Hmm... well, considering you said it could throttle downloads, then it sounds like a workable solution. I'll check on it another day and see how it goes, here's hoping.

It's not that complicated really, normally we don't even need to care, because the download time at full speed for most files does not exceed an hour or two, and at worst we can time downloads so as not to tie up our network, such as overnight, but in this case, the download time would be significantly over 20 hours, and to download normally, this would limit/prohibit other network users, which is not acceptable, and thus is half the reason we use download managers in the first place, even 50GB of data can be downloaded at 20KB/s in "only" 28 or so days (the other reason is of course scheduling, JDownloader in particular allows scheduling times to download at different speeds, which with our setup cuts the above from 28 days to 16, something you just can't do with any browser we know of). As an aside, I am unable to integrate QoS into our network/ISP, so we can't accomplish this through that either. jdownloader allows you to download hundreds of files at once. Maybe he want to limit the speed to not trigger the API from cutting him off? JDownloader, as mentioned, does not appear to work properly with nexus, and if we did download hundreds of files from nexus, we'd do them one at a time, as I've configured as the default, due to many hosting services having issues with multiple downloads. Additionally, I've configured it to download through a single connection as well, for the same reason of maximizing compatibility/stability over speed. Presumably, nexus is prohibiting JDownloader due to a lack of premium, but, that doesn't really make sense since the there's an integration in place made specifically for doing this? In light of that, I Honestly thought I'd set something incorrectly with the JDownloader login/key config, but I've gone over it half a dozen times and I'm getting the same result each time where it connects to nexus and says I have "0 B of 0 B left" for Download traffic left, and it says "skipped - Account is missing" on trying to download any file (but it isn't missing, because when I give JDownloader my key, it get's my account detail, including an email address which I've never given JDownloader, looking into the message itself online, the error message is more or less a misleading default). Hmm... we've been wondering what vortex is, though if it only allows downloading mods for "games Vortex supports", then it will be of little use for us, but thanks for the mention. Still unsure what can be done in our case, though if there were a way to throttle an entire browser or computer's network access, that might work as a solution, but I've not yet found a way to do either so far. Hmm, maybe I can get the download to start through a browser but have JDownloader grab the download...? I feel like I used to have a download manager that did something like that (though, I also remember this not working a lot of the time...), I'll see if I can try something like that anyway if only to rule it out.

The default go-to method for something like this would be to use a download manager, but nexus is refusing to let me use mine (says I have 0 of 0 network traffic available *shrug*), so unless there's a download manager that can be used with nexus, how might I do this? EDIT: The download manager I tried is JDownloader 2 btw, feel free to suggest any known working alternatives if they exist.
