I have several modifications that I added to the game, none of wich add any lag, but they all have a big effect on combat and esthetics (imho). Personally I think I have fine tuned the combat to a level that cannot be improved without adding new animations, wich is not possible, at least not worth the effort. Other than adding tk combat wich I find not to my liking. Mostly weapon locations with armed to the teeth and minor retexture to the scout armor, clipping issues, floating, minor retexture to the scout armor to make the skirt same color as pants to hide clipping , invisibility and healing from right hand without de-equiping shield, combat anim changes. As of now, most my mods are only for male skeletons and 1 handed combat.à Only ask that the poster mentions simeonz as the modder I will dump all the hkx and nif files and somebody with armed to the teeth and ck skills ( very simple ) just explain it to people. have you tried any AI combat mods to make enemies more agressive ??

dont think dwarven and ebony metals actually shatter in this manner unless a giant hits it, and that would just distort it and crush you along with the shield if you actually have it on your arm, your shoulder will get blown apart and you will still wield it with a broken arm/shoulder, the combat mods already simulate that well with the stamina damage. What should happen if this truely followed laws of physics is that the enemy stumbles and falls due to the massive force of blows before your shield breaks.

ok I am managing the weapon mesh. I am looking still looking for somebody who has the knowledge to edit the frames of an hkx files to make the attack a slash.

I made a few tweaks, I am a spellshield and I think its good since I use deadly combat, see the first minute of this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmMdI8OpC24 Mod is called righthandspells but you need to modify it for your spells in the CK

I hear its extremely difficult to edit the animations, but can a simple arm twist for a frame or two be that difficult, all is the same, timing, bones etc... Would it be possible ?

I need collaborators on this new mod/idea/combat style I have, I will release mod once it actually looks good with the new animation and all credit will go to the animator since that is the hard part, right now it is a bit ridiculous with the shield twisting and I do not actually use this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jAuylbD390 (youtube video) http://www.datafilehost.com/download-a5e7b48d.html ( shield on hand ) http://www.datafilehost.com/download-f6e4ae51.html (hkx file ) http://www.datafilehost.com/download-2968143a.html ( shield on back ) I basicly removed the 2 ugly backhand wussy swipes with the powerful cool looking backhand swipes, its still possible to do a strong forehand + strong backhand , ( the classic one when you dont move) if you simply move left or right after the forehand, Same principle applies, if you do a left/right forehand you can shield chop right after if you stop moving or you can do a strong backhand if you keep moving. You can still do a good old headsplitter power attack while not moving as usual, I swapped the backwards attack for the 2 handed ( looks very good ). Basicly the only way to do a weak backhand swoop is then you go backwards and click twice. The front/lateral front works as usual. Not much has changed really... This is just an hkx swap, all damage is calculated from sword even if shield hits, range is also from the sword and audio is too, 1 hand is also leveled when shield hits, totally harmless. Only downside: enemys will sometimes attack weirdbut the experience belongs to the player right ? I need 2 things 1 ( most urgent)- I need somebody to change slightly the hkx file so that the arm stays straight down, he actually turns his wrist for a stab movement wich is quite silly, it is not a slash, I need somebody to simply change the arm twist to a straight down slash to make the axe/shield effect believeable. 2-I need somebody to make me an axe edge with the red part of the picture I showed, adding a an axe blade would make this perfect without making the shield bigger, all the animations and kill cams even use this and make it even more believeable Add a bit of spice to the boring vanilla sword swoops would be cool. The shield bash punch mod + this would REALLY make combat cool.

http://i48.tinypic.com/9a924x.jpg Hi' Ive figured out how to extract and replace hkx files and replaced a few animations, first of all I replaced the boring backward 1 handed power attack with a 2 handed backwards normal attack and it actually looks very fluid the shield never even bothers or clips Now I changed the lateral run first attack with a left handed chop from the duel wield, but its not believeable enough since its a dull blade, but the position is believeable and the footwork is similar. I need somebody to make me an axe edge with the red part of the picture I showed, adding a ''slight tiny'' curve and blade would make this perfect. Only on that side, all the animations and kill cams even use this and make it even more believeable Add a bit of spice to the boring vanilla sword swoops would be cool. The shield bash punch mod + this would REALLY make combat cool.

You can imagine that I can dispose of the chief much more quickly if my damage was higher. copy the url if video doesnt work, it works on youtube.

if somebody could do this for me I would be grateful, I cant even import/export anything. I'll post my finely tuned armed to the teeth shield on hip files and somebody do the armor, then we can make a new mod, a perfect character will be possible once this is done.

Deadly Combat or Duel - Combat Realism?

For some reason Asis makes me crash, so I used a few optional pise files, I chose deadly combat and love it that all enemys can seriously hurt me and so can I, its fast paced kill or be killed. Since I play 3rd person I dont really hit the head as much as I want, but its still not to see enemy archers hit you in the head also. As for duke, never tried it, it didnt seem all that popular but I may now. -
the scout armor mod is well balanced for a a non suspicious looking sneak, you will look like a very accomplished warrior tho, the armor screams $$. Unfortunately the armor clips badly when walking, see my post here trying to make it perfect. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/953916-removing-unwanted-armor-parts/ also there is an armor mod called silenced vestments, wich is also pretty nice, not quite as amazing as the scout armor tho.

Before I begin, this is not to make my own mod and steal credits, just to fix something that is annoying me beautiful scout armor mod can be found here (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7109) Basicly I'm trying to remove the annoying clipping back skirt part of the armor. If I scale it down to 0.3, I see it almost removed in the nif but not actually in game, yes I am saving correctly, I guess this is not how its done. Ive already looked into all the guides yet I seem to miss the part where we actually specify WICH node (in my case skirtnode 31) will be flagged or related as transparent somwehere, I get the point where you make an alpha property ( scout armor mod creator already did it for me). http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/790989-partial-armor-editing/ Add transparency Shader flags for working transparency You may need to have a part of the mesh transparent or semitransparent. To do that: Select the NiTriShape node that contains your mesh and right click on itSelect Block -> Insert from the pop up menuSelect NiA... from the drop down list and then select NiAlphaProperty.The new node will be added at the end of the nif file. To place it in its right possition:Note down the number of the new node you've just added (29, for example)Select the NiTriShape node again and browse down in the Block Details until you see the Properties property as shown in picture Moving the BSLightingShaderProperty node to its right position.Expand the Properties and in the second row value change the None to the number of the node you've added (29 in the example). Now the NiAlphaProperty node has moved and is shown under the NiTriShapenode as shown in picture Adding transparency. Select the NiAlphaProperty node you've just add and in Block Details look for the Flags parameter and set it to a the value that makes the armour look better in game. The values that work: Flags = 4845, Threshold = 0Add also the ShaderFlag SLSF2_Assume_Shadowmask to the Shader Flags 2 as shown in picture Shader flags for working transparency. This way the meshes with transparency won't loose their colour (won't turn black) when close to a lightins source.Once you've modified all these parameters, save the nif file of your armour. ( This was already done for me by Baddaboom the scout armor creator, yet nowhere do I even see where and how to specify wich Ninode I want flagged as ''alphaproperty'', yet he did manage to do it with the oversized ugly shoulders, unfortunately those ninodes are identical to all the rest :( I wish somebody could either tell what I'm doing wrong so I can start modifying the armors I find ugly.
