  1. Honestly, I've never had a mod come up as corrupted. Never heard of the vampire mod but guess you'll find out if you have trouble when you transform

There's a list of dangerous or potentially dangerous mods that's updated regularly. It also gives some guidelines on things to take into consideration. Don't see the vampire mod there, but that doesn't necessarily mean you won't have issues with it.

    http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/523890681422555089/

Thank you! I will keep an eye on it. Thank you for all your help. You have been a delight! Even if my crashing issues aren't fixed you have at least given me more weapons i my arsenal to figure it out.

  2. I don't know about Eyes of Beauty so either leave it be or use another replacement if you think it might cause anything. I use Natural Eyes as a replacer and True Eyes to add additional options.

Typically I do clean everything that comes up dirty unless the mod author states not to and I might take a look at the posts on the mod to see if anyone said it was safe to clean. And if Tes5edit says there are deleted navmeshes that can't be undeleted, then I just remove the mod and find something else. Unless the author states what's been deleted is safe, which is usually some out of the way spot that no other mod is likely to reference.

If you get to adding more mods that add to your leveled lists, either in what npc's are wearing, merchants are selling, chests have as loot, etc., you might also want to consider using Wrye Bash down the road. That can help some with crashes too if mods aren't competing but nicely merged together. Another tool that is very easy to use.

I dealt with crashes for months and finally have gotten to where I have none at all. I get things stable and then add a mod at a time. If I crash at all, out it goes heh.

I believe one of the mods I have requires Eyes of Beauty. I'm not entirely sure though. If it is required it is for one I downloaded a while back. I'll check into it though and if not then I think I will try out what you suggested.

Oh yeah I have heard of Wrye Bash. Didn't know what it was for. I doubt I will add much more. I like things the way they are really. But who knows, I might get bored of the way it is now. As for crashes I didn't really have crashes until recently and I haven't added many mods when it did start. The only mods I added were armors and weapon replaces/stand alones. My first thought was that my computer was getting worse, but it's not that old so didn't make sense to me either.

Oh I have a quick question about something I saw in LOOT. It says that one of the mods I have (better vampire lord transformation) is corrupted. None of my characters are vampire lords yet so I haven't tested this in game. But online a lot of people said theirs sad the same thing but it was fine and that "LOOT gives wrong warnings sometimes". Is that something I should worry about?

  3. You may want to also clean up those dirty files in TES5Edit. Might help with your crashes. It doesn't take long and is fairly easy to do.

    Gopher's video explains it well.

Okay sorry for the late reply, between Christmas and New Years I have been all over the place. I cleaned up the dirty files. And now the only one that LOOT says is possibly an issue is Eyes of Beauty but for some reason TES5Edit won't clean that one up. But I read that it isn't really necessary to clean mods, just the Bethesda stuff. I loaded the save that is at the point where it crashes. It still crashes. So I just did the console commands to bypass that part and completed the mission. I have now played some without crashing. So maybe I am good? Only time will tell. thank you for suggesting to clean! I read in a lot of places (after you suggested it) that dirty files can causes crashes. So this might help some of my other crashing issues. Maybe the one I was experiencing with the Walking Nightmare quest was just that bug that somehow slipped through the patch.

  4. There was an old bug related to this but it should be fixed by the unofficial Skyrim patch which you have. But it was triggered by saving or autosaving during the Dreamstride part of the quest. Make sure you have auto saves turned off and aren't saving while you are doing that quest.

If that doesn't work, there's a couple fixes listed on the unofficial wiki you can try:

    - You can bypass the dream sequence entirely using the console commands player.setstage da16 160 and movetoqt da16 2

    - The bug may be related to having a follower. If you have one, dismiss them outside before doing the quest.

    - Instead of drinking the Torpor, use the tcl command to cross through the barrier and remove the soul gem

Some more information at the bottom of this page: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Waking_Nightmare#Bugs

Oh interesting. I didn't save during the quest until after the bug started. I don't have any saves before the quest. I guess I'll have to bypass the quest or something. I want to say it crashed a few times before as well but I'm not sure if that was because of something else or not.

  5. My game keeps crashing right after I get through the Walking Nightmare quest part where you drink that potion to do the dream walk. I get to the chain to release the measma (how ever it's spelled) and it loads me back to the normal world. Then after a few seconds it just crashes.

    My computer's specs:

    -Alienware Laptop 17

    -Windows 7

-Intel i7 with factory overclocking to 4.3 GHz (low 2.9)

-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M (memory size 8192, if that's helpful)

    -32 GB Ram

    -using Mod Organizer

What I have tried so far:

-lowering graphics settings to the absolute lowest, still crashes

-raising the memory patch of skse to 1280mb and even 2560mb

Weirdest part is I haven't made a huge change with this save recently. In the past I had played Skyrim with many more mods. got tired of all of them and started over. Keeping this save pretty light (compared to my previous mod sets). I don't know what is causing all this. I have tried everything I think would have an effect but I guess I lack some knowledge somewhere. Maybe one of you can figure out what I can't.

  6. Hey guys, I am new here. Well relatively, made an account a long time ago back when Oblivion was still newish and never actually got a pc version of Oblivion so never came here again. Anyways, I finally got a gaming computer and I bought Skyrim and of course started modding. I'm actually surprised I didn't destroy the game (I was like a kid in a candy shop). But anyways, Most things work and I still have a functioning file and most problems I can google and figure out myself. But this animation thing is killing me and I can't find the answer. I'm sure it's easy for someone who is more experienced so please forgive me if this seems to easy. I really have tried to find the answer but I just don't know what to look for. Anyways; my problems:

I have install CBBE slim, XP32 skeleton, FNIS (behavior, spells, creature, sexy move), and XP32 new animation pack. CBBE body looks perfect... until I run, walking looks great, standing and everything but running. When I run or sprint the butt and chest sink in then when I stop the bounce back out which makes them jiggle WAY to much. Most, if not all, XP32 animations don't even work. If I am correct it is supposed to change the sprint animation for females, spells, bow walking and running, how the character holds the dual wield weapons, and a few others. Well none of that happens. I had it working at one point but a I think a new mod install messed it up. So I reinstalled XP32 animations but they still don't work. I also had installed "sexy idle animation" which, just like XP32 animations, worked but now doesn't. The weirdest thing is when I draw my dual swords they start to move to the modded stance (right hand sword held down) but then pop back to the vanilla stance (both pointed up). As for the others nothing of note other than they are just vanilla animations.

I looked up this problem and the common thing for people to mess up is not using the FNIS generate thing and I have done that... many times, and I did check the right things according to the install instructions on XP32 animations page. On XP32 animations page it says that either I didn't install or use FNIS correctly OR the animations don't exist. I'm not sure if I am using FNIS right or not. It doesn't seem that hard to me, just install animation mods, click the big orange button, check for warnings, done.... right? I also use LOOT and TES5Edit to check everything is right and nothing comes up there. The only thing I can think of is I have my skyrim folder in my Programs/Steam folder (the default location) and I did set my Skyrim launcher to launch as Admin but maybe I don't have write permissions for all the files and folders in that folder? I don't know. Just trying to give you as much information as possible to reduce the amount of questions you have to ask me. As always, thank you in advance for you help.
