I'm on the Skyrim Nexus, and using the Opera browser if that has anything to do with it. Now for my issue:
So I get on today to do my usual checking, and I first see a new mod in the hot files (Equipment Degradation) and I click it. Then this endorsement reminder box pops up. I was a little confused because I could have sworn I had endorsement reminders turned off. So on my way to my user area it pops up again. From there I go into my settings and I can see that I have it set to never remind me. I save my settings anyways. I click back on the tab for the mod and then download it. It's there too on the download page. So I'm going into my tracked files next and then it pops up there too. I click out of it, and then go to iNeed, which had an update (that I wasn't notified of). It's there too. After getting the file I clicked onto the home page from the Nexusmods link at the top. It's there too. So yeah I'm really hoping this stalking thing is like a bug, cause I like to endorse them at my own pace, plus endorsements aren't a huge deal for me anyways.
If this is intentional (even though I have reminders set to never) could the frequency of this thing popping up be turned down? I think it was fine on the download page, maybe even the tracking center, but popping up on me on mod pages, or the home page just seems a bit intrusive.

Well load it up and then on the side of the object window go under items, and then weapons, and then find where the weapon's form is. Then you click it and there should be a little box with the word damage next to it. This is what you want to change. Then after changing the number just hit okay at the bottom. It's really simple. I suggest looking at the Creation Kit tutorials too. They probably have a better explanation then mine.

Thank you for all that stuff you are willing to implement to make the nexus even safer.

I hope you do realize there are people born after that year that get that.

I never would have seen that coming. That's something scary, but I'm really glad that it was dealt with though.

Edit: So fixed the headphone issue. But I guess that honestly doesn't matter because its getting returned now. After trying the suggestions from customer service (they responded to me a few days ago) and they did not work, nor on another different computer (my mother's), we figured its defective. If there's any in stock then we might get another, but if not we'll just get something else similar at the store.
Original Post: Specifically a SIIG USB SoundWave 7.1. I mainly got it because I need an external headphone jack since there's no way I can get my current one fixed (which would require replacing the motherboard) because I can't afford it. When I plug it in the little blue light comes on, and the Windows driver installs, but the disc that comes with it (for the software) does not recognize it being plugged in and always gives me an error (saying "Please plug in USB Audio Device device"). Same for the downloaded version of the software off their website. Here's an image of the issue.

Another issue is that the main reason I got it for doesn't work either. I cannot hear a single thing when I plug my headphones into it, and the volume is not muted or low.
Definitely know its not my USB ports. I'm thinking of returning it because its not working. I actually contacted their email customer support on Saturday, and got an email saying there was a ticket made, but I have not since gotten a response yet.
So is this just a defective product that I should return, or is this thing just not compatible with my computer?
I would think my computer meets the system requirements, but I'll post my Dxdiag down in spoilers below.

Ah well then if you did make it with people downloading it (endorsements, or even the hot files) in mind you can be disappointed by setting yourself up with expectations that might not be met (even if you did mod for yourself first). All I can say then is good luck, and remember that it will grow in time.
-
Are we talking about endorsements here or downloads? Most people usually just download and just try it or play with it. Not everyone does endorse things. Other then that I don't think it can really be helped. Some mods can branch out to a bunch of different people's needs and tastes. Some mods are more specific so there may only be a few that might want that sort of thing.
Also some mods might need time to grow (well the download/endorsement thing). I know some of mine took a long time to grow, and looking back on it now its still a pleasant surprise. Though it seems you are satisfied with your work. I think that's the most important part of making mods. In other words as long as you are pleased with your work, then I think that's all that should mainly matter. Anything from there is a nice surprise/bonus.
But I did go and look at your mod that you were mentioning because my curiosity did get the best of me, and while I don't play Redguards, just going off the screenshots I can tell a lot of thought went into designing it. It's definitely unique when compared to other mods I've seen (even my own).
-
Next time avoid using console commands (especially placeatme which can cause bloat in your save) and just reload if she dies. Chances are something broke from using all of those. You're better off starting a new game, or reloading an older save with her still alive. Or reloading an older save before you used all those and just go with another follower instead.
-
I would suggest using statics instead of items, if you just want to place it there and have it look nice. What I usually do is take the mesh I want (after extracting it from the bsa), and open it up into nifskope and open bhkCollisionObject and click on bhkRigidBody and scroll down to motion system and quality type. I set those as MO_SYS_FIXED and MO_QUAL_FIXED. Then I save the mesh under a new name (this is a must or it will break the regular mesh in game), and create a new static for it. That's just how I go about with this issue for my house mods though.
-
So for once I wanted to play without shields (or magic) and just go with a sword in the right hand, and I noticed hitting isn't as responsive, and when it is, its usually just a power attack for some reason. Is this a vanilla bug or a mod induced thing? It's really annoying, because I really don't want to use anything except a sword (and light armor, and a few other non combat skills) this time around, but this is making it ridiculous to fight anything.
And second issue I've been having is that any time I'm trying to kill something on horseback, my character will just sheathe their sword out of nowhere. It's really annoying.

That's some weird bug. Not sure if that's more weirder then the twitchy leg in water thing though, but maybe?
-
I only use it when testing mods I make or if I need to take pictures of something (tm and tc). Outside of that I never use it. Though way back in the past I did use it to create crazy battles between my character and everything I threw at them (all dragon priests, alduin and other dragons, etc).
-
I know the troll spawns at higher levels, but since most people tend to clear Bleak Falls Barrow out early on, the troll never spawns, and instead a draugr of some type does. I don't recall Bleak Falls Barrow ever re-spawing either. Don't know what to say about the body though, as I don't use that mod.
-
Do you have any armor on? Do you have perks for any armor skills? Or are you playing a mage? Do you have the proper perks for alteration then and the appropriate spells? Also health is another thing. If you have low health then that might also be why (as in your total health, try some fortify health if you need to). Also what difficulty? Lastly any mods that have possibly changed him in any way?
-
Sounds like you need to navmesh the tower that you're putting the npc on. If you place them on something that has no navmesh then they'll "jump" to the closest thing that has it.
-
That may work, or at least to some degree, since once I make him a vampire I plan to keep him one. Still would give me a reason to go with the Dawnguard in that case then, and I honestly prefer that side for some reason even though I do like some of the vampire things like the jewelry and the blood potions. Suppose a mod or two more wouldn't hurt for those things if I go this way.
-
So I want to play a vampire this time, but wasn't sure how I want to do Dawnguard. Or course naturally a vampire should go with the Volkihar, but I don't really care for the vampire lord form that gets forced on you when you join. Of course one would think that means the Dawnguard side of things is out, but there's that one mod that lets vampires in, so there is that side available then, even if it wouldn't make much sense to play a vampire hunting vampires (unless there is, but I don't know of any reason).
If I were to go with the Volkihar side would I be able to play through without the Vampire Lord power? Would I be able to safely remove it after the little tutorial thing with Harkon (through that player.removespell command)?
Or would I be better off just grabbing a few mods to make up for the perks (the vampire jewelry, a bone horse like Arvak, etc) and just be a normal vampire and ignore the quest line altogether?
-
Alright thanks I'll give that a try.
Edit: It worked. Thanks again.
-
I think I tried everything at this point except a new game which I'm honestly sick of having to do just for a different load order. So on my current save I wanted to add Splash of Rain, Real Shelter, and Elegant Vampire Armor. I run LOOT and then my proccer and let it redo the patch then load it up. No matter what I do they won't initialize. I've tried letting it sit for a few minutes (which is usually long enough for them to load). Tried saving and reloading after waiting. Is it because I'm loading a save outside? Do I have to load a save inside for them to show up? I've never used Real Shelter before and want to try it, and I did download Splash of Rain in the past but never got to really use it because of my computer issues a bit back.

Looks like the equipment of eternal shine mod.
-
Looks like most of those only support body mods. I only use vanilla. They look nice though. Might give the magic mods a try. Some of those new spells look fun and looks like the other one gets rid of my main issue with magic: the tedious casting and swapping spells thing.
-
Partly because that's my gender. I love playing my male characters, but I've been wanting to give a female a try. But what has been stopping me for the longest time was three things, and only one of those I know I have a "fix" for, which I use. The first is the animations. I know I don't walk like that (with that weird arm bending thing), or honestly know anyone that does. Hoping someone fixed that. Then there was the boobcups. That's the only one I have a "fix" for. The third and final thing is the face. I want my character to look natural, and normal. Not like a doll. So what race would be best for that? Or would I need mods for that too?
Other then that I plan to have her as a spellsword since I never play with magic and want to try it, but I would also be able to keep some of my usual play style with it. Probably going to go with destruction and alteration. Probably alchemy instead of restoration though. And heavy armor and one handed are the other skills. Probably smithing and enchanting too.
-
The only stuff that I can recall that worked like that, was replacer stuff for Oblivion. Skyrim doesn't need that anymore. Although there was a work around for Oblivion to not need the esp's anyways, but either not everyone knew how, or, they needed the esp's to make other changes. Pretty much every other mod though is going to need an esp (or esm) to work properly, especially if its changing something in the base game (outside of replacers) or adding new content.

Yeah I'm having this issue too. I noticed today that iNeed was updated just a little before I got up and got on, but there was nothing in my notifications. Or is there like a certain time it takes for the notifications to go through?
