  1. Well... if you say you have made that very same mod combo work on the same computer... and you used LOOT and BOSS... there are few ideas I can think of (perhaps you've already been through them yourself). Perhaps....: 1- you loaded too many mods at once? I know you say you tried activating one mod at a time, but if you tried running your first game with that load of mods all at once (or, in any case, just any mods) perhaps you have something messed up with the scripts on your save. I assume you made sure the game worked well vanilla first, then went on installing mods in small batches and testing the game. 2- A change in graphic card driver, and/or its settings (even without you realizing- automatic updates, reset settings to default, etc.). I had that happen to me, my computer suddenly for some reason wouldn't recognize the card when running the game (and used the integrated for Skyrim, which still ran but... stuttered horribly and I had jagged diagonal movements with my mouse). This developed into even worse issues, and I almost burned my computer. 3- You upgraded one or more of your previous mods for a newer version. New releases of the same mod sometimes have updated requirements or are just simply bugged. If you did, these newer versions have higher chances of being the culprits. just some thoughts, I hope you fix your game!
  2. That doesn't look like it will fix what I am talking about. I have no problems with shadow striping (I see some outdoors mostly, but am not bothered by it). Flickering is my issue. Thanks for the reply anyway :)
  3. Hi I play Skyrim on an OK-ish computer. No problems so far... However whenever I go under/near a flickering light (such as those commonly found inside Dwarven ruins, or fireplaces) my computer struggles a bit and I get noticeable stuttering. I remember when I played Oblivion (ages ago, on another computer) I had the same issue. I fixed it with a mod called 'No Lights Flicker'. I couldn't find any such mod for skyrim though, and this may be because that NoLightsFlicker mod was later integrated into Wrye Bash's tweaks (meaning anyone could switch off flickering lights from wrye without adding a mod for it). I do use Wrye, but I am no genius when it comes to it. I've read as many guides and readmes as I could find and I've exhausted my brain limits- the information is little and I need a bit of extra help understanding how to access these tweak settings!(or if you know of a mod that fixes this...!) I tried posting on Skyrim Mod Troubleshooting but I am not sure if that was the proper place to ask (as I am not sure if I need a mod or not, or where to ask about Wrye...). My apologies if that's the case (link to post) Thanks in advance. Cheers
  4. Hi It becomes a bit difficult to see your mods posted like that, perhaps it would be better if you posted them as a list. Of text. Do you use LOOT? LOOT helps you sort the loading order. Also, judging from your download and install dates, you seem to be adding a lot of mods at once. This is no good. Mods are better added one by one, playing the game for a while between each mod to tell if it causes problems. (Texture and mesh replacers are the least dangerous ones and its ok if you add a bunch of those together, but still...)
  5. Hi! I see a lot of performance-impacting mods on your list. I assume your computer has the capability to run the game with all these mods on. Mine sounds like and airplane when it hits rendering or script-heavy areas/moments, and it WOULD ctd after a few minutes in those conditions if I didn't pause the game like I do when I hear the turbo. On another note, I see you don't have the Bashed Patch. It may probably not be the fix you are looking for but Wrye Bash always helps making games run better. Do you remember when did you start having these CTDs? Which was the last mod you added before the ctds started? did they started happening after you completed a certain quest or acquired a particular item? etc. Tiny hints which may help.
  6. Hi! Well I don't see any version of the Unofficial Patches installed, which is kind of alarming considering the huge amount of mods you have installed. It may not be the fix you are looking for but there is a high chance it might help you prevent many, many crashes. I recommend the Legendary Unofficial Patch, which is a combined version of all the previous patches.
  7. Hi all, I used to play Oblivion, back in the day, and used Wrye Bash to organize my mods and whatnot. I was never an advanced user. Now I'm playing Skyrim and am using Wrye, as well (I got the 305 version, standalone). Things have changed a bit, too, but I didn't increase my understanding of Wrye too much. The issue is, I'm trying to remove the flickering of lights in the game, which is a feature that is apparently now included somewhere in Wrye's advanced tweaking. But I can't find this tweaking section. I tried reading the Readme and the advanced Readme, but I can't find my way around in Wrye either. The General Readme says, The Advanced Readme says, And that's what I'm after. If I understand things right, the tweaks should appear when I build the bashed patch. But when I do, I only get a window with a list on the left that says: When I select the TWEAK SETTINGS option, the menu on the right with the available tweak options has nothing about lighting. There are only 22 options, starting with ''actor strength encumbrance multiplier'' and ending with ''timescale''... I am confused. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? How do I access this golden pot of tweak options? After opening Wrye Bash, what should I do? Please, help me Obi Wan Kenobi... you're my only hope.
  8. I was using the last one, included in the SKSE. I never had the old firstborn version, this is my first and only skse I ever installed. To install enboost, I first followed the STEP guide. Then I started looking to the instructions provided on the nexus version, however, I didn't download any files as they are quite outdated.
  9. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18465/? Hi, Perhaps if you are willing to install and try this mod you may get some satisfaction out of that quest. I have not tired it myself (yet, I will once I create a new character) however its author, Arthmoor, is well known as one of the most experienced modders out there. This means the mod is quite reliable too. That being said... I am not sure if you can get the friendship of the Blades regardless, with the mod installed. Check the mod description and the comments. If you really, really need the potion, you can always add it via console command. EDIT: Cloverwolf just got there first... Now you know, it works. I provided the link. Cheers :)
  10. Ok! My testing: First I tried different values with the VideoMemory setting. I changed nothing else on the .ini. I am testing using the old skyrim.ini files, since I don't need ENBoost to play in ultralow (as the other 'clean' inis were set up for. I was running the game on medium-high without any problems until I got SFO; I'd rather get rid of SFO and not sacrifice quality). @10240: No difference in performance. @9216 (9GB): Same story. @2048: Same. I left 2048 as value, then changed EnableCompression to true: Same performance. Stuttering seemed to change, from short frequent stutters to less frequent stutters that lasted for longer (always at least one stutter per second). In and all, still obtrusive and annoying. I reverted EnableCompression to false, as I preferred the previous stuttering. Then I changed UseDeferredRendering and ExpandSystemMemory to true. Same fps performance, horrible stuttering though I can't honestly tell how much different it was from the EnableCompression=true type of stuttering. Perhaps there is not much I can do about it. I still have my weird graphic card driver which may be playing a role here, who knows. Anyway, I appreciate the help you offered, thanks! :D
  11. I also thought perhaps the full 12 GB ram was a bit too much... but since the step guide said vram+ram -2048, I placed that number... I will try the 9 GB I have as 'available'. Again, I didn't know the max was 10240. I'll try this value as well. Thanks for the suggestions, will post back once I'm done testing... :)
  12. That was my last configuration for the enblocal.ini, I suspect there is something so obviously wrong with those settings that will make everybody facepalm... oh well.
  13. How do I verify my game files via Steam? Do you mean I may have a corrupted download from Steam? I'll check out the ENB forums, I didn't think of that. Thanks for your help so far anyway, at least I know my problem is with ENBoost and not FloraOverhaul. I restored the old ini files, ran the game without ENBoost and it is still choppy and stuttery around the shack, but I feel it performs better this way (so I guess I'll just deal with it).
  14. I am back, after some testing around Meeko's shack. Before restoring the .dll, I thought, maybe it was a good point to make a test without any enboost, and try these new .ini files that my game generated. So I launched the game without ENBoost. I got no notice during the launch about ENB series, so I guess I did things right. My results: Although I can't see my fps, I feel it had better performance. Quality was low, but, oh well. Stuttering was reduced too.Closed game. I did some searching and apparently one can have both wrapper and injector files, as long as it is the wrapper running and not the injector. So I restored the .dll to my folder and launched the game, as you said. (I repeat just to make myself clear: I am now running the wrapper, not the injector. I still keep all files.). I got the notice saying enbseries was working, followed by the usual red notice saying this was the enboost only. Tested the game. I get slightly better results with the wrapper than with the injector, but, the stuttering is horrible and it is still below the 20 fps average. I get about 15fps. Now, quality is horrible, I even get stripes in my shadows. Because with these 'clean' ini files I got better results without any ENBoost so far, I believe there is either something I am doing really wrong with the ENBoost settings, OR, for some reason ENBoost and my computer just don't get along at all (similar to the Optimus issue perhaps, only I have a Radeon). I would be 90% certain the problem is I am setting the values in the enb's .ini wrong, but since I keep getting the current videoadapter Intel HD 4600, I don't know what to think.
  15. The injector instructions here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D50214%26preview%3D&pUp=1 say to delete the d3d9.dll file. I am scared of reinserting it and running the injector at the same time. If I reinsert the d3d9.dll file, would that automatically restore the Wrapper version? Of course I would not run the injector if thats the case. About recreating the inis, well... my game appears to be worse... I did gain a few fps on Meeko's shack (16-20), but I don't like the sound my computer is making. The quality is horrible, I suppose because the launcher resetted the quality to low. I am also noticing a LOT of stuttering- even in areas I have high fps. This didn't happen before like this... Any clues?
