Oblivion compared to Morrowind and Daggerfall was terrible... or perhaps just different, but not what I was looking for in a TES game.

Hist and moonsugar and skooma are the stand out psychoactives in TES
but there is also felldow and alcohol and tobacco

This is my thread about why Oblivion wasn't that great compared to Morrowind and Daggerfall.

I do have a question though, why do you hate it so much, other then bugs and the lack of updates its a ok game.

I don't even hate it, it's just not as good as Morrowind and Daggerfall and that is basically all I said...
It was NOT some raging dialogue about how much Oblivion sucks...

I'm looking for all plant related mods and I was hoping some people could suggest some?
Any ethnobotany mods would be great!
I'm also looking for mods which make the natural environment better and more realistic.

No explanation, they just banned me.
I even made another user name, I made no negative comments about Oblivion or anything with the new user named but they banned that one too.
I am now IP blocked from Bethesda forums.
I wouldn't post there... any forums that controls what people can say that much isn't something I want to be part of!

Ya I think I'm a pretty reasonable person... not only did they ban me, but they delete ALL (or atleast most) of my posts)..
and to not allow people to say a game sucks... that is crap (BS? can we cuss here?)?

Today in Morrowind I did the House Hlaalu quests as well as the Twin Lamps quests, freed 30+ slaves and all other slavery related quests.
I really enjoyed these and I'd like to know if there are any mods of expansions of this?
Seemed like an awesome idea that was underdeveloped.

Hlaalu, mainly because of the location of the stronghold and you get to do the Twin Lamps quests.

I like Oblivion ok, but it truly sucked compared to Daggerfall and Morrowind.
So I came here when they banned me.
I hope I can stick around.
If if remember correctly, if you post somehting like "Oblivion suck" it changes to "Oblivion is the best game ever" or something like that. It's quite funnyYa it does! How stupid is that?
I asked the mod if that was because so many people said oblivion sucked and he banned me...
Maybe you contact one of the admins to get re-banned?You mean unbanned?
I'd rather stay here if that is ok with you guys?

everything is in english except the descriptions on the back of the case... in which german seems to be the "first" language (as it's at the top).

You can tell what version you have by looking in the lower-left corner of the game’s main logo/options screen. “v.1.6.1820″ is what you need to see…

I order Morrowind GOTY from Amazon... they said it'd come with 4 disk... there was one.
It looks like the main label on the box (DVD box) is in German...
The disk says "English" version...
Should I send this back?
Could this mess me up if I'm downloading mods and such?

If you were going to build a PC specifically for playing TES games, what would it be?
I thinking of building an entire PC just for playing Morrowind (and other TES games, but mostly Morrowind).
Keep in mind that I know next to nothing about computers, so speak in layman terms please :)

I'm having some trouble with Morrowind GotY... but first.. what kind of mods should I consider?
Which one's MUST I get (in y'alls opinion)?
I want my player to play unarmored and fight hand-to-hand... so I'm installing the monk mod...
But what else?
Which patches? and what about this MGE I've heard of? Can y'all link me to the download?
Lastly... will everything run smoothly on Vista?

I study ethnobotany and entheogens and I can say from my real life studies that psychoactives play a large role in many (almost all) cultures around the world.
I'm glad to see them included in the TES world as it adds more depth to the world and makes it more realistic.
If they left psychoactives out... that'd be like leaving religion or philosophy out!
