I want to play Skyrim on my first play-through save file. However, the mods are severly outdated and I'm not sure which mods it even had. I've tried to load them, however, they just CTD. Any ideas on how I could get the latest of the save files working? I can offer a copy of one of the saves if anyone thinks they can get it working. :confused:

I don't think you want us to make blind guesses. So you should probably post your mod list and load order.
I think it was a behavior patcher I had used once before. The problem seems to be gone. Thanks.

Melee Problem:
When I am in 3rd person view only, Multiple hits are registered when repeatedly pressing the attack button. When a weapon swing is being animated I can hear multiple weapon swing & hit sounds before one swing is visually completed. This causes a massive balance problem for me. The major problem produced, it does this for the NPC's as well. Sometimes they seemingly one-shot me. But they actually hit me 10 times with one swing.
Any idea how to fix this? I'm about to try a fresh Skyrim install if I can't figure it out.

New player homes that have a quest or objective/obtain/challenge to obtain? A plus if they can all be installed together for increased options.
And, a mod that allows quick storing of multiple items? For example, I have too many potions. I want to be able to walk up to a box and select something like, "store all ingredients/potions/armor/etc".

The immersion issue:
Wearing clothing with lots of skin showing(maybe bandit armor, or various skimpy mod outfits) but is outside where it is snowing. Or wearing too much fur when the area is seemingly warm.
Idea:
- Create alternate meshes of one outfit. The different variations, when switched too automatically after standing still for a few seconds, will look like the player added or removed cloth/leather/fur/etc to compensate for the temperature of the current area/region. This would be much like if you were to walk into a warm building with a sweater on; after you feel the sweater/hoodie/jacket/etc is too warm, you simply remove it. or maybe you remove a pair of gloves, or a hat, and so on.
- A possible way of triggering this is to have a script that is activated once a new area is loaded or crossed into. When this script is activated it will wait for the player to stand still for second or so. Then the character will change to the version of the current armor appropriate for the climate; it would look much like when you change your outfit via hotkey or armor change through the inventory.
- And this would give more opportunities for animators as well. They could, if they choose, could make character animations that would make the character look like he/she is actually removing the clothing bits.
Uhh
I would just suggest, if someone picks this mod request up, just make one script for one room/area and one set of clothing. And kind of leave it as a modders' resource if you don't want to do more than that.

If I were in your place I would probably look at starting a fresh install - not especially helpful I know.
It turns out it was an a .esm completely unrelated to dragons. I'll check out that localization fix. Thanks =)

Are you using BOSS to sort your load order? If the list you posted represents your current load order then a few things look out of place compared to mine although I do not have anything like that many mods running.
I have ran BOSS. Still getting the CTD. I'm currently using trial and error; Turning off a mod, running the game. If it still crashes, its not that mod.
My Dawnguard.esm shows up with a red background to it in Wrye Bash, which seems odd to me.

I'm getting a CTD at Bleak Falls Barrow, just outside it, when a dragon there starts to fly up to the sky. I don't think any of my mods modify dragons, so, I have no idea.

Is there a program that will create a report after a CTD? I'm hoping there is one that will say what exactly caused the crash.

Can someone help me by either making a mod or giving me the script necessary?
I need to type in:
set ACERFninstall to 1
to uninstall ACE. However, I've been refraining from using the console commands for the Steam Achievements (i don't know why i bother, but i do!).
If its possible, some help me out please.

One problem with modding projects is too much communication. People on a project find that they are spending all their time reading and responding to messages from team members. It can get so bad that nobody gets any modding done and it is all just talk talk talk.
Thanks for you input. I'm just hoping this will help with quick modding questions. And if someone is around that knows, they can throw some input in now, or later. But hopefully faster than what I've seen here =) I'm not looking to use it for huge lengthy tutorials or anything.

Ever been in a project where you wait a week for any kind of reply? Now that really stops any kind of work. At least if all you want is an approval message, and a "go-ahead!".
If you get too much communication you can choose to not answer. If you get no communcation, you got no choice but to wait.

I hope there's nothing rule-breaking about posting this on the forums.
I'm looking to start a group in facebook where beginner-intermediate to expert modders can unite to help each other out in real time via the Facebook chat. My reason for doing this is because I rarely can find any experienced modders lurking in the chat room. I'm hoping this group will help make a collective experience building/learning environment for all current modders looking to get better.
My only requirement is for all members to have at least one mod with a working .esp.
- member to have at least some proof of their skills level
And remember, this is just experimental for now.

I had CTD's from all those Quest_ mods. and the SoS mods caused Black Falls Sanctum interior cells to be missing.

Using the Xbox 360 controller, I would like to bind two directions on my direction pad to equip sets. The problem is, equip sets are always set to ctrl plus a number (ex: ctrl+1). If anyone has knowledge on how to bind ctrl+2 to direction right, I'd appreciated it. I can figure out the rest from that line.
Following line is direction right bound to hotkey 2:
Hotkey2 0x03,0x50 0xff 0x0008 0 0 0 0x908

Holy s***, thats some intense immersion! I'm half tempted to try, but... that seems a bit too time consuming, and may make the game feel tedious. I may give it a shot after my 2nd run-through, and after this semester.

I would like to see a perk that makes the player character transparent while in sneak mode.
The idea:
- Stealth, in the Sneak perk tree, has 5 ranks. For each rank, the character becomes a little bit more transparent while sneaking, to compliment the ranks. This is purely for peace of mind for someone like me. For, I think its irritating when I am "hidden" when I am clearly within the mob's field of view.
Stealth Ranks
- You are 20% harder to detect when sneaking. = 20% transparent
- You are 25% harder to detect when sneaking. = 25% transparent
- You are 30% harder to detect when sneaking. = 30% transparent
- You are 35% harder to detect when sneaking. = 35% transparent
- You are 40% harder to detect when sneaking. = 40% transparent
I was planning on making this mod myself, but I am so far from being able to script this, that TES: VI would be released by the time I got it done; esp since I'm busy with school too. So, I'm posting the idea in hopes someone will make the mod in case I don't.

I know there is a Skrim Online project. However, I'm not here for that.
If I were to create a means to play Skyrim cooperatively with another player, what schools of software/hardware knowledge would I need to accomplish this?
Anyone who could shed some light on this, I would be eternally grateful.
