The grenade slot, whether you use grenades or not, is always there. Why not have the very best one equipped? What is the best vanilla grenade? What has the biggest blast radius? What does the most damage in the blast zone? Does it throw loose objects around or does it not? How long is the fuse time, and how is that calculated? How rare is it? What perks affect it, and what do the perks do for it? Does it have bonus damage against certain enemies? "Vanilla" Grenade stats list(where i could find them on the wiki): Baseball: d:101, r:93, w:1, "Silent" until explosion Cryo: d:101, r:93, w: 0.5, Chance to slow Frag: d:151, r:93, w:0.5, no bonus effect Hal Gas: d:1, r:93, w:1, "enrages" enemies, very limited number Inst Emp: d:150energy, r:93, w:0.5, Robot only, damage over time effect Molotov: d51, r:93, w:0.5, Applies "burn" Nuka: d:301+100rad, r:93, w:0.5, irradiates area Plasma: d:150+150 energy , r:93 , w:0.5 , energy damage static (not affected by perks) Pulse: d:150 energy, r:93, w:0.5, No bonus effect, no extra damage to bots as is often cited So to me, at least on paper, plasma seems the best raw damage wise, except for maybe nuka, which has radiation damage which would theoretically heal muties and not affect robots. But how do the perk calculations play out? What about magazines? Are there hidden stats that do something not listed? Some grenades throw loose objects around the room, which dont? Is range the only factor in throwing distance, or is there something else that would affect throwing one farther?

Is there a way to make all the settlers who appear at the slog ghoul only Right now im sending all non-ghouls to other places and vice versa I know the whole point of the slog is they dont discriminate, but it seems like the only place that is a safe space for ghouls shouldnt be so full of non-ghouls thats theres no place for ghouls. You wouldnt allow a man into a battered womens shelter, same thought with the slog. Until this is a thing, im going to keep micromanaging. I just wish I didnt have to

Theres already a mod that allows every named character in the game to become a companion. I would bet theres a mod to make them settlers too

Yeah, the search function is broken, but its not nexus's fault It comes from the fact that it checks the words used by the mod author. So if the author makes a "clever" title like this one instead of a no-nonsense title, then it doesnt really show up in the search function In short, its because mod authors want to have catchy clever titles which they think will get them more views, but they just lose all their views because now no one ever finds them in the search engine

I wanted one where i would tell the railroad that now i control the institute, boom, no more mistreated synths None of them allow me to keep the BOS around. Which i want to, i like their ship, its one of the few "unique" locations in the game. Maybe id somehow take over them too, and we would agree synths are actually a good thing? Idk, just something other than them dying

I have to have so many conversations a million times because of stupid animations causing npc's to keep walking around, breaking conversation. I literally just spent 35 minutes trying to get through a two option conversation because the NPC wouldnt f*#@ing sit still Can someone write a script that just locks them in place when i talk to them? Thats probably a super hard thing to script, but its a requirement if i am to continue doing quests and not punch a hole through my monitor

I asked for a mod with more buddy's so i could turn one in while keeping him for myself, no one cared But they did point to a mod where buddy's body would be a remodeled protectotron head for automatron. It wasnt what i wanted, so i never downloaded, but you could look into it and see if its what you want Go to my content, look for the thread i started called "More Buddy's"

Yep, i understood 0% of that truly. I think i got what you mean though. And im just curious how you got that specific dialog? Is there a voice library that modders use or something? Honestly, I REALLY like the female "polite", if you didnt change it even one bit i would think it was perfect, and to my knowledge most modders play female characters not male (i usually play male, this is my first female fallout character ever, i always used to have a hard time finding male related mods), so i would put priority on that. Also, dont stress to much on the dialogue, im sure nobody would mind if it didnt even have voiced lines, seems like everyone is more concerned with just sending preston to do the radiant quests hes always annoying people with. But i wont stop you, you are doing great work. I will definetely be playing female from now on in the future. The dialog in game is so much better, and finding mods is soooo easy when your character is female. Nobody really makes male related mods as much as female

is there a m2 mod variant with a realistic weight? The weight of this "hmg" is 30lbs, which just isnt realistic. For christ sakes, the ammo that goes into it is heavier than that without the weapon at all..... You are about as rude as they get aren't you? Well if it bothers you that much, you can use FO4Edit to adjust the Weight and name as you please. Im not a modder, theres nothing rude about wanting realism (although i was rude when i called op wrong originally, but he was literally wrong, and lying for the sake of being nice is stupid), and i have never once opened fo4edit, i dont even really know what it is let alone how to use it. If its so f***ing easy, how is it so much work for me to ask someone who knows what they are doing to edit it, but OP asking exactly the same thing about reducing the assualt rifles weight isnt equally as unreasonable? In short, f*** off snowflake, i give 0 shits about your opinion. Be right or be gone, i have no respect for people who are wrong for the sake of being nice. And even if i cared what other people think, you wouldnt be one of them And for the record, the only "heavy machine gun" on record even close to said weights is the mg42, and its heavily debated in the gun community which definition of hmg is correct because of exactly this gun, 75ish% of the community think it should be an lmg, and 25ish think it should be an mmg or hmg. And even then, it weights 25 lbs UNLOADED, not 13lbs loaded. So OP's claim that the weapon weight of the AR is unrealistic is the most unrealistic thing about guns ive ever seen. But aside from that one heavily debated gun, there is not a single "hmg" in existence that weighs less than 120 lbs. The m2 browning is literally the lightest of them at 126lbs loaded. So you defending OP when im calling him arrogant makes you look stupid If you're not a modder why are you worried about the weight of a weapon added by a mod? Also if you really want realism you shouldn't be playing Fallout 4. But in all seriousness, you should learn to use FO4Edit. Its an amazing tool and you don't need to be a Mod Author to use it. It took me literally less than 5 minutes to make my own plugin that converts the Heavy Machine Gun's weight to its 83lbs real world counter part. I even renamed M2 Browning. I could have shared it, but since you're so rude I'm not going to. I could have even just renamed it to Light Machine Gun. Either way, good day sir. I use mods, i just dont make them. If you have a simple guide on fo4edit, ill learn to use it. But i dont actually care, because i dont care to change stupid little things like weights for the most part, especially if its going to add one more level of edits to my game that might cause comparability issues. My character is overpowered AF, and once i completed every quest the first time, i starting using console commands. Not really a point to caring about gun weights when my carry weight is 400,000 lbs. I'm just being rude because OP is claiming "ITS SO UNREALISTIC!(too heavy)" When in reality it isnt "realistic" enough. If he wants to say its as heavy as an HMG, he should know that every HMG in the world weighs more than 130lbs, not 13 lbs. Hes arrogant literally by a factor of ten.

Buildable caves like those of previous fallout games

We arent being tense, we are just confused There you go, thats all the qualification we need. You just want a wall reskin that looks like rock/cave/dirt/ect. Thats WAYYYY easier than what i thought you wanted. You could definitely do it yourself if you want, but I'm sure someone would be happy to do it for you, all it is is recoloring an existing mesh. Jkruse can help, he was the one who knew what you wanted from the getgo, i was wrong -
Love the female polite response, but i have the same problem with the agressive one as i had for the first set of male you posted. Theres a huge disparity between the tone of the first sentence and the second, it sounds unnatural. Are you cutting soundbytes to build these? If theres not way to fix the tone, the "polite" should be telling preston to do it himself (exactly as is), and the "agressive" should drop the "do it yourself" line and just be you flat out refusing to even tell him to go do it. its a lot less noticeable on the new male agressive, but its still there. But its more than publish worthy, the disparity in the male voice could be attributed to a bad temper amping up, it doesnt sound like two seperate things recorded two days apart. But no matter what, these are awesome, and id love to know how you are making these. Although i dont mod, so its not an area i will understand any technical mumbo

wel So, no one is 100% sure what hes actually asking for? Because what you think he wants is basically just retextured wall peices, and what i think he wants is an entirely new game mechanic. Sounds like OP needs to get his s*** together and clarify what he wants before anyone tries to take up building a mod for him. Considering the sources he referenced, the mod "Build your own vault" and the screenshot of a cave using tiles from Fallout 3 or NV, I think he meant tiles Well, we shouldnt have to play a guessing game about it. Not posting vague or confusing topics is literally in the stickied "dont bump" list of rules. So i say we let this thread die for exactly that reason until OP clarifies what he wants -
While testing mods i noticed something. Companions will climb into and walk around in power armor without fusion cores (may be a companion infinite ammo and power armor mod problem) which im totally fine with. Your active companion will stay in said power armor forever Heres the problem. If you get a different companion, and send the old one to a settlement, they will randomly abandon it within like 3 minutes of arrival. I even had nick abandon the armor on the way to spectacle island. i search the entire island, no sign of the armor, he ditched a full suit of max upgraded x01 who f*#@ing knows where in the wasteland. Some stupid level 3 raider is probably walking around beating glowing deathclaws to death in it by now. This is what i want a patch for, i want to have a settlement of OP companions strutting around in power armor. Obviously this isnt an option if they abandon the power armor in a ditch the minute im not monitoring them. Also, if its not a lot of extra work, fix the command pathfinding. If you order a companion to get into power armor from any direction other than directly behind it, they run into the front of it for like 5 minutes before the thing pops up saying its impossible to reach. Like they are expecting to phase into it or something. They lose the ability to walk around objects or turn corners, anything thats not a perfectly straight line is suddenly impossible on an unrelated note, my dogmeat is incapable of fetching things. I can drop a million fetchable items in a circle around him, literally burying him under a pile of chems, ammo, guns, ect. Fetch function still says he didnt find anything

I want to play an institute run, but can someone point me to a mod that goes Join the institute>broker peace with the railroad and minutemen>Pacify brotherhood (or massacre them, idgaf as long as i can keep danse and not blow up the blimp) Im a collector, so i absolutely need to keep and reach max affinity with all companions. And i built my spectacle island base with "views" of the blimp, so i dont want it blown out of the sky. If you get put in charge of the institute, why cant i just tell the railroad ill make sure synths are treated well from now on and stop kidnapping commonwealth citizens and replacing them with synths. I mean, i f***ing own the institute, ill do whatever i want. Not to mention i can beat a legendary glowing deathclaw to death with my bare hands, ill just kill any institute people who disagree with my new policies. f*** you gunna do about the guy who can murder you without trying, who goes invisible when he bends over and wears full upgraded x01 power armor just for giggles? Pretty sure if i say jump, the institute should ask how high Anyway, i seriously doubt this mod doesnt exist. Can someone point me to said mod or combination of mods? Edit: i realized my whole post is spoilers, so i just deleted the arbitrary spoiler warning. Also, the game is decently old, if you are browsing the mod forums but still dont know the ending to the game, you are just dumb or illiterate, i have no idea how you would manage that if you werent.
