  1. I only checked the description and forum tabs on a few of the mods and didn't see any instructions. I'll take a closer look at more mod pages when I get home. Thanks for the info. I mostly just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something within Vortex.
  2. "Many of the games have their own game-specific mod managers" Ok, that makes more sense. I think I read that ModOrganizer started out as a Skyrim specific mod manager. But I just went through all the available files for the game on this site and didn't see anything that looked like a System Shock custom mod manager. So I'm still a bit confused as to how people are using the mods. "Other games require their mods to be manually installed and need the user to make changes by hand to make them work." So I'm assuming that's the answer, I just don't know where to look for the documentation for how to do this.
  3. Ok, but why would there be mods on this site for the game if the game isn't supported? How are those mod files used?
  4. Last time I used this site was years ago and Nexus Mod Manager was still around and it was a breeze to use. Vortex has been annoying, to say the least. I'm playing System Shock Remake and want to mod it to make some aspects of the gameplay less tedious. I can find the mod section for that game on this site and it has a bunch of useful mods. https://www.nexusmods.com/systemshock2023 When I open Vortex and go to the "Games" section, System Shock is nowhere to be found in the list of games I can select to manage. There also appears to be no way to manually add the game. The internet suggested I use ModOrganizer2 instead, which at least gives me the ability to navigate to the game folder, but it says it can't find any game executable in the folder, despite it definitely being there. What gives? If the mods are on this very site, why can't I add the game to start using the mods?
