  1. In response to post #43389245. #43391895, #43394075, #43413580, #43418170 are all replies on the same post. Wow! All this time I thought I was an old codger here at 55! Nice to know other people my age still enjoy gaming. I have lot's of younger friends that game but only a couple near my age that still do. Anyway totally agree with you... thanks modders!
  2. You must be experiencing some kind of glitch because I play with mouse and keyboard and can use the arrow keys, enter key and even the mouse with no problem. I know I have read that some people have had to put the holotape into a terminal first to "separate the game from the magazine" and then after doing that they just launch the holotape from the pipboy as intended. But, you said you get the opening game screen soo... I dunno. Umm, long shot but you said you tried pressing every key... did you try just clicking on the game screen with the mouse?
  3. If what you predict actually happens, I won't buy any more beth games. I'm almost to that point anyway. So to answer your question... 8 ) None of the above.
  4. I'm having the same problem at Greentop right now. Vendor's will go to their stores for a couple minutes then just go back and sit down somewhere. Guards and farmers do the same. I noticed cap production has also suffered due to this. Very few caps after being away for a long time. I'm level 68 and have no DLC's. I'm only running about 25 mods. The whole settlement/settler's part of the game has been broken from day one. Beth has done very little to fix it or anything else and that's why I won't pay for extra content. I guess this kinda turned into a rant. :) My point was... I think this issue is in the vanilla game.
  5. Gawd OP.... I hope you put more effort into the other endeavors in your life than you do in starting new threads. Have a little self respect for pete's sake. Just because we're pretty anonymous here is no reason to sound like you're 8 years 4 years old. I mean there's even a spell checker for cryin' out loud... Wow. I'm saying this for your own good. If you ever want to be taken seriously, you can't be like that. I won't even get started on your "opinion". I can't even...
  6. In response to post #39482355. Just had to say I think you make a couple of incredibly valid points.
  7. Just had to add my thanks for your efforts on this. Losing all those mods would be like losing a piece of history. Maybe not as dramatic but it does have that feel. Good on you!
  8. I personally wouldn't care for hard rock or metal in the FO world although I do like those genres. However, I've always thought that there is FAR better music from the 50's that wound fit in. Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino and Elvis just to name a few. I understand it's all about copyrights but just sayin'... there was way better and more popular music from the era. This thread has inspired me to check out a mod that lets you add your own music so thanks for the links! Think I'll start with "The Stroll" by The Diamonds. That would fit nicely. Now where did I put that digital American Graffiti album....
  9. The new features look fine. Not even one of the bug fixes I was hoping for though. I don't think I ever noticed any of their new fixes as bugs in the first place! I can't help but feel disappointed with these first couple of patches.
  10. digitaltrucker, thanks for the great info! I just have to say that you and I play this game the same way I think. I've got almost 300 hours in game and I'm maybe half done. Oh and I'm still on one character! How did you put it?... You like to "putz around"? If that doesn't describe my play style, nothing does! Puddycat, Right? My game was just fine until the patch! But I do like the settler's task icons they finally added. And it is indeed at "Country Crossing" that I've been having to avoid that settler with the spam quest.
  11. The newest patch was supposed to fix this. Funny since I never had this problem until after the new patch was installed. At one of my settlements a guy keeps making a bee-line toward me every time I go there. I know he wants to give me a spam quest (it happened the first time and I re-loaded and have avoided him since) and I keep running away from him while trying to get my settlement business done. It's almost comical... like trying to avoid a salesman or the local bum. digitaltrucker your mod sounds good I'll have to check it out. Anything would be better than my current fix which is... RUN!
  12. Yep, Piper smokes like a fiend in my game. Come to think of it Curie is just as bad and I don't think smoking fits either personality. Cait is the only female I would picture as a smoker. I Don't think I've ever noticed a male companion smoke?? Now Strong I can see chomping on a fat cigar... or having a big wad of Beechnut in his cheek. But I digress...
  13. robhartman - You've never seen her smoke?? That's funny to me because she's a chain smoker in my game. Billy Shears - Yeah, I've seen the cig sticking out the back of her hand as she's walking thing a few times. It's distracting but no idea how to fix it.
  14. My mods are fine and the game seems to run better for me overall but... "Fixed an issue with Minutemen quests repeating improperly" The first time this has happened to me was last night AFTER the patch was installed. So um, yeah. Kinda sucks. So if I go back to that settlement that was already cleared and settled will my game explode? Any way to delete journal quests?
  15. Totally get it now. Can be pretty confusing to the folks new to mods. Thanks to both of you! Now I gotta go see if the new patch ruined my game. :ermm:
