  1. have to also plug the trusty old hunting rifle. Even after Broken Steel i was still using it. It was reliable and had carried me for so long through early parts of the game that it is like an old friend, you know you can count on it.
  2. Yes. This is what happens. That message is the point of no return for the independent questline.
  3. I picked up everything in a Steam sale at the end of the year for like $15, and according to Steam, it is the Ultimate Edition, because I have all the parts. Ultimate Edition was announced the week after I bought it, I believe. I'm not an early adopter as much as I want to be. I put 45 hours into NV, just accidentally finished the main quest last night, but I still can't justify the $60 price of a new release even though I know I'm going to spend at least 100 hours in this.
  4. I personally would love something like this. Close up the multi-year gap to however long it takes you to walk/hitch hike across the US to Vegas. Pass through the midwest, 'Ronto, Dog City, etc. You arrive in Vegas, work as a courier for a bit then BAM to the back of the head, left for dead. Now you need to find out who shot you and why.
  5. The only play through that I came close to the firelance was when I was using Wasteland Travelers, and the explosion happened over a group of travelers a ways from me. So I meet up with them and lo and behold, one is carrying it.
  6. not with Super Mutants specifically, but of traveling through the Wasteland. It means you are playing too much, you mind is trying to solve problems while you are resting. Take a day off. :D
  7. I'm game. Male Caucasian Late 30s Midwest Accent
  8. I wandered into BigTown with Jasmine in tow, looking for Bittercup (had the Bittercup companion mod) and the two of them got in a firefight. Every single time I reloaded. Reloaded an old save and haven't been back to Big Town yet.
  9. This is an idea that does need to be implemented. It would add literal growth to the game, even if the realism was off, months instead of years, just having trees slowly growing out past Oasis would help with the immersion. You could see how your actions effect these, albeit fictional, people. now if only I had the skills to help it along.
  10. DO THIS!!!! ACK ACK ACK AAAAAAAAAAACKKKK!!!!!! Even if it is awful it will be awesome.
  11. Sydney. Now, you just need to figure out a way to put the bobbleheads on the characters themselves and when you finish/complete their associated quest you get the bobblehead. So when you finish Stealing Liberty you get the Sydney bobblehead, etc...
  12. I would find China interesting, see the fallout (heh) of the Great War from the other side, but I think I agree with others here that stated that Fallout will always be in the US. I would like to see the European commonwealth to see what happened there, but is it really a Fallout game then, or just another post-nuclear wasteland?. I like the idea of Berlin, London, Prague (big and flat city, lots of twisty little streets, great metro system) maybe Moscow (but that would feel too much like Metro 2033). As an aside, when I first saw Metro I though, oh wow, a whole game clawing through the dark metros that I began to hate. What I WANT though... GIANT open world. I want to be able to spend a year worth of ingame time and walk from the Capital Wasteland to the NCR. Be able to pass through Chicago, St Louis, VAST open wastelands of Nebraska and Oklahoma, NYC, Detroit, through New Vegas... you get the idea. Highwaymen, bits and remenents of other BOS groups, muties galore. Think the swampfolk from Point Lookout all the way through the Appalachians... I know this is really not feasible, but...
  13. Creepiest? Or most shocking.... Looking up at the clock and realizing that I had been playing for 6 hours without a crash. That and while testing some mods using someone else's save file turning to my left to see a deathclaw in mid-leap at me. Backpedal, backpedal... gah! FWE reduces slows that. Damnit...
