  1. kroXh I have the exact same problem. Weird thing is that I can crank all of the other settings up to maximum, screen blur, anisotropics everything, those all work fine so long as I restrict the resolution to 800x600, but the ground is the same as the sky. It's loosely playable but not the experience I had hoped for. Standard advice is update your drivers and see if that cures it...but like you I've already done that. It won't be an overheat problem as it is the single easiest texture group to render...it is so annoying. Especially as I can't afford to buy a new card just for the sake of one game.
  2. I like the idea of transport in the game, just not motorized. I don't know if there is a back-story reason for there being no motorized transport in game, I like the thought that complex machines are considered a taboo...after all that's what got the world in the state it's in. I take the approach that technology is only considered good if it is required for survival. Horses in Oblivion worked fairly well and it shouldn't be hard to transfer the mechanics of it to a Brahmin...that would be enough to reduce the speed to faster than running, but not so fast that the world shrinks too much. Combat from the back of the Brahmin would be tricky though, and stealth would be impossible, so maybe it would be enough to strike a balance.
  3. You've probably done this, but I'm just making sure... To get other mods to work you need to have archive invalidation installed...or the relevent file modified to allow custom content. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=229 Try it anyway, just in case. Let me know how you get on.
  4. Just had a thought. Do you get the error "Active file not set"? 'cos that may also have something to do with it.
  5. Also I found that my error (esp files saving as shortcuts from GECK) were caused by the expansion packs (Or one expansion pack). Sadly I don't know which one caused it, but reinstalling Fallout without the expansions was enough to fix the fault.
  6. 20072008 try using fallout mod manager, it allows you to combine mods into a single mod. It is also really useful at unpacking files that you may want to manipulate or alter by using the bsa unpacker. Of course there may be a better way that someone can suggest, but that's how I'd do it. (Edited my post as I resolved my problem)
  7. Apologies if this is a repeat (This thread is huge) After returning from Cloud Ruler Temple for the first time, to deal with the spies in Bruma I witnessed two Imperial Legionnaire Rangers playing kiss chase with bows. One would fire and the other would run, then the second would stop and return fire and the first would run...I think the pair were originally together hunting deer and one must've stood too close. It was made funnier 'cos they were both like porcupines, arrows bristling from every limb. Shouting at each other as they disappeared over a nearby mound.
