btw switch into third person and click on the dragonborn, not on the ground sorry. Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, just wanted to add my experience... I wish this thread had a higher SEO... could have saved me a lot of grief.. I experienced this bug as well, while improving some armor (mod) I saw 0 armor rating, on further inspection ALL armors (owned, merchant or crafted, Original and Immersive Armors) had 0 armor. Shields strangely were unaffected. Loot and manual mod order didn't work. I disabled all my armor mods, which did not help. I also cross referenced all mods with TES5Edit which showed no conflicts. Even ran some armor and weapon patches from various corners of Nexus, as well as had steam verify files, and updated all unofficial patches... No dice. Using the console, typing "resurrect", and clicking on my character before hitting enter fixed everything. Instead of being happy to be back in business, I'm more upset the fix was that simple.... hope this helps the next poor soul.
