  1. from what i know you simply stick them into your data folder, after that you will not have to load up any mods or anything out of the ordinary in the cs, you will simply have to navigate to them when making a custom item or whichever
  2. why not just make a scamp suit and put it on a scaled down npc, sure tis face wont move and it will have the normal npc animations rather than the scamp animations but it will still look like a scamp, the same can be done for the atronachs even you can solve so many problems with a large wardrobe
  3. may i just say, for the whole children aesthetics thing all that needs to be done is for the head size to be increased, the body structure itself does not need to be modified at all because it can be done via clothes considering something like 99% of the clothes on tesnexus are made to overwrite the mesh anyways, the only thing would be that they would have to use the same skin texture as im sure you already know, i mean its not like your going to strip down your kids is it?
  4. the main reason there are no children is because every npc draws upon the same mesh either male or female, there are ways to get around this though technically, first you would need a larger head mesh for a new race, next you would need to give your child clothes with modified bodies built in to give them a more child-like figure and finally mark those clothes as unplayable so that if said child is killed the clothes cannot be removed exposing the adult body the main problem with this way is that it would only work for npcs which doesnt seem like a problem for what your wanting to do
  5. you have to unpack the bsa files first with a utility like obmm, go to utilities, bsa browser, and select the bsa that contains what you're looking for then either browse through it and extract what you want or extract the whole thing once you do that you will be able to navigate to the meshes and textures and whatnot outside of the cs
  6. thank you very much, just tell me when you have something for me to do and i will be happy to do it
  7. I would enjoy it if i could join this project, my skills include a basic grasp of scripting and i know my way around the cs fairly well to boot
  8. the face a differetn colour from the body issue is due to a texture path error, from what ive seen i dont think many of the mods made to make npcs look less ugly usually changes textures, just head meshes (except for the body replacers, those do replace textures) but either way to fix that your going to need to find a texture of that race, find out the path the current texture is using and rename the new texture so that its the same as the miscoloured one then simply replace i had this same problem with my dark elfs for awhile, it made me sad
  9. wow, thats surprisingly simple thanks so much
  10. this is the right function to use when you want to make something happen when a player hits a certain key right? if so could someone link me an example of how this is used, or if its not could someone point me to the right function with this one i have had no luck, i know its an obse function and my cs does launch with obse so thats not the problem
  11. what it sounds like your saying is that you cant do it with the preset races but there is a way to somehow do it for custom races? if thats the case would it be feasible to make a new version of each race using this unknown system and then use a replacer to switch each npc to thier coresponding custom race?
  12. i was wondering if there where any mods or some more simple way to make each race have a different body make because im really tired of everytime i strip search a room full of bandits they all look exactly the same just with different heads/skin colour i tried doing it myself by copying and renaming files but before i even had a chance to start i remembered that everything shared common files in _male
