TimeScale mod
YeOldeNerevarine replied to matrixmonster's topic in Kingdom Come: Deliverance's KCD1 Discussion
I would love a slower timescale as well, 1:1 would be great of course. With the days going by so fast I always feel pressured to do quests so they don't fail on me due to me dallying around, hunting, enjoying the scenery etc. But if memory serves me right, I'ver neve seen a timescale mod for any game ever that came without issues ranging from inconvenient to gamebreaking. My guess is it'd be a major piece of work to make sure nothing gets screwed up, with all the timers for spoiling food and quests that rely on you and/or NPCs to be at specific locations at specific times... I hope I'm wrong though. -
Wow, 23 reinstalls should pretty much exclude the possibility that something went wrong during the installation... Seriously, I know it can be a pain in the rear to get MW working with the MGE - but it's worth it, trust me  Judging from the info you provided I sadly wouldn't know what the problem is... You CAN use the MGE without Bloodmoon, as far as I know... I'd have a look at this site: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/morrgraphext/index.php?title=TOC and follow the instructions and hints carefully. Or look up the official Bethesda forum... Sorry for pointing out the obvious, but it helped me, too

Nice! Vurt's mods are awesome. They'll definitely have a place in the upcoming graphics section of my list. Damn right that's nice, and that's at "only" a visual range of 3 of distant Land (You were totally right, preserves the original feeling and suffices visually without kiling my framerate  ) and without any other (visual) mods than Vurt's. Like i said, i was astonished when i got there... I remember Vanilla-Solstheim being rather... "Dull", with the five trees strewn all over the island and no mentionable brushes :P And now... Hot damn, sadly my character is too weak to plunge into this nordic madness by now  But not for long...

As for shaders that combine both HDR and Bloom, I don't know. I put them last. Thank you for the quick reply, it really helped and i almost feel a little dumb for not having found that on my own :pinch: This is some pretty viable info, i had some other configs crammed together that didn't do no good. Finally i can use the SSAO properly, even in exteriors (though i read you shouldn't, because of the alpha-maps of the plants could cause conflicts)... Well it works fine for me, and despite the noticeable drop in fps it looks a whole lot "deeper". So, thanks again, you've been extremely helpful! May your answers to my noobish questions help others to enjoy "Morrowind 2010" BTW... I nearly lost it when i saw Solstheim after all the mods i installed! Damn, it's amazing what the community did/does to my favourite game :woot:

http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/morrgraphext/index.php?title=TOC That's a good link for roughly getting into MGE and its functions. But I've found myself constantly playing around with the shader config since i'm using MGE... There definitely are some oddities that can scare you away from experimenting. To provide an example, these are the shaders i currently use, in that order: sunshaft_v003cloud __HDRbloom knx_SSAO_v09 knx_DOF_v12_pk When i first used the sunshaft-shader, i had it instantly working correctly (i.e. reacting to clouds). By then, i was using a differnt bloom-shader that seemed to interfere with the SSAO - or so i thought. I then found out that I had to load the SSAO BEFORE the DoF, otherwise i had strange fragments where both should have appeared together (the SSAO-effect was not "DoF-ed" and appeared as solid black spots instead)... Now that i got that to work, the sunshafts won't react to clouds any longer, and it seems to CTD more frequently  To cut a long story short, would it be possible if some of you who have made similar experiences point out some tips regarding the load-order of shaders? Some "do's-and-dont's" would be quite helpful, though i know it's hard to give any advice considering everyone has different hardware... BTW, nice thread you got there, Povuholo  Good to see it's open to the public now!

YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING!!!
YeOldeNerevarine replied to YeOldeNerevarine's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
REJOICE!!! Instead of raging in our beatiful Nexus, i should've opened my blighted eyes and searched more thorougly. Actually, there is a little tool that translates mods into german. Nothing big, and it probably won't work with mods that integrate heavy scripts - those you'll still have to change for yourselves, like dialogue - but at least i can now use great mods like Vurt's Overhauls. I don't know if it's of any use to anybody, but i presume there are still some morrowind-fans from germany (or other german-speaking countries) who might appreciate to know about the possibility to get all the great mods to work. There also is a French version of this Translator out there! Lesson learned, Research before you Rage it is... Now, off to soak in the view and feel of my new morrowind :-) -
Greetings, fellow Morrowind enthusiasts. Excuse my capslocky outcry in this topic's title, but right now, i'm in rage-mode. Well, a mixture of rage and sorrow, to be precise. Let me sing you my song of woe... So i decided to play morrowind again, after about a year, last having played it on the xbox with only Bloodmoon and Tribunal. I spent literally hundreds of hours on this game, first on PC without any addons, then paused a while and got myself the xbox-GOTY-edition, on which i spent countless hours again. Being that morrowind is one of my favourite games of all time, i recently grabbed the GOTY for PC, and went looking for some mods to further enhance this already pretty stunning gaming experience. I was struck by what the community managed to create, the sheer beauty of some mods and overhauls was just unbelievable! (Thanks again to Povuholo who pointed out a few really great mods to me) I spent many hours reading up and downloading on how to install all those great mods and get to work what i thought would be the greatest experience since i booted up morrowind for the very first time back in 2003... Everything seemed peachy, i was set up and good to go! I started installing... And had to realise that, owning the german version, NEARLY NONE OF THE MODS would work for me. Vurts astonishing work - Nope, Better sounds - uh uh... Damn, i never had that happen! :wallbash: Stupid german GOTY-edition, may it forever burn in an ashland lava pit! :verymad: Sorry for ranting, most of you probably don't give a rat's behind  I just felt like venting off some steam and probably get a pat on the head to cheer me up. I was so looking forward to playing that game again seriously overhauled... :pinch: But it would've been nice to know that all the good mods are not for germans. Oh well, the german voiceover sucks big time anyway, so i'll probably get me an english GOTY now... Sorry for the rant.

3rd person animations in 1st person view
YeOldeNerevarine replied to YeOldeNerevarine's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Wow, someone DOES seem to care ;-) I tried PM'ing the original Author of the mod for Oblivion, to no avail - possibly he ain't around anymore. So, if nobody's up to the challenge or simply not interested, i guess i'll have to try experimenting with the GECK myself, most likely screwing up my game again in the process :-P Damn... There's so many nude models and whatnot, hard to believe people prefer *censored*ing off to the post-apocalypse over something probably improving overall athmosphere. Oh well... Back to the drawing board. -
Greetings, I'd like to ask this vibrant and aspiring collective of talented Fallout-Modders a question. When i last played through Oblivion, i've been using a mod which i can not imagine playing without ever again, the mod lending it's name to the title of this request. See http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18617 for reference, please. I would like to know if it was possible to create something similar for Fallout 3, hoping that it might profit from this more "realistic" feeling the altered animations provided for oblivion. After searching the FO3Nexus thorougly, i couldn't find anything similar... And the perspective just feels kinda incorrect as it is in 1st person. Thanks in advance to anyone looking into this matter.

how many people are still playing morrowind?
YeOldeNerevarine replied to JazzBlack's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
I perfectly agree with every of the above statements considering Morrowind to possibly still be the best RPG i enjoyed for the longest time. I don't have to tell anybody who played both Morrowind and Oblivion (and possibly some/all of their predecessors) that Morrowind was WAY more "epic". For it's days, it had some eye-candy too. But it didn't solely rely on it! It had so much more... Lore, spears, balancing, and in general had more (and more interesting) quests. Ah, back in the days... I think i'll install it right away and try to improve the experience with some of the aforementioned mods! Thank you all for not denying Morrowinds greatness  -
The Silencer's Armor from Crusader: No Remorse
YeOldeNerevarine replied to YeOldeNerevarine's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Just now i saw, the Crusader's even got his Pipboy on the right arm in the pic  Like he knew he'd become a Fallout-Mod  I can upp more pics, if anyone needs them - ingame won't help much and Fraps-Shots of the videos are extremely pixelated, but i'll try my best to help if i can! -
Hi there Community, I just recently found that Crusader: No Regret is officially downloadable as Freeware. Nostalgic as I am, i gave it a try again after so many years. It's still a fun game (if you consider it fun to exterminate your virtual enemies the most horrific way possible, which I believe most of the people enjoying Fallout 3 do  ) It came to my mind that the Silencer, Protagonist of the Crusader-Games, in fact was one of the first real badass characters i got to play. His Armor, given to him by the very same evil Consortium that later betrays him, served him well throughout his fight. It may not be as stylish as most Armor-mods you see ou there for Fallout 3... And I know it'd still be a great deal of work. But if someone likes the idea and feels up to the challenge, I think you would be doing a lot of those video-game-oldtimers out there a big favor :thanks: BTW, sorry if something similar has already been made. I looked it up but could not seem to find anything. Sadly my skill with the GECK won't suffice to accomplish this, since I dont just aim for a red Power Armor  Thats what the Dude looks like:

Beautify Nadine (Point Lookout)
YeOldeNerevarine replied to DainBramaged01's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Actually, someone already bothered to beautify all of the wastelanders, including Nadine, her mom and so many more. Look up Project Beauty HD on the Nexus: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6341 It's worth it, double-fine mod!
