  1. You should try Tale of two wastelands instead, it's a lot more stable than rfcw and there's a forum where you can find compatible mods for it (most are by default though). Off the top of my head you may have problems with nvec though, but i believe there's a compatibility patch for it and ttw.
  2. That did it, Thank you. Everything is working as it should now.
  3. I've been using an older version of Geck powerup i didn't even realize there was an udpated version. This seemed to fix my problem and the script is working as intended now, so thanks a lot for your help. One last thing i'm having issues with is the script i'm placing on a door doesnt activate the door afterwards like it's supposed to. Other than that everything is working great. Here's the script RFCWVertirbirdExteriorNV Is the door reference name, it seems to work as far as enabling and disabling everything it's supposed to, but it doesnt end up changing cells afterwards.
  4. All the references called in the script are marked persistent references in the cell window. I've tried testing the same script in terminal result script and it ends up breaking the result script and not disabling or enabling any of the references.
  5. Having a problem saving two scripts i need to attach to two seperate doors going into the vertibird. and I've run them through cipcis' script validator and they seem to check out, but i can't save them in geck for some reason. I've checked all the ref ID's and they seem to be correct, yet it's not letting me save them.
  6. Sorry i didn't get back to this sooner, geck stopped working and i ended up having to reinstall my game. I've just tried testing what you suggested and it's still crashing for some reason. I may try scripting in a different method where it just disables the original door to the vertibird and enables the one to the destination, going to test that out in a little bit since this still isn't working.
  7. Could even name it prim and proper, practically writes itself.
  8. Just tested it a bit, and seems to be crashing even if i use forceterminalback. It actually is in a submenu, but I've tried adding forceterminalback twice, and making a test option in the first terminal screen to see if that was the issue but it still seems to be crashing no matter what. player.moveto RFCWOutcastVertibirdDC is saying that it's not a recognized reference when i test it in console as well, but i'm not sure if that's normal or not.
  9. Thank you, that seemed to work as far as getting the script to play but the game seems to be freezing when it tries to teleport the player into the next cell. I've placed an xmarkerheading and given it the referenceid RFCWVertibirdInteriorNV in the cell i wanted the player to teleport to. Should i try a regular xmarker or is there a better method to teleport the player? Edit: The cell loads fine if i use coc and only seems to be freezing when i use the script to teleport there.
  10. I'm not sure what i did wrong with this script so maybe someone can help me out. I'm trying to have this script fire through the result script in a terminal and teleport the player to a different cell, but nothing ends up happening and the terminal becomes unusable when i escape out of it. Here's the script Not sure if i did something horribly wrong or what, any help would be appreciated.
  11. I'm trying to convert a video file i made for my mod in sony vegas to .bik format, but every time i do i end up with a very low quality video with very glitchy sound that cuts out almost immediately. I was wondering if anyone had any experience converting a video to .bik format using http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm what formats i should be compressing my video as in sony vegas studio, and what options i should select when i want to convert it into a .bik file.
  12. Thanks! Going to be skippable by pressing the escape key, hopefully like the intro in new vegas, so it shouldn't be too much of a bother if you don't want to wait every time you travel.
  13. I kind of hit a brick wall learning scripting for my travel point mod for RCFW ( http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=44950 ) but managed to make some progress in other areas, like learning Sony Vegas Pro. Here's the result: This is my first render of the video i'm going to have play after activating the vertibird controls to travel between the dc/vegas wastelands, i'd appreciate any feedback about the video because i'm sure there's a lot of ways i could improve it. For instance i'm not sure if i should keep the pictures that pop up as you fly near cities. I still need to render the return trip, as well as record a clip of a vertibird taking off from both places, which hopefully won't be too difficult. Hope is to add this to my mod as an optional file when i can get some scripts in. Right now I've made an interior for the vertibird and wasn't sure what the best method would be to transition to a new cell. Thoughts were to either create two separate vertibird cells for each destination and teleport the player via script, or only one switch the door markers in the script. I also have loads of other scripting questions if anyone is willing to help. Edit: Re-rendered it without the concept art, tell me which one you think is better.
