I remember seeing a mod a (LONG) while back that fixed and zero'd all the iron sights. It might have been part of a larger mod however, which could be why I haven't been able to find it. Thanks.

I believe there was already a fairly in-depth and serious attempt at a multiplayer game mode for Oblivion (Same engine as Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Well, an earlier version, but still more or less the same stuff.), and it failed miserably. They were never able to get it to work as intended. Now I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm just letting you guys know that this has already been attempted before, with less than spectacular results. This isn't something that would just take a weekend of coding to work. It'd take months, years even. Is it possible? Sure. Anything is possible. Is it in any way sane or practical? I don't think so. It'd probably be quicker and easier to make your own game at that point. That said: Don't let me rain on your parade if you think you can give it a shot; Go right ahead and give it your best. -
[Idea] Self-Contained Lasers

Decided to break down and just make the mod myself. Almost seems like they had something like this in mind, what with the projectile field in the ammunition tables. I'll get around to it tomorrow after some sleep. True, and noted. Maybe I'll just make multiple versions: One with more-or-less equivalent damage to proper energy weapons, and another weakened version. Choice is always good, right? And maybe a third version which is just outright over-charged just for shits and giggles. As for addons, that's part of why I mentioned chromed barrels in the first post. Maybe a mod would be required to make it work (Or work more efficiently). Have some sort of mod that cycles the weapon using an external battery or something. That'd be a required mod for (semi)automatic weapons, and something along the line of an optional chromed barrels mod which would reduce the weapon wear that using energy shells causes. Although both of these would possibly require modeling, which I know nothing about. -

True. The thought did cross my mind. But I figured that, as Lt Albrecht mentioned, the weapon lacks all the focusing arrays and such, thus leaving a lot of the oomph out of the equation. That, and for balance. The cycling problem never even crossed my mind until now, and I thank you for bringing it up. Maybe only allow it in bolt-actions and revolvers as Geeves83 mentioned. As for the power thing, perhaps only allow it for larger calibers. .45-70, .50, 12.7mm. Maybe the .308/7.62mm and .223/5.56mm as well. High-jack away, my good man. I don't mind. That's an interesting idea. Although I'm not sure how exactly the "disposable" thing would work, if the engine would even allow something like it. Possibly make it reloadable, but take a long time. But it'd pack a massive punch. Edit: So, after taking a look at how ammunition types and such are done, it doesn't look like it'd be hard at all to make it fire the laser or plasma projectiles. Even has it's own drop-down menu in fact! Maybe I'll go ahead and see if I can make something of it. -
"Armor Piercing" Flamer Fuel

I just went ahead and gave it a shot. I'll upload it in a bit. Keep an eye out for Liquid Thermite. I just tweaked the Homemade Flamer fuel stats for now, but if you want, I'll see about making it into a proper separate craftable ammo. Let me know if you also want the stats tweaked. Right now I set it to x4 condition wear, and DT -30. -
Alternative 1st/3rd person view possible?

I think all you'd have to really do is just make it so your body doesn't "ghost" when you zoom in on it, and then maybe a few extra tweaks. Now how to actually go about doing that, I've got no idea... I do remember that Oblivion mod, but like ancalimonungol said, I don't think it ever really caught on. That said, I would love to see someone at least attempt it. <h3></h3> -
I second this. I felt it was always so restricting and almost broke the lore of the Strip to have it split up like it is. A single-unbroken Strip would be amazing. I'd love to see the same thing done with North and South Freeside. Having to keep doing huge detours to get to the center bus-gate to get around that place gets annoying real quick.

I was actually hoping that there would be a way to "revive" the Lucky 38 later on in the quest line. But I was sadly mistaken. So seeing a mod do this would be great. Maybe make a quest out of it to make it more lore friendly.

The thought crossed my mind, which is why I was thinking that the stats would be something like: Damage: x0.5 Spread: x0.5 Penetration: x4 Wear: x2 I'm just kinda throwing numbers around though. Essentially, it'd be weak. Because as you said, the batteries wouldn't be very powerful. And it'd cause greater wear. But the bonus would be pin-point accuracy and high armor penetration. But if someone can think of a better way to balance it, that'd be great. I've never been great at figureing out proper balancing. Kinda like beefed up AP rounds, I guess. @InquisitorChaotic: I can't tell if that was ment as sarcasm or something... Apologies if it wasn't. Maybe I just read that wrong. Need to get some sleep... But sure, I don't see why Plasma rounds couldn't be included. Possibly act like HP rounds on steroids that also increase wear. And I remember the Tesla Rockets from back in Fallout Tactics. Devastation towards robots! -
After seeing JaySuS convert the Laser RCW into a Tommy Gun (JaySuS Tommy Gun), it made me wonder: Would it be possible to make self-contained-laser ammunition? As in, you have a "round" which instead of gunpowder and a bullet, it has a micro-battery and laser emitter. It'd be one use (The battery and emitter would be burned-out), but act the same was as a laser weapon, thus turning any gunpowder weapon into a makeshift laser weapon. Maybe a weapon mod would be required? (Chromed barrels, or something to that effect?). Of course, I have no idea if the game/script engine will even allow this, but I thought I would throw the idea out there.

Better ammo crafting and weapon modding...Please?

I support both of these ideas. I did find it rather odd that you couldn't actually make any special ammo types besides the over/max charge batteries. And I'd like to add something to the weapon mods: make them non-permanent. Although I'm not sure if that's a something that can be changed. It might be hard-coded. Either way, I'd love to see more weapon mods. I've always loved games with weapon mods and customization: the more the better! Maybe add variants as well. Choose between a red-dot sight or a scope for example, if the scripting will allow it so you can't have both at the same time. -
Pretty much, I'll [Tab] to open my inventory or map or what have you. I might go changing things in the inventory, or just looking at the map or my stats. Doesn't matter how long I'm in the menus. But once I exit out and get back into play, it'll go from my usual mid-40 fps and crash down to the single digits, and this will last indefinitely until I restart the game. Going back into the [Tab] menus or the main menu, the fps will go back to normal while in the menu. I can be playing for several hours or just 5 minutes, it just seems to happen at random. I'm not sure if it's a mod that has started doing this or not, but I'll post up the load order if it'll help. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
