Origin? That's weird... Was it related to SKSE or just regular Skyrim? What did they do? Uninstall BF3/Origin? EDIT: But if I remember correctly my issue has been happening since before I got Battlefield 3 on Origin...

I know what you're saying, and I've heard it before, but the fact remains that even after a clean uninstall of Skyrim starting a new game with nothing running except SKSE still causes the stutter. And I'm not having any stuttering issues with other games (Battlefield 3, Dota 2, Guild Wars 2, etc).

I'm having an odd issue with SKSE. Launching Skyrim normally through steam has no problems whatsoever; I can play fine at 30-50 fps. However when I play through the skse_loader I get what I can only describe as lag; the game plays fine for a few minutes but then everything starts stuttering horribly (i.e. smoke, flames, walking, moving, etc) even though the actual FPS still stays the same. The strange thing is though, alt+tabbing makes the lag/stutter go away temporarily, but it always comes back. I honestly have no idea what could be causing it. I've used SKSE fine with no problems before (like around the Skyrim 1.6 patch) but I can't recall when exactly it started doing this. I've removed all mods, all ENB, done a complete reinstall of Skyrim; but even running nothing but SKSE causes the lag. Things I have already tried to fix this: Uninstalling all mods Reinstalling Skyrim Reinstalling SKSE Starting new save game Playing in windowed mode Running skse_loader as administrator Turning off firewalls/antiviruses I made a thread on the official steam forums here (http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/846942784191169171/) but I haven't had any solutions that work. So if anyone could identify this problem or help me solve it I'd really appreciate it.

Hi all, I have a relatively simple request here. I want to ask someone to port this Felt Hat from Oblivion - nothing overly complicated (I don't think), just a hat. It's not actually a mod, but a modder's resource so you don't need permission, just credits. So if anyone is interested or has the time, I would really appreciate if it could be ported to Skyrim. Edit: It has been made in to a mod in Oblivion, so I'll just link it here in case it is somehow helpful.

There's already a mod that does that. RTR - Real Time Reading.

I found a modder's resource here of a feathered cap from Oblivion, if no one feels up to creating a new model. There's also the Feathered Felt Hats also from Oblivion, mod which uses that same modder's resource, but maybe it's easier to port I don't know.

Just a simple mod idea, really. One of those pointed hats that English? archers wear, with a feather in the brim. Or you could call it Robin Hood's hat, if that is more familiar. Preferably brown in colour. Reference pics:

How could it a problem with VRAM/graphics cards if it played perfectly before the patch?

After a complete uninstall and reinstall of Skyrim, I started a new save with no mods or anything, and I do not get the stuttering problem when I run the game with the default launcher. However, if I use the latest version of SKSE to run Skyrim, I inevitably get the stuttering problem after a few minutes of gameplay. So I guess the issue is related to SKSE somehow. I have no idea if my specs matter, but: AMD Phenom II X4 N970 AMD Radeon HD6550M 6GB DDR3 RAM

Alright I seem to have narrowed down the issue to mounted combat. Fighting on horseback initiates the stuttering; otherwise the game plays smoothly P.S. this only occurs in SKSE, mounted combat works perfectly when I launch the game with the default launcher.

My steam is disabled in-game, and I mostly play offline anyway. Sigh, I really don't feel like uninstalling/reinstalling Skyrim or all my mods cuz of this patch. EDIT: Im not sure, but it may be a problem with SKSE. I tried launching the game with the default launcher and it seems to play fine. Can anyone confirm this?

Also getting the same problem, micro stuttering everywhere. Someone know the source of this? It's making Skyrim unplayable.

Hi, There is a mod I want to use that offers a few awesome custom spells, however some of the spells are set at 'Expert' level or higher, and unfortunately this causes my character to level too quickly. I fiddled around with the .esp in the Creation Kit and figured out how to edit the magicka costs and stuff, but I cannot seem to figure out how to change the spell level, specifically to novice (since my character is not a caster). So if someone could point me in the right direction, that'd be great. P.S. This is all assuming the spell level is what dictates the amount of experience you get when casting a spell. If it is something else then please let me know what it is, and how to change it.Thanks.

Hi I've just noticed recently that when wearing the Hammerfell garb (as well as redguard clothes) the mesh in first person is not the correct one. Instead of the Hammerfell garb arms I get one of the generic 'clothes' (the one with missing wrists). I can't figure out why this is, as even after removing every mod I have its still like that. Could someone point me to a fix for this? Or is this a problem with the original game?

Alright I'll give it a try . Thanks very much a7x5631.

Doesn't steam save all the content though? Or what if mods replaced vanilla stuff, would that affect anything? And just to be clear I'm to delete steamapps/common/skyrim?

My game has been having CTDs that were not present before, likely due to some mods I've installed. I believe I've gotten to the point where I have absolutely too many mods to keep track of, and so I have really no idea of what is causing it. (Yes I used NMM for most of them but even after removing all files with it I either crash on startup or the CTDs still occur) Is there any way to completely flush out all mods, all .ini's, everything, so that I have the complete vanilla skyrim again?

Hi I'm wondering how I can add custom hairs to Lydia, specifically the TERA hairs, which are non-replacers. I have tried using the NPC Editor but the hairs won't show up for some reason. I'm guessing it's possible with the Creation Kit but honestly I have no idea how to use it. If anyone could give a step-by-step tutorial on how I can do this, I would greatly appreciate it :)

Would anybody be interested in seeing Dark Souls-esque armor in Skyrim? I don't want to get in to a debate about which game is better, but I really like the look of most of the starting class armors (i.e. Wanderer, Monk, etc). They are pretty realistic, at least in a fantasy game, and they would seem pretty lore-friendly in Skyrim. They aren't overly elaborate either, pretty much leathers and rags so it shouldn't be too difficult, but really I have no experience in modding so it's just speculation. EDIT: I realize creating the exact model would violate copyright or something - I am just using them for a frame of reference; I would like to see armors that resemble the ones in DS. Anyway, see if what you think:
