. Apparently the later versions of SKSE come with sheson's patch already installed, I just had to activate it. I also did a clean install of my graphics drivers - that alone seemed to help a lot. I'm not sure exactly what caused it, but now my game's running a lot smoother. Thanks all!
  8. Maybe he wanted to access the Skyrim test area? I had tons of fun there in Oblivion :P
  9. Thanks for the responses everybody  I don't know how to check whether or not my GPU drivers are up to date, but I had an nvidia popup not that long ago, which told me to update them. Given that I haven't had one since then, I assume its the latest version, or at the very least, a not-that-out-of-date version. I also have 8GB of DDR3 RAM, which should be more than enough for gaming (isn't it mostly handled by the GPU and CPU?). I use task manager to make sure there's nothing else running. I even have steam set in offline mode. I know. The number I set it to is way above what's recommended, so that shouldn't be a problem as far as performance goes. Well, in the HiAlgoBoost readme it mentions the steps that need to be taken to make it compatible with ENB mods... wouldn't that make them work together? If not, I'll try them both separately to see which is better. I've had SKSE installed for ages, though not because of ENBs. Ooh, I didn't know that existed. Don't want to risk sounding like a noob, but how exactly will that tell me what the problem is?
  10. My gpu is a nvidia geforce gtx 760, and my cpu is an amd fx 6300. I listed the mods I have installed in the spoiler tag, so it doesn't take up a bunch of room in this post. If you don't want to look through the list, then I'll tell you that none of them are graphics enhancing mods (apart from grass on steroids, but the grass density is low enough to improve performance), and none of them should slow the game down considerably. Except, they do. Or at least, something is. I know Skyrim has the annoying fps glitch that fallout 3 and new vegas had, but even still, with my pc I should be able to run Skyrim on pretty decent settings. As it is, I've had run programs (can't remember which ones, sorry) to improve performance, and severely downgrade the graphics from their normal level. I've even had to lower the game resolution to 720p, which is pretty noticeable on a big monitor. Since my last session of playing skyrim, I have installed HiAlgoBoost, which should help. I feel that this shouldn't be necessary however. Can anyone offer any explanation as to what might be causing my performance issues? The mods I'm using are:
  11. I recently installed the FNV stutter remover (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34832/) and its worked wonders for game performance. Is there an equivalent mod for Skyrim? Preferably something on the nexus, so I can just use NMM, but I'd be grateful for anything at this point.
  12. The delay of what when getting attacked? The delay of getting off the horse? Rather than spawning in a new horse whenever its convenient, you could install the Convenient Horses mod, which lets you (amongst other things) bind a hotkey for quickly jumping off a horse and automatically drawing your weapons. This seems like a more elegant solution. Whatever you do, don't spawn in any quest related horses or you might break their respective quests.
  13. http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee415/NathielSurefire/ThreadNecromancer.jpg Seriously, you bump a nearly 2 year old thread? This is one instance where I wish people would just made new threads.
  14. TES6 won't be out any time soon. They'll bring out Fallout 4 before it for sure, and that hasn't even been announced yet. I doubt we'll see TES6 before 2017, maybe not until 2018. Also, even though there's no way it would ever happen with today's technology, I wish it would be as big as Daggerfall.
  15. How do you know race is always inherited from the mother? AFAIK the only person born from interracial breeding is Agronak gro-Malog (who admittedly is the same race as his mother, but we can't generalise from 1 example). I think a problem with Oblivion's protagonist being the illegitimate Septim heir is that you'd end up becoming the Emperor/Empress at the end of the game, meaning you wouldn't be able to carry on adventuring, you'd have to sit and rule the empire. It would also create a ton of lore problems in Skyrim, which is set later.
