  1. I saw another thread on changing difficulty but what I want is quite a bit different: I want to totally remove the simple slider and have something like this(Mount and Blade: Warband): http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/5293/57707811.jpg Obviously most of those settings don't comply with this game in any way, but I'm guessing someone can find the file that changes difficulties and use those parameters. Some things I would suggest to put in that isn't necessarily part of the current difficulty slider: Damage to enemy multiplier: Damage to friendly multiplier: Damage to self multiplier: magicka multiplier(all): physical multiplier(all): I really liked finding *my* specific difficulty that I really enjoyed playing through. If i remember right the last time I played a few hundred days of Warband I chose to have an extremely difficult campaign AI with a normal combat AI(map movement/economy VS during-battle ai) and it was a blast. Another time I had played that game I went for an incredibly easy campaign AI but was hindered because I had combat AI at the top with other things forcing me to really choose my battles. It gives a bit more freedom of making the game your own experience, which seems to be popular among us Skyrim players.
  2. These three are pretty cool: http://zombietools.net/images/weapons/backwoods-bone-machete-600-left.jpg http://zombietools.net/images/weapons/zombie-tools-urban-bone-machete-600.jpg http://zombietools.net/images/weapons/rough_and_ready_new_600.jpg But any of their blades look pretty awesome and could 'fit' into Skyrim one way or another. http://zombietools.net/tools/ (current) http://zombietools.net/tools_archive/ (discontinued) Quick edit: I really like the idea of bone/ivory colored blades in Skyrim. If not any of these, I suggest(see: hope) playing around with retexturing other weapons you make to see if they fit that color scheme.
  3. Tried the enbdev patch, no luck. i still get an eternal preparing to launch sitting there. Thats not a problem with Skyrim-thats totally a steam issue. To this day I can't play 3(or more) games in my list on this computer because of that problem(went through over a dozen ticket responses with Steam Support). Look up 'game not available on steam' and welcome to a nightmare. Sad day when someone like me who has made a stance not to pirate has to for games i've payed for(which in the end may be the solution for skyrim). **EDIT** Tried the offline mode a little bit earlier, it still has the same problem. *edit2* After restarting my computer and loading steam directly into offline mode, I got in. Good luck to those that are in my previous position, it seems theres many different problems that are causing the same issue.
  4. For the last half hour I've been trying fixes suggested in these forums and others, but I noticed every one of them deal with people getting a loop at the launcher. My problem is I can't get to the launcher. This problem cropped up some time today as I was playing this morning. Tried validation, checked/unchecked admin access, and just deleted all mod files i had running then validated again. I saw an unpatched exe on skyrimnexus earlier but I can't find it anymore(assuming it may have been deleted?) there or on other sites(mostly people suggesting to go find it). Anyone have anything else to suggest? I'd also like to see that SOMEONE has the same problem of not being able to get to the launcher even.
  5. Thank you to each Post! I've been reading the detailed description of OOO and may decide to change my mind by the end of reading it. I like the sound of many changes and theres only been a few that i wouldn't necessarily want to be changed so far. I'd type each one out but I'm going to be busy for the next week(i probably won't even play oblivion until around Christmas) so i'll hold off on typin em out  I was afraid of the bben46. Oh well, in the end it looks like it will be well worth it. Thanks for the link-i saw it mentioned somewhere before and was going to go dig it out without knowing the name at all =)
  6. At the end of this post i'll throw a link to a picture of the bookmarked addons i intend to load into Oblivion when i get it in the next couple of weeks. Reading a lot up on the mods and mods in general i notice that there are some mods that you really have to load before others. Is there a method to the madness, or do i have to research every single one? I've decided against using any of the major major additions/changes except for a monster pack(aka i'm not going with OOO or others like it) until way down the road when i'm a veteran at playing and feel a bit bored. I don't expect someone to look through and list each one in order for me, but if you notice a couple mods in there that i absolutely have to load before another, please tell  Hope i'm in the right forum, seems best for it even though theres no trouble yet :thanks: http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/4137/fo...livmodscopy.jpg (yes, i know i double bookmarked one of them)
