Just here to agree that the new UI is terrible, I've genuinely just discontinued my membership because the experience for searching for mods is now so much worse.

Also if you are lazy a quick fix for this could be to go to mistveil keep, open up the console, click on the jarl and type "setrelationshiprank player 3" and then talk to the steward you should be able to buy the house.
