Thank you for your assistance. As to my nephew he doesn't play the game on my computer we had been talking about various mods we play and like. So he came over one day when I was gone and it 'surprised' me with his favorite mods. I was like getting a new game full of surprises... and a few annoying 'what the ****?" moments. lol Sherrrid

My nephew and I play skyrim. When he was over he added a whole lot of new mods to my list. The game works fine, but occasionally I find something 'new' that I have no idea what I need to do. I have been killing 'giant frost spiders' and every time I do I get a new 'lost key'. Does anyone know what mod this is for or how I can go about finding out what it belongs to in the console? I've tried looking up 'lost key' 'giant frost spider" and various combinations and although there were many references none seem to be the answer I need. I LOVE using UFO (Ultimate Follower Overhaul mod) however, I bought Heartfire and Dawnguard and now it does not work. My BOSS evaluation says I need the UFO Heartfire and Dawnguard addon.esp's before it will work. Where do I get these addon.esp's? I've tried the forums, I looked it up on both steam and nexus mod lists... I found LOTS of suggestions to down load them but can't find the actual esp's to down load. What am I missing? I kind of like the idea of a school for orphanes... provide training/ teaching, shelter, food, gifts and supervision as an option..... although I would still like to adopt more children. Taking them out on my travels.... if I was as strong a character as FrankLee appears to be that would be an option, but right now it would be distracting since I would be too worried about them getting hurt. (yes I know they can't be killed and it is only a game... but it still bothers me. Even now I walk up to bandits and don't start killing unless they strike first. yeah yeah yeah, It's just the way I am.)

I am so glad so many people seem to want more children. I love Heartfre, but can't stand to pass all those wandering cold and hungry children. I have multiple homes that I never visit once I purchase them so I can stick two kids in each. Since I don't mod I have only a vague idea about how much of a nightmare all this is would be for some. I was hoping it would be simply going in and changing a number in the files... 'sigh' but things never seem to be that easy any more. Since so many people want this mod I am sure some compassionate, family orientated modder who can't stand passing those wandering children...begging while cold and hungry in the harsh Skyrim winter.... "shiver" will come forward with their wonderous skills and help us right this horrid situation. Sherrid

Kryptopr I was hoping it would be something simple like go into the file and change a number... unfortunately I have no idea how to mod, but I can go into the file and change things if given simple instructions. I thank you for confirming that it is possible however. I think I might make a request for it on the request mod line. She decides not to use the soul capturing one as two people who would suggest such treatment obviously had no soul and opted for the one she calls the 'Castrator' and takes steady aim....) I would like to be able to put two children in each of my empty houses or purhaps a mod where you can build a very large house with multiple bedrooms ... I love Heart Fire but I can't take it any more... all those wandering children... the crying, the 'I'm so hungry', the begging.... I have all those empty houses which I never use after I buy them. I only visit the one with the children in it. Is there any way I can increase the number of adoptions? As it is I avoid the areas I know where the orphaned kids are... sigh... Help!

I guess I'll have to save up for another computer. Kinda p***** me off since when I bought this one the guy said it had a "wonderful" graphics system. I guess when I said "latest Video games" he heard " latest video". But until things change I'll just have to spend my time staring at my Skyrim game drooling like a hypoglycemic diabetic in a chocolate factory. Thank you, Sherrid

Is it possible to change or add a different Graphic card to the intel HD Graphic system? Or would the Intel i3 core need to be replaced as well? They are both from Intel so I do not know if a Graphic card from say Nvidia would work with the Intel i3? If I can change out the card alone I'l find someone to put it in. However if I would have to change both the processer and the graphics card would it be more economical if I just wait severl months and purchase a new computer instead? I really love my huge screen and would like to keep it if possible. In the mean time I'll continue playing older games like Oblivion and DA. Thank you for any assistance you can give me. Sherrid

My Computer is a Gateway ZX6900 Table top with Windows 7, 4 GB RAM, Intel core i3 CPU, Intel HD Graphics. It does not play Skyrim and the computer is less than a year old. Is there something I can do to download a compatability program OR change out something in the graphics system to make it work? If I need to switch out or add some new hardware what would be best? Exactly what tells you your hardware is not WDDM-compatible? A Gateway One is not something a PC gamer should have, nor any PC using Intel IGP. If you were told it would be good for games by someone selling computers, you were lied to for the sake of closing a sale. I have the latest drivers for my computer. That is what I always do first if I have a problem. Then I look in the forums and programer sites for any information. It usually works, but this time I am up against a brick wall. Window's uses a AERO interface program that when I run a compatability program says the graphic card is not compatable with a WDDM game. I love downloading mods so I can switch up the fundamental games. I do not want to go to XBox or some other gaming system. I have always used a pc and want to keep using one because of the wonderful mods available. What kind of lay person pc's are good for games? I just bought FO 3 GOTY CD's (not stream) and am greeted by crashes each time I hit "New" to start my first game. I have completed everything I can find on the forum with no success. I have finally come to the conclusion it is my graphic system. I have windows 7 64bit, Intel HD graphics, Intel Core i3 processer and the dang thing uses Aero. I finally came across the suggestion to run Aero check and it says that my system is not WDDM compatable and to check for a driver that will work. I can not find such a driver. Is it possible to work around this? I need to figure out what to do... can the graphic system be switched out (Gateway screen and CPU is one unit) or can an external graphic system be set up or can it just be overriden with a downloadable program file that I can't seem to find? Which would be most cost efficient? I just got this computer a couple of months ago and was told it would do well with games... it does on those like Oblivion, Morrowind and Dragon ages Origin but not FO3 and I am anticipating that it will not work with Skyrim which I is one of the reasons I got a new computer. Just out of curiosity what is the scoop on Algernon Manor, Amalia's Manor and Oranyal Tower at Mournhold? I've tried looking them up and the only name I get is there is a Modder by the name Maura Amalia that did "Necessity for Purist " for Morrowind. Were these to be things added after release that never got finished or are they some kind of inside joke. I can usually come up with information about inside jokes somewhere, but if these are one of them it a very covert inside joke. :blink: I know, I know, "Curiosity killed the cat." but as I believe, "Satisfaction brought her back". Thank you for reading my post. For anyone else who may have this problem I finally came up with a solution. I have found a way around my problem by downloading a companion mod that included a request option with multiple requests including to follow me. It didn't work at first but I played around with it and found that if I loaded up on televanni scent until I she had a disposition above 90% then used it's request to follow and she went. It would not work until I got a disposition above 90 though. Sherrid

I found a code to retrieve lost objects that is needed for the quest, is there such a code for people that I could use once I got back to the camp? Would it work since she refuses to leave the slave cage even as it stands open? Sherrid

Yes. Bought her, dressed her, perfumed her, talked to her about her role and her desire to be the chiefs wife instead of a slave. Then she askes if we should travel together I pick "yes follow me" and she says "why did you ask then" and stays put. I tried the "wait here" and then re-did the follow me and niether works. Sherrid

I have completed all the tribe quests except for the one where the tribe leader wants a televani wife. I keep asking her to follow me and she says "why did you ask then" she stays in the middle of the cage in all her new finery and I lose 10 disposition points each time I ask. Is there something I can do to get her to follow... a council command or something? I need to finish this so I can finish the main quest. Thank you for any assistance you can give me. Sherrid

My conversation menu will pop up and if there are more options to chose than can fit into the window the right hand slider goes to the bottom of the slot not allowing access to the conversations that are listed above the window. I downloaded some companion mods that allow more conversations than the vanilla version. These work fine as long as they all fit in the window. When I try to pull the arrow up to allow access to the above conversations as soon as I let go of the mouse to go left to chose it sweeps back to the bottom. I have tried slowing the mouse down, but this does not work. Is there a console command I can use to access the informatin or is there something I can tweak in the game to help with this?
