While I realize there are a number of necromancy mods all over the nexus (I for one use PsiKotics necromancy mod) that allow you to raise armies of undead to do your bidding, this is great and all, having permanent summons is fun to use, but not very practical in the grand scheme of things, minions always seem to fall behind and I find that combat is over before my skeletons even get to lay a beating on the opponent, that or they are constantly getting in the way and I end up killing them half the time. Bethesda has handled conjuration as just that, conjuring minions and using the corpses of the fallen to conjure different minions, and while having permanent summons is extremely fun, it just seems more practical to have a summon that suffers a time limit and can be placed directly into the fight. So this is what I propose: The concept of pokeballs being used to capture creatures in mods from oblivion (I think theres also one for skyrim as well) could be used to control your minions, now, rather than just throwing a pokeball and poof a minion pops out, how about placing those permanent summons of yours within a kind of "soul gem bag" with a spell casted at them, when combat is started, your summons will be released from the bag and begin to follow you, initating combat with the enemy as well, and when combat is over they disappear right back into the bag, if a minion is killed, they will be removed from your active amount of summons within the bag. On another note, this concept is a little more lore-friendly, as necromancy SHOULD be something people are afraid of, walking around town with an army of zombies, NPCs dont really seem to notice or even care for that matter, a bandit sees a weak little mage and begins to attack and is greeted by an army of undead soon after. I realize that I'm not a great modder at all so I don't know how to do this myself, but I think this could be done with someone that has knowledge of scripts with SKSE.

  3. well of course, melee is still a viable skill to go with, but it definately is not for mods like nVamp that make the game harder, but that is besides the point because that is what they are designed to do, but melee could at least have cooler animations to make it more fun to use...
  4. yeah it is hard, but people have made the animations for oblivion, and yes I know that animating is very hard and there are not very much animators as there are other modders...

I've wanted something like this for so long! ever since fallout 3, but nothing was ever created...at least nothing that I have run across D:, its pretty much the only reason why I never end up making a melee character, half the time I end up picking up a gun and using that instead... does anyone else think that something like this needs to be created? I think it would definately make the melee weapons skill much more fun

I was thinking that maybe someone could make a mod for new vegas, that would be a major overhaul for new vegas, using zombies, a mod that would be sort of like red dead redemption's undead nightmare DLC? I don't have the scripting knowledge in the GECK to be able to do this myself and it would probably take a very long time to create, I've always wanted to be able to play new vegas with a zombie mod and not have to worry about unfortified towns being completely devoured by zombies as soon as I walk into the town, and I've always wanted to be able to do my quests in the game without having to deal with questgivers behind killed. what I'm trying to ask, is if someone with a lot of time on their hands and loves to use the GECK to create a sort of undead nightmare red dead redemption DLC for new vegas, with refugee's from the apocalypse and safe haven towns that promise shelter from the undead hordes that now occupy new vegas, I also wanted to see the legion play a part in the mod, I think that the legion has hardly a presence in new vegas and that helping them out is hardly worth the effort in the game, maybe with a horde of zombies in vegas people would be so desperate that they would have to seek help from anyone, including the legion sorry for the specifics on what I want, I just had this whole thing written down on paper on how I was going to make this mod, but I dont have the time or knowledge of the GECK to be able to make this mod Can someone please make this for me? :D

  10. This is kind of silly, but I wanted a crossbow in new vegas, but the lack of darts for ammunition, (since this was taken out of the game) there is nothing to use as an ammo for a crossbow, what if throwing spears could be used as a model to be used as an ammo type to fire from a crossbow?
  11. my sound is integrated because im playing on a laptop, this is probably the reason why it's not working, I dont think I have a speaker fill option though...
  12. there was a galaxy news radio fix for fallout 3, that changed all the radio songs to WAV files, then forced the game to play the WAV files, rather than their MP3 versions http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7876 <---link to the mod there is a DIY guide, I tried making it myself in the GECK, and conerting all the files to WAV files for new vegas, but the problem still persisted.

While were patiently waiting for a DLC to be released, where do you think the DLC will be placed in? all of the fallout 3 DLC's (minus broken steel) were all set in different states (yes operation anchorage counts xD) I live in canada, so im personally hoping for a DLC to be placed in toronto, in the Pitt they speak about toronto (calling it Ronto) So where would you want the next DLC/game to be set?

I have this problem too, the only way that I was able to fix it is to fire the laser, then save and exit the game, then reload your save, be careful though because when your game reloads it might fire the laser and you could be killed... this fix only works about half the time I try it though...
  15. doesn't seem to be any way to fix this problem yet, you might have to try all over again and not turn the light off this time...
  16. glad to see Im not the only one with a radio problem in new vegas...I thought this would be fixed from fallout 3...
  17. If you could contact skycaptain at TESNexus, that mod has assassination moves, slitting throats, stabbing sleeping NPC's, however these are all through script extender and skycaptain has still not released deadly reflex 6, which hes been working on for a while so im sure hes really busy...
