  1. hi there

i currently building a little overhaul from stuff i missed.

my tool is fnvedit and i want change the FX from concussion/crippled head, duration and and add more weakness or maybe paralyzed respective fatigue stats.

but all what i do nothing seems to work. i editing the concussion base effect direct no differnts... i editing the headcrippled effect no work ... only the sound file i was using for is working.

what i do wrong? should i use geck for this?

  2. hi

if u dont want use case, than u can "fix" the problem with fnvedit.

go look for the conflicting weapon, make an "override patch" and edit the "override patch" to get functional, not sure what u need to edit, but u will see the entries in red or yellow from the conflicting weapons betwen wmx and caliberx.... red entries are not bad anyways but that can cause crash if is wrong. u should use try and error to fix that, im not sure what u need to edit there.

"and if I uncheck WMX's Honest Hearts DLC" override the conflicting wmx honest hearts dlc entries with another one from wmx or caliber or patch or whateveridontknow".

"But when I go to open my gun case" before u uncheck wmx honest hearts dlc or override them, remove the weapon mods from the weapon. use this http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44515

that is the crashing count heree if i not wrong.. otherwise u should start a new game

here is a example wich entries u need to edit. are u choosing different weapon mods than take sure that u edit the STATS to (scrolldown in the right window) this are based from what u choose to "copy as override"

here is a example how to edit in FNVedit (is different but the way is the same)

  3. hi excheesecake...

u REALY need basic knowledge about installing mods...

i said before that is not a good idea "a bunch of mods installing" ithout testing, so i have try to help u 2-3-4 times? ...is not helpfull if u "bugfixing" wrong builds.

so u dont want realy help i think... because u didnt noticed any tips.

installing compatibly patches for eve wmx didnt fix the ctd problem i bet... ;)

i forced u again to fresh reinstall the game... and DONT add a bunch of mods without playing/testing.

  4. yes..

i use awop and pn and i have caliber installed to but that causes crashed, so i didnt use that.

well the most testing in first reason is "will the game start?".. when is start and u can load a game is ok. u didnt need test it complete but u know that the game will load.

    edit;

roger that :) and now play a few times and watch out for errors.

    hf

  5. jeah i mean only a mod and then test it... installing 100 mods without testing is not a good idea...

i forced u to deinstall all mods, better to clean install fnv. take sure u deleting the old data folder.

and than try a mod, beginn with AWOP or Project Nevada and than test it a hour. if that running ok than u can add more mods and testing it. if u encontered problems than its easy to fix that.

read install instructions from the mods!

btw CAliber is not working with Project nevade or Awop. that is one point more why u should add one bye one .. others i dont know.. sry

  6. hm u can try modfusion to maybe that will help u a little more...not sure.

i think u need a clean fresh install from fallout and add mods stepp bye stepp, if there are realy "so many errors" ....im not familiar with wmr-wmx but i think that is wrong installed here.. and some other mods.

pls answer my question..not realy helpfull if u not answer..

  7. merge some files is the last option here...

what is with ur FOMM ? problem solved?

have u installed all mods in a row?

fnvedit is a little "multitool"... u only need to run it and see what is messaging.

  8. u need to patch it compatible, not sure but there are mods that "overlaying" some things about that. maybe there are patches out here in nexus, i dont use fook go and look there for compatibly patches.

if there no compatibly patch out than u need to create an own patch.

are u familiar to FNVEdit? with this tool u can make an compatibly patch. search the wattz 1000 laser pistol in the list (its from fook, i believe). copy the entries in a new esp (rightclick - copy as override into - new file - name it.) look what is called in vanilla game (entries from falloutnv.esm, will show in the right window) u also can see what the wattz laser pistol named normaly and what mods are used there u can drag and drop "stats - weapon mods-textures with wmods" and so on. drag and drop what u need for the wattz laser pistol to the own "Override patch" u created. exit fnvedit, save and activated the own patch in ur modmanager. take sure that is loaded last. never edit the original plugins.

take sure u dont switch weapon mods in fnvedit, if u have a save game with different modded weapons will cause CTD.

i have a picture to see what i mean (its little different but the way is same)

  9. hm

try FNVedit or modfusion to see what is wrong/missing in the loadorder. and/or try BOSS to autosort.

btw there are many plugins loaded, maybe u need to merge some *.esp files. (some users have problems to start the game with 140+ plugins loaded)

  10. have same issues countered in AWOP areas not only but often.

but i think is not the Vram overflow, my target is the cpu, i run fnv on a intel 2 quad. and it since there fnv have problem with this.

i found an "quadcore fix" and edited my ini. that fix helped me a lot. crashes are gone so far. but sometimes i got freezed on loadingscreens or ctd like those in the AWOP area.

i can running hours over the wastelands ...no crash.

maybe the "quad core fix" can help you.

    http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_NV_Troubleshooting_guide

Open up the fallout.ini file in: Documents\My Games\Fallout New Vegas:

    Find the line: bUseThreadedAI=0

    Change it to: bUseThreadedAI=1

Add another line after it and insert: iNumHWThreads=2

This will prevent the game from using more than two cores. Multi-cores cause crashes in the Gamebyro Engine. If the game still crashes change to: iNumHWThreads=1

    edit:

and turn off AV for FNV

and btw i will look at my Vram ;) ..adn i have testet the Purge_Cell_Buffers mod but this mod is not compatible with awop .. got ctd on enter the civilian\living area in awop. i think ini change was a way better ;)

  11. normal does texture mods have no esp plugin files. in this case maybe u should have archiviinvalidation to switch on if is not on.

not sure but a fully fresh fallout nv installation will be better i think.

in case of loadorder ithink last is the best option

  12. hm it since u have installed the mods who changes the texture wrong

maybe it will be better if u installed FNV clean and add mod step bye step. and follow the installation discriptions. if u have questions to this just ask.
