  2. I made a fresh Fallout 3 install with some mods, and played through the story again. Everything went fine until I sat in the Tranquility Lane lounger, and then the game crashed during the loading screen. I've restarted the game and tried several times, but I haven't been able to get into the simulation.   3. Fresh install. The latter - I might just try a fresh install and see what happens after each mod is applied. Yep, I had the same issue with uFCOM. Good, those are the mods that take the longest time to install. Duly noted. I'll try DR5 instead of 6.
  4. I decided that FCOM was simply too unstable, it crashed way too much to be considered playable. I decided I would create a modded install, but a non-FCOM one. And to my surprise, it proves to be just as unstable - the game won't even start. Yes, I have all of the Deadly Reflex and Unnecessary Violence requirements installed, so I'm ruling that out.   5. Hey, it's better than what I have, and I can run NV on Ultra High at around 30 FPS. You should have no problem.
  6. I've tried validating my cache, and that worked a few times. I then shut down my computer to install a few Windows Updates, and even after validating the cache, I get the endless loading screen. Someone PLEASE help me, I'm starting to give up hope for this game.
  7. I finally got New Vegas after a while of thinking about it, and I'm enjoying it so far. However - when I press "Continue" on the main menu, the game simply gets stuck at the loading screen. Someone please help, I'm dying to play this game! Note: I am not running any mods.
  8. I did that, but the music that plays is a random file from the "explore" folder.
  9. I decided to make my title music "Through the Fire and Flames" for laughs, and changed special\tes4title.mp3 to my desired mp3, but it didn't work and for some reason the music is now explore\atmosphere_03.mp3. Could someone explain what I did wrong and how to fix it?

  11. I was using DarkUI'd DarN, but after switching to DarNified UI, the problem went away.
  12. Install the unofficial patches before FCOM, and then all of the texture packs/environment enhancers after you install FCOM. What I suggest you do is install everything in this order: Unofficial Oblivion Patch Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch Unofficial Official Mods Patch UOP Supplementals FCOM Bananasplit Better Cities Unique Landscape Compilation ALL Natural Immersive Interiors Then all of the texture packs and such. Hope I helped.

  14. This might not help much, considering it's still a cat race, but Cobl includes a variation of the Khajiit (Ohmes-Raht) and Elsweyr: Deserts of Anequina also adds multiple Khajiit variants.

  17. Oh wow I forgot to install uFCOM, silly me. I'll install that and deactivate the mods you mentioned, I'll see if it works then. I did install the mods in the order you mentioned, though. edit: THANK YOU YOSHH, that is a HUGE help. I'll redo the install over again with the mods you suggested.

Hi guys, I've recently reinstalled Oblivion with my preferred mod setup (FCOM+Cobl+OblivionXP+LAME) and for some reason, because I'm now using Mart's Monster Mod 3.73b, I can no longer get past the Loading screen when I try to start a new file. I have tried to rebuild the Bashed Patch and BOSS my load order multiple times, but to no avail. If anyone could take a look at my load order and tell me what's wrong, and if I should just go back to MM 3.7 to fix this, that would be greatly appreciated.   19. Alright, well the first thing I would upgrade is definitely your Processor. That thing is a DINOSAUR. Use your money wisely and buy a new motherboard, DDR3 RAM, and a decent processor, at least an Intel Core 2 Duo. You'll be much happier, trust me.
  20. It doesn't appear that you read the full post. I'm asking for a full tower under $175. The Obsidian is $280, which is WAY out of my price range.
  21. I would take said pill, but only under a few conditions. One would be if it kept me at the age of my peak physical performance. I'd also like it to be able to make me invulnerable to disease and any sort of wounding. However, if the pill did not provide this, I certainly wouldn't take it. Imagine having taken it, and then experiencing a car crash or other accident that would normally kill you only the spot or shortly after. You would be in severe pain for months, years, or even forever, and honestly, I'd rather be dead than be in eternal pain.

However, the only thing I'm missing is a good mid-tower or full-tower ATX case. I'm not willing to go above $110 for mid-tower, or $175 or a full-tower.   23. Alright, I deleted Deadly Reflex 6b and replaced it with Deadly Reflex 5 (with the hotfix) but once again, I get an instant CTD. I also installed Ryu Doppler's fixed Natural Weather, but that didn't help either. The last thing I tried was deleting the My Games/Oblivion folder, but like the other things I tried, that also lead to no results. I really don't know what's wrong - If anyone knows about possible compatibility issues, please let me know. I've really been dying to play Oblivion again.
  24. I just installed a few mods to make the game more interesting. However, Oblivion instantly CTDs. I don't know why, I used BOSS and installed all the OBSE Plugins for Deadly Reflex. I don't know if this is a bashed patch problem, compatibility error, or something else completely.
