  1. On that note I also wish there was a mod for smaller boobs (that jiggle).
  2. ...or you could download the mod that retextures the archmage robes to look similar to the nightingale armor. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2484
  3. Just wondering if making hi-res textures was as easy as just increasing the texture size. I know sizes have to stay in ratio but what sizes could I use? Would this effect other ppl with lower setting or does it automatically scale down? Is there any other concerns that may come up when using larger sized textures?
  4. If a texture doesn't have a '_m' file, can I just add one and it would automatically take it or is there some file I need to change to make it look for one. Also, anyone know of a way I can adjust the reflect of the surface? I read somewhere it was in a nif file, I fount the file but don't know what a nif file is or what program I need to use to open it. This is what I have so far: Front Back
  5. This is what I'm getting now. It is way too reflective, any suggestions for a fix? I've tried a few different normal maps but even the original archmage normal map seems to be too reflective.
  6. Here's the finished robe and here is the hood.
  7. Thank you for responses. I finally made my first textures (since the original Unreal Tournament - man it was a lot easier then). I can make the normal map now, but the whole texture is showing up way too bright. Any suggestions?
  8. Thanks for a fast response. Is that under 'save as' .dds? There are so many options there and I don't know what does what... could you give more details?
  9. What is the official term for the *_n.dds files called? I think it's the bump map but not sure. Is there an easy way to make one of those from a created texture or am I just gonna have to wing it? Details: I'm working on an Archmage version of the Nightingale armor (picture attached). I want to replace the fur with feathers and redo the bottom of the robe to looks similar to the nightingale cape but taking a break to see it in game. I figure I may could make the colorful bump map thingy by mixing two duotone pictures from photoshop to retain the correct colors and give it a emboss look (is there an easier way?). I'm also curious about the black and white versions of some textures, what is their term and function? I have experience with photoshop but none in making game textures. Any tips or links would be awesome.
  10. Having a discussion with a friend about focusing on too many different skills. I said there may be problem because you would level too fast and not be as effective. Is this true in Skyrim? Was that true in the previous Elder Scroll games?
  11. They probably thought no one would be wearing Fur Armor. I would like to see more variety and some further Blacksmith options... even cooler if they added some fur cloaks, etc into other armor sets.
  12. I'd like to just throw a 1 hand weapon, then run up and retrieve it.
  13. +1 lol, I haven't seen that vid in a while.
