I thought I saw a mod like this a little while ago but all attempts through the search engine have failed to turn it up. I know it is a long shot but it would be nice to see Scavengers not so aggressive. At this point they are little better than raiders. I'd like to see a mod that makes it possible to trade (50 to 100 cap limits) with them or perhaps even recruit them as settlers. Face it scavengers are survivors and having them added to the community could be a good thing. This is just a humble thought and request and I very much understand that because I'm not requesting the next "giant boob" or "BB Gun that calls down an orbital strike on a critical hit" mod that I'm likely to be ignored but I figured I would give it a shot. I'll thank you for at least taking the time you did to read this.

I have always found it weird that my settlers have no problem taking weapons I trade to them but if I trade better armor to them than they originally came with they do not wear it even after I remove the old armor/clothing they came with. Showing the settlers you care about their wellbeing should create a little happiness (like adding a painting or rug to a home) I believe the formula is a half point of happiness per painting/rug placed. Perhaps a full upgrading of the settlers armor and weapons could do the same. Would love to see something like this. Thank you for the time you took to read this. 6/20 - Wasted my time. Should have learned my lesson long ago.

Any possibility that a Moderator might be able to help me with this?

I am dealing with a situation that I absolutely have no clue how to deal with. Please understand that I do not know how to post load orders yet. Situation: When going through the Automatron DLC it seems to start normally, I can help ADA during the beginning fight, talk to her and then go through the quest to kill the first Robobrain and get the device from it. No hiccups at all during any of that. My problem comes after I build the Robot Workbench. No problem building it and no crashes after it is first built. It is after I talk to ADA and tell her I'm ready to install the device on her. She gets onto the bench and I hit the build/craft selection to install. The moment I try anything on that bench it crashes to desktop without fail. I have no mods directly related to the Automatron DLC at all. The DLC is ticked on NMM to activate it. The game is a 100% legal copy. The computer easily meets or exceeds all system requirements for Fallout 4. The quest marker shows it should be built at Sunshine Tidings which I have cleared but not settled. I've built it in a couple of my established settlements mainly Sanctuary Hills. No matter where it is built the Robot Workbench the game crashes when I try to use it. If any of you have encountered this can you please let me know what may be causing it? I have tried Wiki searches and looks at the official forums and I have found nothing. Thank you in advance if you can help.

Red Rocket Not a settlement
dragon awakened replied to endersblade's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
To be honest I never set up RR as a settlement. I used a scrap everything mod and took everything including the building out and built a personal base for my character. I can see your frustration however. I hope that you are able to get this resolved. -
Strange Crash Happening

During The Automatron add on when I first build the robot workbench the game traps me in the animation where I am working at the station and after about a minute of not letting me do anything it crashes to desktop. Game and all DLCs are legitimate and up to date. I have no mods related to Automatron. I have checked on this situation on other sites but nothing shows up for my particular problem. I would appreciate at least some insight on this situation because up until I build that bench and try to use it everything works just fine. I am able to rescue ADA and kill the first Robobrain and then once I build the bench everything goes to Hell in a pair of blue bunny slippers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I thank you in advance for any help or insight you may give.

I think I would like an alternate start mod. Guess I just don't like the fact that my character is a parent. I have ideas but not the skills to implement them. Why can't Bethesda just do a game where the character is a productive part of the game's society rather than a slave, a prisoner, or some clueless clown crawling out of a vault or cave. Just my humble thoughts. I know I will not actually buy or play FO4 until all of its DLCs are out just as I have done with FO3, FONV and Skyrim but it will be interesting to watch the modding community for this game grow and develop. And of course an m24 (sniper class rifle like I used in FONV) would be nice. :)

Two different bandit camps Robber's Gorge and Halted Stream Mining Camp have always stood out as good places to use as bases .. or at least some combined elements of those two camps. However while I do like those bases I do not like those two particular locations and of course some elements of each such as the slaughterhouse element of the Halted Stream Mining Camp. If I could figure out how to do a good screenshot I would post up 3 locations that I feel would be ideal locations.

@ ScottC : I understand through others that the Creation Kit for Skyrim is far more difficult to use than the GECK. Skyrim is so old at this point my guess is that most mod authors at this point would rather save themselves the headache. I'm not that computer savvy in the first place so I personally don't know the full truth on the differences/difficulties between the two. @ Fenryr3001 : Unfortunately my system doesn't seem to be able to deal with the creation kit. Constant crashes when I try to activate. I do not know why it will not work but I have been able to use the GECK to mod my Fallout games with no problem. I figured I would just ask and see if anybody would like to do this as it would be very different in scope compared to the run of the mill housing mods. Thanks to both of you for reading the topic and for your input.

A concept I have always had for my character is that she is a bandit hunter come to Skyrim to recruit like minded individuals to her cause and ply her trade. I could not for that reason see this character living in a huge castle or well furnished manor. I was thinking perhaps a well fortified camp somewhere near Whiterun with all of the crafting stations, a number of large tents (some for followers, one for storage, one for the enchanting and alchemy stations and one set aside as a private bathing area for the user and any followers, obviously there would also be a private tent for the character. I'm thinking of a total of 10 tents through the camp. The camp would have a low wall surrounding it or like in many imperial camps have some sort of obstacle that would slow down charging attackers. I would like to see if anybody is interested in giving this idea a shot. If you are I would discuss further ideas and details at that point. Please understand that I am unsure of what can and cannot be done through the Creation Kit but I do not think I am looking for anything crazy or over the top here. If I request something that is not possible then let me know and we can figure out something new. Whether you choose to help me or not I thank you for the time you took to at least read this humble request.

Greetings to all, Around a month ago my computer was hit with a really nasty virus resulting in a complete loss of my Skyrim game and all related mods. I reloaded my Skyrim and redownloaded all of the old mods I had or at least that I could find. Ever since the reload I have been dealing with a problem that I am at my wits end over. The game for the most part plays fine with the exception of the typical crashes associated with Bathesda games until I pick up any Follower/Companion vanilla or modded. The game becomes far more unstable and I would estimate that 75% of the time when I try to go through a transition into a house, city or dungeon the game goes into a long loadscreen crash. If I try to separate from them I can almost guarantee 95% of the time my game goes into a long loadscreen crash. I know it would be easier to diagnose if I had a mod load order set up here but I don't quite know how to do that yet. * - I use UFO and all of it's plug ins and they are placed at the lowest part of the load order list as the instructions say. * - My system is not the most efficient being a 32bit and not a 64 but up until the virus hit everything ran steady. * - I broke down and downloaded the SKSE at its most current build/version. * - I have less than 75 mods (yes, I am picky lol) * - I use the most up to date versions of the following companion follower mods: Danariel Stormbow, My Home Is Your Home, Lunari Warriors (not all members used), Ashara, Erin and Sienna (total of 6 members in that group) and a specifically made for me follower named Calandria that will not be found here on Nexus as of yet. The crashes were all happening well before Calandria was downloaded so I know that mod is not the source. * - I know that UFO has a maximum limit of 15 followers but at most I use 14 (7 travel with me and 7 guard my home) * - I am not a computer wiz when it comes to dealing with tech based problems and my system does not seem to handle the Creation Kit at all (insta crash). I tried to be as clear with everything here as possible. If you can help in any way I appreciate it. If I need to clarify anything further I will do my best to do so. I thank you for the time you took to read this. Sincerely, Dragon Awakened

Greetings to you who chose to take the time to read this. To start off I have all of the weapons, armor and followers I could ever use. My problem is that I have yet to find a housing mod that really suits my needs or fulfills my vision on my character. I did not want her living in a castle or an underground lair so my theory was something like a fortified bandit camp similar to Halted Stream Mining Camp and Robber's Gorge. I need it to be large enough to accommodate the character and up to a dozen followers/companions. I use UFO so my max number of followers is 15 but I think I have only around 10 to 12 (half of which are left to guard the camp.) My preferred location for this project would be the large field across from the Battle-Born farm outside of Whiterun. I'm not looking for anything fancy or overpowering. As this is a bandit hunter's base in theory it is subject to attack and I would not take or keep children there. If you are not comfortable with working on an underground storage area I would be content with an all above ground base. If you as a modder would like to try this I would like to do a bit more detailed description and discuss what is and what is not possible with you. I did not do a detailed description yet for that very reason. I thank you for the time you took to read this.
