    It would make sense to at least give the named and boss npc's you're supposed to fight the manual treatment or a default unlimited companion style gun so they don't anti climatically run out (railroad/brotherhood leadership, raider bosses, Kellogg, that plot courser, etc)

     

    It wouldn't be a non-playable companion style weapon since you can't loot those - and the whole idea here is to get away from infinite ammo where possible - but yeah, I'll likely do something with important NPCs if necessary. It's more the "random shop-keepers in Diamond City that were just given a 10mm Pistol" kind of NPC that I probably don't need to bother fiddling with.

     

     

    Nice work guys! I would love to see something like Escape from takov game feature, where you have to actually check your magazine to know how much ammo do you have left?

     

    I would too! Really there's a lot in Escape from Tarkov that I'd like to see in other games. Notably in single-player immersive-sim type games.

     

    I think they will release a single mode in EFT, PVE (something is something)

    Antistar you should create a discord channel, it would be cool from my point of view :-)

     

    I'm actually kind of the shy and retiring type, so I've always avoided instant-messaging type programs. :wink:

     

    That said, I don't really know much about Discord. How do you see it being useful in this context?

     

    I see it useful to have your server (channel) and go posting for example new features of your mod to give an example, you are obviously the admin of the channel and you can decide who enters or not (you can do it private or public, that's your decision) then you can put on your server different types of categories, for example ...

    Offtopic:
    Pets:
    and other things you want to put, also help a little in your shyness would be a good way to interact in a "quick" way with us, think that at all times you would be the boss of your server.
    Sorry if I explained myself wrong, as I said on other occasions English is not my native language.
    I think it's a good idea, and since you told me that you're a bit shy, it could also help you to remove that shyness by interacting with other people in an "instant" way

  3. I won't. It's been 3 years now since I started modding on Medieval 2 Total War, I made about 300k lines of code and I'm not going to ask 20$ for that.

     

    If this Russian is too stupid and greedy, that is not my problem. We are not companies, we are fans. He's been doing unfair things that disgust me. As Fuse00 said, he's just an attention prostitute. Anton would have gained much more from everybody in releasing his mod quick & free (as everyone does on Nexus). You are beging on his feet, that is all he want Totti2911. You should not support him.

  4. The vanilla automated turrets look sort of like miniature versions of the Phalanx CIWS, come to think of it... But yeah, I'm not putting those in. :wink:

     

    There will most likely be a closed beta for WARS before it's released to the public, like I've done for a lot of my mods. I'm sure it will need it; WARS is a lot more complex than WMX for example. Anyway I'll put the call out for volunteers when the time comes. :smile:

     

     

    As a general update; I've been going back and tweaking materials for all the weapons; previously I was just using mostly the same settings across most weapons (though different for things like metal vs plastic, of course), but now I'm giving them a bit more care.

     

    I've also made a start on the dynamic naming overhaul for weapons. It's similar to Better Armor and Weapon naming and sorting, but with some changes. (I appreciate Ruddy88 and Bottletopman allowing me to use it as a starting point.)

    To recap: This is using Syn's gorgeous Barrett 50 cal resource, with some changes by me as usual. It's the last weapon I'm planning to add for the initial release of WARS (though I do want to add more weapons later on, after release). That means there probably won't be much in the way of screenshots to show for a while, but also that now I'll be moving onto doing all the plugin-related work; stats, distribution, etc - in advance of actually getting this mod released.

     

    As a reminder, WARS is a weapon behaviour overhaul - and to some extent a combat overhaul - not just a weapon pack, so there's a lot of plugin work to do. I'm not sure how long it will all take. I've been looking forward to doing this side of things though, so I'll be working hard on it. :wink:

    To recap, this is using Syn's amazing Barrett 50 cal resource, with some changes by me as usual. Minor ones this time; mainly I gave it a front sight post for the flip-up iron-sights as the resource didn't have one, and touched up the textures on the carry handle and .50 BMG rounds. I made the M107A1 Muzzle Brake and QDL Suppressor from scratch myself, though.

     

    Yes, the QDL Suppressor really is that huge. They're actually designed to clamp onto the M107A1 Muzzle Brake. I probably could set it up in-game so that you could only attach the QDL Suppressor if you had that muzzle brake attached, but I don't think I'll bother - to make things simpler for the player.

    The barret is insane, we need a 12.7 to distribute justice for the lands of FO4, good work :thumbsup:
