  1. Huh...I seem to have fixed it. I forgot to update my UFO when I bought the full DLC package and noticed when I checked LOOT that I didn't have the Dawnguard/Hearthfire files for UFO. Did that and now it's working again. Even though I've played without issue up to now. How strange.
  2. I did uninstall all the mods that I put in when the issue happened and I did roll back the save. I mentioned that previously. I'm also using Enhanced Camera (which works fine and always has) and if I alter the .ini to force first person regardless of triggers, it does stay in first person when changing a scene, BUT it does the whole...camera stuck to your head thing instead of the normal fixed EC camera. The stuck to the head camera gives me wicked nausea. Assuming there's somehow code floating somewhere causing this, is there anything I can alter in my ini or a mod I can use to counteract it? The "cleanest" option is obviously a brand new install, but omfg I am not reinstalling 102 mods and getting them to play nice all over again.
  3. OK, so, admittedly I use a metric shitton of mods, but I can't track down what may have caused this. Here's what's happening; I play in first person, but whenever I do anything that triggers a load screen, it switches to third person. Such as entering a shop, leaving a cave. I then have to manually switch back to first. Issue occurs on all characters, all saves. I've got all the DLCs, was running fine before installing a bed collision fix, a mod where you can pay off bandits with...services (don't judge me!), Spouses Enhanced, ApachiiSkyHair male standalone (I have had the other versions for a long time) and a Marcurio face mod. I installed them all with NMM. I also installed the official workshop in an attempt to change Marcurio's face myself, but after reading all the s*** that was involved, didn't even bother. After the issue started, I uninstalled and deleted all of these mods, then loaded a save from before I had them. STILL having the camera issue. I deleted my skyrim.ini and skyrimpref.ini. Didn't help. I tried the Dawnguard camera fix. Nada. Any idea how to fix this? Constantly having to change the camera back will pretty much render it unplayable for me. EDIT: Oddly seems to have fixed by updating my follower overhaul files.
  4. I mentioned this over on technical issues side but haven't gotten any reply and that may be because it's a mod issue. I love the Ungen Race but I'm having a bit of a problem...She is a sneaky little backstabbing thief and as such makes perfect sense to be House Hllaalu. Unfortunately the first quest is 'Disguise', which involves wearing a helmet to impersonate someone. The issue is that beast races can't use full-helms. Argonians and Khajiit do not even get offered this quest for that reason. Is there some way to work around this? A temporary toggle to get the NPC to consider me Argonian/Khajiit and skip this mission? A console command to give me the item she wants and/or complete the quest? A way to temporarily stick the helm on anyway regardless of my twitchy little snout sticking out of it? Anything? I really want to be Hllaalu with an Ungen!
  5. Problem fixed! For anyone else having issues, turn off shadows in Morrowind options!
  6. When downloading mods on the TES Nexus, it pops up an ad window that plays a commercial that then redirects to the download. Check to be sure firefox is not blocking the popup.
  7. I figured it would be better to bundle these together rather than make a separate post for each one. Too Dark: When I play Morrowind windowed, the gamma slider has no effect and the game is extremely dark. I'm all for immersion, but at night and in many interiors I literally can't see what's in front of me. Going full screen resolves this issue, but alt tabbing constantly causes stability problems. MGE Won't Fullscreen: Also, I can't fullscreen with MGE enabled. The screen just goes black. So in order to play, I have to get rid of MGE and go fullscreen. Otherwise everything is too dark to manage. Hllaalu With Beast Race: I play an Ungen, a custom rat race (heh, rat race..). She is a sneaky little backstabbing thief and as such makes perfect sense to be House Hllaalu. 8. I can confirm the above post. Had the exact same problem. The newer version of MGE crashed every time and the older version caused some unbelievable lag. Set morrowind.exe, MGE.exe and the autolauncher to run as administrator and the new MGE worked like a charm. HOWEVER, Balmora is a huge FPS hit on a good day. Try this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3875
  9. I've checked all the Vivec houses on TEX Nexus and Planet Elderscrolls to no avail =_= Pelegiad is not that convenient for me as pets do not transport with you when using a teleport. Unless there is some work around for that that I am unaware of.
  10. I'm using a compilation of various head packs and hair packs from numerous different modders. For some reason, most of the modded hair models (the best ones! Like Ren's) cause the game to become unplayable when switching to third person (tab). My FPS usually runs about 30-40 and when I go third person on a character using these hair packs, it drops to less than 1 FPS. Does anyone else have this problem and how can I fix it...? Some Specs: Morrowind GOTY edition, MGE, MCP, about 100 mods, no conflicts Windows 7 Athlon X2 dual core, 2.3 4 gig RAM DirectX11 GeForce 8400 GS (my better video card bit the dust)
  11. 'A Good Place To Stay' seems incompatible with Balmora Expanded due to it's location... I had it before and liked it, but I'd rather keep BE =\
  12. I currently am using the ridiculously awesome Ravenloft house mod (though I'm looking for one a bit less...garish) and while I love the design, it's missing various critters to sully the carpets! Since this house has no physical existence (it is accessed using a teleportation amulet) I'm having issues trying to figure out how to get pets into it. Any guidance would be appreciated.
  13. I started playing Morrowind back in 2002 when it first came out. I've played it off and on ever since. Unfortunately I've gone through about 4 computers in that time frame and lost most of my original mods. While this was often a blessing in disguise (no more buggy mods, updated versions!) there is one mod that was one of my favorite that I cannot for the life of me find. I believe it was in the foreign quarter of Vivec. Pardon my sketchy details as it's been well over 5 years! When you first entered the home, you were on the top of a set of stairs. Just below the stairs was an anvil for repairing. The foyer was large and open with stairs on both the left and right sides. Ahead of you from the entrance were two doors to the left and right, leading to an elongated living area with a fireplace, bed, wardrobe and some storage. I believe the stairs on either side lead to a dinning area with shelving on the far wall? If this is ringing any bells for anyone I would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction. If no one has any clue what I'm talking about, feel free to recommend me a house! I'm looking for something I can easy brings pets to (from Abigail's Pet Shop), so close to reasonably priced transport, not huge but not tiny. The ability to do some minor decorating of my own and not too dark or too bright.
  14. you can bind screenshots to another key (other than print screen) within the macro editor of MGE to save yourself the annoying error message. It was driving me bonkers.
  15. Same problem as the poster below. Except my game locks up in character creation.
  16. I cannot get this to work properly. At best, I get a registry error when trying to open MGE. After research it seems MGE is not compatible with the impulse version of the game due to the morrowind exe. Is there any way to get the proper exe and use this?
  17. ...there's a mod for skimpy bikinis for amazon curves. You men and your eye candy :P
  18. I'm aware. I nearly died. "I think you will need armor. How strong are your teeth?"
  19. lol, Awry...your comment made me chuckle ^^ I can only speak for myself, not all female gamers. And yes, I do think the vanilla sex scenes cater to both sexes equally. As far as things with female players in mind (I lawled at the male cage dancer bit), Alistair and his romance line is a rather good example. Women tend to be more interested in brain candy rather than eye candy. Snarky jokes, flirtation, etc. And lest someone think I'm bashing the boys, I'm sure a ton of guys (both gay and straight) would appreciate the same thing. Perhaps additional NPCs with similar dialogue options to the vanilla companions where your discussions not only gain their affections, but give you insights into their personalities. BioWare did a marvelous job at creating superficial bonds between the player and the NPCs and I know that female players (and a large number of male players) would appreciate the same effort and ingenuity put into modded NPCs. It's rather difficult to describe exactly what I personally am looking for, but I essentially want a fully enjoyable experience that engages me mentally and emotionally. Not just another mod with boobies or gratuitous sex sans a back story. I have a number of scenarios in mind, but sadly, I lack the skills to create mods.
  20. They do indeed take a lot more time. But in my opinion, do we really need 60 different nude body meshes..? 100 different Morrigan face morphs..? I'm really pleased with the work that went into mods like Realistic Bodies, Natural bodies, Pineapple's Tints, More Hairstyles, etc...but once that's done successfully, why not move on to mods that allow the player to enjoy fuller customization and the game as a whole? There are so many possibilities for new story arcs and there have been a few really good mods and campaigns that utilized the modding ability of the game. I'd just like to see more of these rich stories and characters. With at least a few points with female players in mind. I also poke my head in on the BioWare forums every now and then, but am not 'active'. I'll have to poke around and see if there are people looking for voices.
  21. Yes, most of the appearance mods are for female characters. NOT female players. From what I've seen, most male players play female avatars. Those mods are made primarily with male players in mind. There are so many nude body mods for female characters because...well...men like to look at nude women :P And I'm not posting this about Oblivion. I've also seen a number of mods with nude 'cage dancers' and random new sex partners for males. And head morphs for existing characters are completely useless to me. I really don't get the point. I'll stick to how BioWare designed the characters. As far as voice acting, I never suggested that modders take any ol' bum off the street and shove a mic in their face. In fact, Drah and I volunteered because we HAVE experience. As mods and modders improve I'm sure the bulk of the content will continue to be geared toward the male audience. No need to get your knickers in a twist about the possibility of there being mods for female players before the guys. I'm just trying to throw the suggestion out there.
  22. ...I second the proposition for half naked strutting man flesh. Regardless of how impractical it may be for legitimate armor. ;D I suppose it could work for women as well...topless fighting for all!
  23. I've always felt that the run animation gave a properly 'heavy' feel to a fully armored character, but you made me look closer and no it's bothering me. Thanks a lot! XP Actually, back in the day there was an Oblivion mod that changed the way females walked (gave 'em a bit more swish in the backside) so I suppose it's entirely possible. Ooh..can we have some female swish too? XD
  24. Well, aren't we special! I have no such high-techy recording device. But I have software to cancel out a lot of problematic fuzz. Side note; I wonder how much of a pain it is to do lip syncing in DA. I'm seriously getting curious and wanting to frustrate myself to no end on the modding possibilities...The more I think about it...gesticulations, expressions, lip syncing...yea, glad I can't mod. lol Ooh, I wonder if it would be possible to mod in a romance line with Sandal. If only for the creepy wtf factor XD "ENCHANTMENT!"
