Hi all, I was hoping to play Skyrim with Reqiuem and various others mods installed, but I'm not sure if they will all work well together. I'm new to Skyrim modding so I'm hoping they will all work. I'll obviously read through all the documentation for the mods too.

Does anyone know if there is a mod which makes the world and local maps blank when you start out except for the immediate surrounding area where the character is, and which then fills the maps out as you travel around?
-
Looking through the various mods that add content, it seems that some of them unbalance Requiem a bit, so Iâve updated my mod list to hopefully better suit Requiem. Iâll start a new thread in the Requirm section, if anyone is able to give any opinions then that would be great.

I've since read about Requiem, and how it de-levels the whole game, and how it's a bit more rock-paper-scissors regarding magic/combat/stealth. I really like the sound of this (I loved that in Morrowind if you went into the wrong cave too early you would be completely destroyed), so I'd like to use this mod, ideally with one of the mods for an alternate start (the options seeming to be Alternate Start/New Beginnings, or Skyrim Unbound. I've updated my mod list, and tried to remove all of the mods from it which effect gameplay seeing as Requiem seems to be a huge mod that takes care of most of it for you. I've also added a few mods which apparently increase performance because my computer is oldish now relatively-speaking: Patches, optimization, and UI Sky UI5Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition PatchVendor Sale DelayRealistic Humanoid Movement SpeedNot So FastProject OptimizationPerformance Textures - armor, clothes, weaponsPerformance Textures - animals and creaturesPerformance PlusImmersive HUD Visual overhauls and weather Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul2K Textures - can my PC handle full version?Climates of TamrielStatic Mesh ImprovementSkyrim Flora OverhaulQuality World MapRealistic Water TwoXenius Character Improvement Quests and new locations Lanterns of Skyrim - All In OneWinterhold RebuildQaxe's QuestoriumCutting Room FloorHeljarchen FarmThe Forgotten CitySea of GhostsEnhanced Skyrim Factions - The CompanionsLegendary citiesHidden Hideouts of SkyrimFalskaarMoon and StarHelgen RebornDescent into Madness Roleplaying, survival, and immersion MissivesRanger CabinsCorners of SkyrimSimply KnockReligion - Prayer Meditation WorkshopAlternate Start?New Beginnings?Skyrim Unbound? Does anyone think that any of the above mods would "unbalance" the balance of Requiem? And would anyone recommend Alternate Start or Skyrim Unbound, particularly with Requiem? For the different start I originally thought that I liked the idea of starting as a completely random character in a random location as it would be fun to find out who I was and develop from there. But then I thought that given the size of the game and the time it takes to play (even more so when you add mods with more content, and I guess Requiem would further increase the game length as it sounds like you have to be patient and build up gradually), I wondered if it might be better to be able to choose the character type, and in my case I'd like to play as a pure magic-user first off, although I'd be happy to start in a random place. I'm also reading threads about Requiem and many people struggle early on. I'm happy to accept that while I'm low-level it will be tough and I'll have to be smart, avoid higher-level enemies etc., but at the same time I'd hope it wouldn't be frustrating. I did see a webpage somewhere (can't remember the link now) which had a list of mods to compliment Requiem and assist low-level characters by giving them simple quests to carry out so that they could get some experience and build themselves up. Does anyone know of any mods that might make Requiem a little less nightmarish for the new characters? I'm also reading that magic-users can struggle in Requiem? Is that the case? If so would there be any mods that could counteract that and make it fair?

I have a modded PC Fallout 3 GOTY Game in progress. I enjoyed Zeta when I played vanilla F3 GOTY on Xbox 360 a while back, but I found that the Zeta weapons were overpowered once brought back to Earth (not to mention not being lore-friendly). I guess I could just purposefully leave all Zeta weapons on the ship once the DLC quest is complete in my PC game, but I wondered if there is a mod which prevents Zeta weapons from being brought back to Earth?

Great, thanks, Iâll probably try Missives instead of Notice Board, and Ordinator instead of Perkus Maximus. Anything for an easier life!

Great, thanks for that. I'll post on the mod pages for Enhanced Mighty Dragons and Duel: Combat Realism, hopefully someone will be able to help.

I have a few mod-specific questions if you or anyone can help... None of the links work for the Unofficial Skyrim patches on this page: https://www.pcgamer.com/best-skyrim-mods/2/ Is anyone able to direct me to the unofficial patches? I was planning on going with the 2K Textures mod to improve appearance. Static Mesh Improvement (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655/?), recommends using it with Official High-Res DLC, but would this not be similar to 2K Textures? I don't want to be installing more than more texture-improvement mod. I like the sound of the mods Enhanced Mighty Dragons and Duel: Combat Realism. However I'm concerned that these may make the game too hard, and whilst I would like it to be challenging, I also want it to be fun. Does anyone have experience with these mods? Do they dramatically increase the difficulty? I can imagine that Duel: Combat Realism would be great if you were a melee character because combat might be more tactical, but I wonder if your character would be doomed if they were surrounded by enemies, possibly with ranged characters attacking also?

Yes I really enjoyed Morrowind and Oblivion (but both on Xbox), and Morrowind was always my favourite Elder Scrolls even with the limitations of the Xbox version, so hopefully modded Morrowind on PC will be amazing.

Thatâs brilliant, thanks for taking the time to answer! I never knew that Enderal was virtually a separate game, itâs amazing the time that people have taken to create these mods. Iâll go with âgoodâ graphics settings as you say, which with mods applied will still be way better than the Xbox 360 version was! Thanks again :)

Having only ever played Skyrim once on Xbox 360, I've now installed Skyrim (not special edition) + all DLC from the Elder Scrolls Anthology, and I'm hoping to install lots of mods to make it new and improved. I wasn't sure where to begin because there are so many mods, so I chose the ones that I liked the sound of (which is most of them) from here: https://www.pcgamer.com/best-skyrim-mods/ This gave me the following list: Sky UI5Unofficial Skyrim PatchesVendor Sale DelayRealistic Humanoid Movement SpeedNot So FastProject OptimizationImmersive HUDEnhanced CameraImmersive Citizens - AI Overhaul2K Textures - can my PC handle full version?Climates of TamrielStatic Mesh ImprovementSkyrim Flora OverhaulRealistic Water TwoXenius Character ImprovementLanterns of Skyrim - All In OneEnderal: The Shards of OrderQaxe's QuestoriumCutting Room FloorHeljarchen FarmThe Forgotten CitySea of GhostsEnhanced Skyrim Factions - The CompanionsLegendary citiesHidden Hideouts of SkyrimFalskaarMoon and StarHelgen RebornDescent into MadnessThe Notice BoardRanger CabinsCorners of SkyrimSimply KnockFrostfall - Hypothermia Camping SurvivalCampfire - Complete Camping SystemReligion - Prayer Meditation WorkshopAlternate StartNew BeginningsOpen Cities SkyrimRealistic Needs and DiseasesSounds of SkyrimWet and ColdHunterbornArmoured Skeletons and the Walking DeadEnhanced Mighty DragonsBellyache's Animal and Creature PackImmersive CreaturesTame the Beasts of SkyrimHigh Level EnemiesRealistic Animals and PredatorsZim's Immersive ArtifactsImmersive WeaponsHoned MetalWarmonger ArmoryGuard Dialogue OverhaulDiverse GuardsImmersive PatrolsRun For Your LivesTravelers of SkyrimImmersive College of WinterholdIndividualize Shout CooldownsPerkus MaximusDuel: Combat RealismApocalypse—Magic of SkyrimSneak ToolsThunderchildAlchemy and Cooking OverhaulIsh's Souls to Perks I was hoping to use NMM to download and install the mods (although obviously I will check the install instructions for each mod as I go), and I also intend to use SKSE (clearly required by a lot of mods), and LOOT, which might hopefully sort the load order and report problems. My questions, if anyone is able to help, are as follows: Is there any way of telling whether these mods are for Skyrim original or Skyrim Special Edition? Looking at some of the mod pages I would guess Skyrim, but I'd like to be sure How do I know whether they will all work with each other? Do I just rely on LOOT? I've tried to avoid mods that affect the same area of the game Will all of the mods support a gamepad? Ideally I want to be able to start the game up and then not need to touch the keyboard and mouse at all (I don't mind loading it up and tweaking things until I'm happy with the mod settings), partly because I want to play it like a console game on the big TV, but also because I will be too far away from the computer when I'm playing Will my PC be able to handle all these mods (it can handle vanilla Skyrim on Ultra High settings)? My specs are as follows: Operating System Windows 7 Professional Media Center EditionOS Service Pack -DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)CPU Type 4x , 4000 MHzSystem Memory 16220 MBVideo Adapter Intel® HD Graphics 4600 (1024 MB)Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970Audio Adapter Sound Blaster Audio Controller [NoDB]Disk Drive KINGSTON SV300S37A120G SCSI Disk Device (111 GB)Disk Drive ST2000DM 001-1ER164 SCSI Disk Device (1863 GB)Optical Drive TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224DB SCSI CdRom DeviceC: (NTFS) 103544 MB (7131 MB free)D: (NTFS) 1907727 MB (563233 MB free)USB Device M-Audio Fast Track Pro Thanks for any anticipated help!

I think I might give NVAC a go, just to see if I can go back to the super high 1080p resolution (the 720p resolution being fairly stable last time I checked). Whereabouts do I put the nvac.dll file? I know for FNV there is a plugins folder, but I can't find one for Fallout 3, not in the Fallout folder in My Documents, nor in the main Fallout folder.

OK so maybe I should head back to Megaton on foot (I need to anyway), and then try and get the bike running? And then assuming I can get it running then I use that to travel to distant places, then explore around there, then return to the bike etc? Incidentally I can't find anything about SkyrimTweeks, have you got a link. Meantime I'll see what NVAC might have to offer.
