Flemming

Now when I attempt to open LOOT, an error message is popping up saying api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing. GAH. Ahem. Searches are just suggesting installing the 2015 version of Visual C++, which is already installed.

The missing DLL is MSVCP140.dll. It comes up as an error message whenever I try to open LOOT.

For the record, the problem I'm having with LOOT is a missing DLL, that should be there because as far as I can tell it comes with the MSVC 2017 x86 redistributable that LOOT requires. I've already been through multiple uninstall and reinstalls of everything, so, yea, I don't know. This problem is beyond me.

So recently decided to start a new modded game of F:NV and for some reason, LOOT refuses to open for reasons, and after spending an entire evening with a friend trying to find the cause, I've thrown my hands up and come here to see if there are any other options for load order programs. Or, am I going to be stuck trying to finagle my load order manually? Thank you in advance for any help offered.

I threw up my hands in frustration after trying a handful of things. I did a full uninstall/delete of everything related to F:NV and started over from scratch. The base game with all DLCs is starting up fine now. Fallout, you're weird. I'm going to slowly introduce the mods I want and hopefully no further problems arise. If they do, I'll return.

So, after a long time, I decided to play a new game in F:NV. I reinstalled, downloaded and (correctly) installed a bunch of mods. However, the game crashes on the loading screen after choosing New game on the title screen. I've tried a couple of fixes found online (modifying the ini file, updating drivers) but these have not helped. Even disabling everything except from the base game and DLCs, this issue still occurs. Anyone have any suggestions/ideas?

I can coc out, but I'm afraid of this occuring in other dungeons.

I've had a problem similar to this before. I'm in the Dustman's Crypt section of the Dustman's Cairn dungeon. I am on the Proving Honor quest with Farkas and have just retrieved the fragment. I am trying to leave the Dustman's Crypt section, but using either exit causes the game to crash on the load screen. The above is the error log for the crash. This is my load order.

Sorry, was at the end of my rope last night. Messed around with it some more last night, I'm able to get into the game, but I'm still having CTDs when trying to leave dungeons, or when moving to a different cell within the dungeon. I can coc out of the dungeon, and won't have any issues in towns/cities. My PC has a 6 core processor, 8 GB of ram, AMD Radeon R7 200 graphics card. I use NMM to install most of my mods, aside from those where the mod maker indicated otherwise. I use LOOT to order mods, and have cleaned them where necessary with TES5Edit. I've utilized several stability fixes as well as outlined here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/?.

EDIT EDIT: Ok, went through and tried to implement some stability fixes. Now the game is crashing on the title screen after the dragon emblem appears but before the New Load Options etc appears. I am having no luck here.

kk ... I'll do some cleanings and see where I'm at. I'm not terribly worried about having to start over, I'm not that far into my current character anyway (lvl 5 I think), just wanna make sure everything else works ... I will definately keep what you say in mind though. And I give you an untold amount of thanks for being so patient and helpful. If I had a tangible way of returning the favor, I'd spend the rest of the day doing it. Thank you, a thousand thousand thank yous!

kk, updated wrye ... Not getting any errors about corrupt dlcs anymore. I ran skyrim to see where I'm at there. I can get to loading my save, but the game crashes during the loading screen, so ..... still some issues here. What now? Do you guys need more info or anything like that?
