Back when the game first came out the characters talked a lot more, but was patched to be agonizingly infrequent- and yes plenty of mods exist that shut them up altogether, but I enjoyed the random comments they'd make. I'd really like to know what the variables actually are to alter the timing, and maybe even do it myself as well.
