Never mind; it was DIS_RealisticArmor.esp causing the problem

Title says it all, really. Iron weapons are invisible in-game, and I have no idea why. I tried disabling all my mods, to no avail; I tried getting a clean reinstallation of Skyrim, and whilst that fixed the issue, it's returned now I've enabled those mods again. (EDIT: DIS_RealisticArmor.esp was the culprit!)

i have no idea how this isn't a thing already. distant water looks horrendous in skyrim; there must be a way to make it look better

are there any mods to redo these ugly coals/ashes I keep finding in so many places? I've tried KD's fireplace mod, and SMIM, but to no avail

None of the mods seem to be causing the problem, will try updating ENB in a bit

Sadly none of this made any difference; the only thing that helped (quite significantly actually) was changing the load order a few posts ago. That said, I certainly appreciate all your help

I've been using RealVision ever since I started modding Skyrim, last time I updated it (manually, not sure if it's automatic via NMM) was about 2 - 3 months ago. I've never heard of Anisotropic Filtering causing problems but I'll try disabling that and the mods you mentioned. Also, I don't use any of the official DLC, not even the HD textures (that's what mods are for)

I've moved the Unofficial Patch under Update.esm but that didn't help either

I did try LOOT but the order it gave me was completely different to the sticky thread about load orders, and didn't change anything

This seemed to work until I tried it in the same area about 25 minutes later and got another ILS. I've noticed the chance of it happening seems to increase the longer I keep the game running
