  1. While Abby responded with a mouthful of food, Llhunarra didn't bother to waste time talking. Instead she just nods her agreement before stuffing another handful of food into her mouth. The meal was quite delicious and the rogue had no intention of busying herself with anything but eating until the food was gone. Not using any of the delicacy or manners that Rameses displayed, the napkin sitting beside her plate went untouched for the entirety of the meal. Even when the redhead was finished with her food she turned to licking her fingers clean before finally using the napkin if only to dry them. Now that had been worth it, thank the gods they had stopped for the night...well, thank Rhaine anyway. Shoving her plate away, she turns in her stool to once again observe the rest of the tavern. Leaning against the bar so that the two could continue their conversation around her, her hand reaches back for the wine glass she had ordered first. Despite not being able to see the container, she grabs it with ease, a practiced motion no doubt. Sipping the soothing drink, her eyes drift to the two newest individuals. Their clothing and makeup stood out, that was for sure, the whole get up reminding the rogue of a group of woman she knew back home. The style was different, but such peacocking was usually the telltale sign of a very particular profession. Amused as one not so subtly targets Azuris, she settles in to enjoy the show.
  2. "I couldn't have said it better myself." Llhunarra comments to the halfling with a smile. Offering her glass up for a gentle tap against the girls stein, she could toast to this sort of life all night...or for at least as long as she possessed the motor skills to do so. Sipping away at the warming wine, the rogue did not have to wait long before a knock on the countertop came from behind her. With a spin she turns to face the plate set before her, it's toppings similar to what Rhaine and eventually Rameses would receive. Seeing no utensils the rogue would only hesitate long enough to shrug, caring little for the cleanliness of her hands when a hot meal was at stake. If they really were going to be setting off to sea, she was going to stuff herself for as long as her feet remained on solid ground. Once they were upon the rocking waves it didn't matter how good of a cook Shalena might have on the vessel, for everything the thief might eat....was going to end up over the side. Hopefully there would be a place along the rail she could take up residence, she would hate to make more work for the crew on the lower decks...mopping was never fun. Content to remain at her spot along the bar, Llhunarra would set to eating, fingers soon dripping with the gravy like sauce atop the pork. Eating without much regard for manners, the redhead would have fit right in had she been born among one of the mountain tribes that dotted Faerun.
  3. The redhead had no issues with calling it a day. After recent events, a nice night in an inn would no doubt be welcomed by more than just the bar happy half-elf. Trotting over to the establishment with the rest, Llhunarra was more than a little excited to exchange the grabby children with wenches and a bar tender. Children always wanted something, while bar tenders were almost always willing to give you something…if you had the coin at least. Sliding off her horse, she drops lightly to the ground before heading inside, the large main room brining a smile to her fair features. Wasting no time at all she heads for the bar, guiding herself onto the closest stool before giving the tender a wave. She had plenty of alcohol left in the flask at her waist, but why go through that when the counter behind the bar was stocked full? Best to save her own drink for when she was relaxing in her room…hopefully in a nice bath. Taking it somewhat easy this night she orders a glass of dark red wine, not caring for what make or from where, she was pleased just the same when taking her first sip a few minutes later. So soothing and warm, the perfect thing to settle the nerves. Next came food, Llhunarra again having little preference besides the very important detail that it be warm. Drink in hand, order for food sent back to the kitchen, the rogue was settling in for a good night. Turning in her stool to face the better part of the room, she throws her right leg over her left as she leans back into the bar. Sipping her wine once more she wondered how the others were settling in, feeling this was something all of them could use.
  4. "I don't think we have officially met, my name is..." The end of the statement cut off as children came flooding into the street. With the miniature humans filling in around the group, Llhunarra was thankful that for once the horde coming at them was not out for blood. Instead the children were looking for whatever they could reach, groping and petting the various mounts the group possessed and one even going as far to pluck one of Rhaine's feathers. Next to her there was a bit of fascination with the exotic mount that Rameses rode. She had spent more than a couple moments looking it over when he had arrived, it's strange appearance almost as intriguing as the Genasi's. Around her the children ran their hands gentle along the sides of her horse, the animal surprising relaxed at the sudden onslaught. A couple had their hands on her legs, feeling along the leather armor that adorned them. She didn't mind, they seemed happy and weren't causing any harm to mount or rider. Their attention on the mounts left the redhead free to carry on her conversation. "Perhaps they can be our tiny escorts to wherever the stables may be? Oh and as I was saying, my name is...ahhh!" The half-elfs head snapping back for a moment as she lets out a startled cry. Apparently, with her head turned to look at him, one of her thick braids had drawn the attention of a slightly taller child. Perhaps the thick collection of hair had looked like a rope, the boy having managed to grab a hold of it and give it a tug. Of course as soon as the female let out the small cry, he had released his grip so no serious damage was done. What was the obsession with boys and pulling a girl's hair? Turning she shoes him away, a hand reaching to rub at the back of her head.
  5. The following moving Llhunarra actually woke up without a slight hangover. Strangely enough such a state allowed her to rise with the rest of the group, the redhead partaking in breakfast and even offering to help clean up. Sleep did the body good, the rogues emotions having balanced back out after a night of rest. Making small talk as they all prepared to set out, she was sure to check on those that had been injured the night before. Unlike others in the group she did so quietly, glances as she passed and watching from afar telling her all she needed to know. As bad as the attack at been...it could have been worse. Thankfully their time spent traveling was without incident, Llhunarra glad for the down time. She had been told they were heading towards a town and more often than not such places proved...eventful. It was almost as if a gathering of sentient beings always led to the development of problems, one way or another. Strange really...a grouping of rabbits didn't fight and steal from each other, yet you start grouping humanoids and both were likely to crop up. Of course Llhunarra often fell into the second act, but that was besides the point, this wasn't about her, it was about...everyone else. When they made their way into town, eyes immediately fell on them. It was understandable as a party this large was quite uncommon in most places, save traveling caravans and the like. Some of those staring seemed to be doing so out of desire, the half-elf following the gazes of two women to Wayland and Azuris...she didn't get it. Perhaps her love for alcohol clouded her perception. Other eyes fell on the Genasi, his appearance one of the most striking in the group if not only for its uniqueness. She couldn't blame them for looking, she had not been the most polite when he had joined up either, but some showed more than curiosity. It was unfair to be so weary of him when they knew nothing about him. Llhunarra was comfortable around him and she knew as little as they did about the male. Trotting up alongside him she flashes a smile. "You seem to have drawn attention to yourself, perhaps it's the camel?"
  6. The singing caught her completely off guard. Usually a relatively cheerful girl, Llhunarra was never short on smiles or against having a good time, but this hardly seemed the place. A little shocked, she was thankfully saved from having to tell the little one how inappropriate that was. Glancing at the group one more time, she cuts around him and continues on her way into the trees. Once out of sight she quickens her pace, light frame easily breaking into a job and then into a run. The rogue was not of the forest, but that didn't mean she didn't know how to move in it. She just needed to be away from them, put space between herself and the others as they tended to their wounded friends. With several hundred yards of trees soon behind her and her heart pounding she starts to slow. The only thing she could hear was the thumping in her chest, the rapid beating of her heart filling her ears. Trying to steady herself she presses back against a large oak, the solid wood helping to keep her up as she attempts to catch her breath. Looking at the trees around her, she had no idea which way she might head to find the nearest town or village. Not much of a true adventurer she had never traveled this far from her home and most certainly never found herself in these sort of situations. Lifting gems and trinkets was an adrenaline rush, there was no doubt, but all of this was just...terrifying. The whole lot of them were far more skilled than she and yet they had suffered grievous injuries. What would she have done if in their place? Would she even still draw breath? This was no place for her, she was a thief when it came down to it, not a fighter. Pushing off from the tree she begins to walk, moving farther from the camp. After several steps though she stops. She wasn't even a thief...she was a coward. Even when not spoken the word tasted bitter, felt wrong, but if she were to walk away now...it was the truth. No one had forced her to come, she had volunteered to repay the kindness the group had shown even if she had no idea what she was getting into. This foe they looked to find, this monster, she would be of little help against him, she knew that now. Yet, as thoughts of him arose so too did thoughts of the poor girl that they had captured. All of the freedom in her life had been taken by this man and then even as Rhaine had attempted to set things right, she was still forced to do as she was told. It was all his fault. Llhunarra had approached Rhaine on the matter, to voice her disagreement with the decision, but now she was the one walking away. If they truly planned to stop this creature how could she turn her back on them? Might more suffer cruel fates under his whim, they would. Taking in a deep breath, the redhead takes another step, but this time in the direction of camp. She was a coward, that was true, but she was not about to allow herself to be a hypocrite as well. Heading back towards the rest she adopted a steady pace, hoping they would believe she simply been checking the perimeter. For the rest of the night she would stay to herself, eventually nodding off near the fire.
  7. Sitting near the fire, half aware of what was even going on around her, Llhunarra had been slow to react to all the commotion outside of camp. At first she had been lost in a state of confusion, fuzzy mind attempting to pinpoint exactly where the sound was coming from. When she had figured it out the redhead had made no rush to assist, confident in those that had been patrolling the perimeter of the camp. If they couldn't handle whatever creature had stumbled out from the forest, then what help was she going to be? Combat wasn't really her forte and based on previous experiences with the group, she was of little use. About to gaze back into the flames dancing before her, the rogues eyes would instead widen at the sound of an explosion. That hadn't sounded good...no matter who had caused it. Scrambling to her feet, scooping her belt off the ground, she moves in the direction of all the commotion. The last to arrive on the scene, her slight buzz evaporated when she saw the aftermath of whatever spell had devastated the area...and several of her companions. Weyland was in the worst shape, his fur blackened and his armor in pieces, this the first time she had gotten a good look at him in his altered form. Marie seemed to have lost her sight, the healing soon bestowed on her doing little to return it. Others were injured as well, and on top of it there was no fallen enemy in sight. Whoever had done this had escaped. Swallowing some, Llhunarra was unsure what to do. She could not heal nor find words that would be of any help...she was useless. Glancing to the woods she then looks back to those gathered. Before she even realized it she was moving away from the group, silent footsteps carrying her past the treeline.
  8. The next morning, after staggering back to her own room, Llhunarra awoke to the sound of people moving about the hall. Why did they need to get up so early? Pulling a fluffy pillow over her face for a moment the rogue contemplates suffocation instead of forcing herself to rise. The allure of more sleep was indeed tempting, but hours missed might mean she was left alone in the inn. While having become casual friends with a few of the group she figured that if she was missing, no one would even notice. Rolling over to the edge of the bed her bare feet press to the cool wooden floorboards. Yawning she thinks back to the night before, the foggy conversation she remember having with Rhaine playing over in her head...minus the parts she just couldn't remember. Still, missing sentences included, the overall discussion had been beneficial to the red head. Deep down the whole decision still felt unnatural, but she saw the intent behind it. One couldn't protect their allies while letting a threat run around for a chance at redemption. Llhunarra was glad she had no role similar to the Chosen's, she couldn't make decisions like that. Eventually getting dressed and gathering her things she drags herself downstairs. Rhaine had already begun addressing everyone and although she had missed the details, she overheard the mention a ship. Swallowing some as the conversation continued she looked to Shalena, the piratess seeming perfectly comfortable with the topic. Made sense...but that didn't mean Llhunarra had to like it. Propping herself against the wall, she listens. Having nothing to say about ships and the ocean, nothing positive that is, she doesn't interrupt.
  9. My first collab with Auri is up! (Side note: Rhaine is scary!)
  10. Having trotted into town with the rest of them, Llhunarra couldn’t have chosen a better place to hold up for the night than the tavern. Once inside the redhead immediately made her way to the counter, only asking for a glass so that she may fill it with the lovely brew from her own flask. The bartender gave her an odd look at first, most likely not pleased she had brought her own drink in with her. Still it seemed he couldn’t resist the smile she gave him, or maybe it was just the amount of other customers that came in with her. Rounds being covered for all that had entered; it seemed his pockets would be lined with coin before the end of the night. Staying to herself for the better part of the night, the rogue enjoyed her seat near the wall. Back against it she crossed one leg over the other as she watched the others attempt to relax after all they had been through. Surprisingly Zorica, who often seemed quite controlled, seemed to be indulging in a little more alcohol than she should. Of course Llhunarra was never one to cut someone off; she knew how frustrating such treatment could be, so she just watched with a small smile. There was probably a reason behind it, but the half-elf could only guess at what it might be. Downing more than a couple drinks herself, she often let her eyes wander over to Rhaine. What interested her was not the man she was talking to or even the fact she left her meal untouched, but a decision the woman had recently made. When the Chosen took her leave of the room Llhunarra was tempted to follow…but wasn’t quite courageous enough yet. More alcohol flowed, the redhead gradually building up the confidence to hop from her stool and head in the same direction Rhaine had. Direction from a member of the staff pointed her towards the right room, the tipsy female moving up to the door. Taking a deep breath she lifts her left hand to knock, right hand lifting to bring her flask to her lips. She could do this. Rhaine had not yet bothered to change out of her armor and had spread her map over the small table underneath the window on the far wall. She was deep in thought, studying what possible routes they could take, when she heard the knock on her door. Frowning, she glanced up at the doorway and replied loudly, "Come in." The loud invitation had her flinching slightly, but still she took the handle to the door and shoved it open. Seeing the woman still in her armor made her all the more intimidating, the rogue doing her best to straighten as she enters. “Sorry to bother you, but…do you have a moment?” Llhunarra slowly sauntering over towards the table, she glances at the map mostly so that she didn’t have to make eye contact with the Chosen. Rhaine was a bit suprised to see Llhunarra at her door, but she gave the rogue a small smile in greeting, "Of course...what do you need?" “Well…” The red head pausing so that she could take another sip from the near empty flask in her hand. Although she was drunk, she had learned to function a little better than most in the state…practice did make perfect. “…I wanted to talk to you…about that woman that we had captured the other…errr…that Amendale and Argyros had captured.” Rhaine frowned, wiping a lock of scarlet hair out of her face from where she had bent over the table. She knew that this would come up sooner or later, and that knowledge made her answer short, "Yes? What about it?" The tone had her hesitating again, index finger of her left hand running along a river on the map spread across the table. For a moment she contemplating just apologizing and leaving, but her conscious just wouldn’t let her commit to fleeing. Time to attempt being blunt. “That geas you put on her…do you really think that was…the just thing to do?” Forcing herself, Llhunarra looks up, her soft eyes meeting Rhaine’s. Rhaine held Lhunarra's stare for several moments, her expression unchanging, before finally answering, "Yes. I do. Why? Have you come to question my judgment?" Swallowing some Llhunarra holds the eye contact. “Not question…discuss. I am not trying to be disrespectful…and I know I am not a trusted member of the group, but…who are we to force such a thing on someone?” Rhaine's brow furrowed, "You did not make the decision. I did. And thus, the responsibility for it lies with me alone. She could not be trusted to come with us, nor to be let go. Nor could we justify slaying her on the spot. And so, I took the opportunity to try and reverse some of the damage she and her former master had wrought...as I knew she was fully capable of doing so. I also knew..." she added after a moment, "that as a druid, she should have no moral issues with the tasks that I gave her. And so what she is doing is not outside of her nature." She paused for a breath or two, and then continued, "And if you must know, Elaril was not only responsible for many deaths at Menarses's dwelling, as she told us, but also for single-handedly attempting to drown the entirety of Westgate with a hurricane she conjured...so believe me when I say that she has some penance to serve." It was true Llhunarra didn’t know much about the woman, beyond what she had shared of course, but forcing someone along a path was…still unnatural to the rogue. “I am sure she deserved some sort of punishment for what she had done…but your spell forced her to carry out the assigned task did it not? To take away someone’s freewill…is that…a decision made so quickly?” Just because the decision had been made quickly did not mean it had been made without care, but for the freedom loving rogue the lack of discussion on the matter implied inadequate thought. The Doomguide took in a breath, lips pressed tightly together, "When it means the safety of my companions and the Realms, then yes, it is." That was hard for her to argue against, she didn’t want anyone in the group getting hurt or worse. Lifting up her flask she takes what was the last sip of her flask, nothing left. “I can understand that…” Her sentence trailing off as she starts to falter, chewing on her lower lip. “…but…was there no better alternative?” Rhaine smirked, "If you were in my shoes, what would you have done?" “Ummm…I am not sure…perhaps try and convince her to redeem herself of her own free will?” Chewing at her lip again Llhunarra leans against the table, her statement showing how naive she truly was or perhaps it was just innocence. Cocking her head sideways in amusement, the Doomguide replied, "Really? You would be willing to take a gamble that she would be so easy to convince? Or that she would be telling the truth if she supposedly agreed to do so?" “Couldn’t we have tried? I mean…are you certain there was no chance left within her?” Not experienced with magic or having full knowledge of the woman’s full past she couldn’t believe there was no chance at saving her soul. Rhaine sighed heavily, "Llhunarra...have you thought of the fact that Elaril had just been under the control of a truly evil madman and could quite possible come under his control again? The geas, in a strange sort of way, even though it takes away her free will, protects her from him. He cannot counter it with his own will, and if he tries to impede her by capture or by some other means..." she paused, "She will die. And by her death, she will remain out of his control. Call it a twisted means of protection, if you will. But this way, everyone is safer, including her." She hadn’t thought of it like that…not at all actually. Perhaps it was the lesser of two evils? The redhead valued her own freedom so much she would never want to be under such a thing nor wish it on another, but she supposed it was better than full mind control. “No…I hadn’t thought of that…I am not that experienced with magic and the like.” Feeling as if her whole purpose for talking to the Chosen was a mute point she was a little embarrassed for coming to her room to bother her about it…even if it felt batter to have it off her chest. “…I am sorry, I only saw the action…not the full intention behind it.” Rhaine sighed again, "I know...it is likely not much reassurance, but I will say that I have never cast such a spell before, and I do not intend to do so again for any frivolous reason. I would be a liar to say that placing that geas did not bother me. But I cannot let it plague my thoughts. I can only assure myself that it was the best course of action at the time, pray that it was the right thing to do, and leave the rest to fate." Rhaine admitting that the geas bothered her as well did more to quiet the half-elf’s unease than the other redhead might have realized. “That is…reassuring. I did not come looking to offend; I was just uncomfortable with the decision…” Feeling even more awkward now she fumbles with a clasp on her belt, thinking she had made a fool of herself in front of one as gifted as the Chosen before her. The Doomguide smiled gently, "I think anyone who was not uncomfortable with such a decision would have no conscience." She waited a few moments in silence before adding, "Now. Is there something else?" “No…I don’t think so…sorry.” The rogue trying to offer a small smile to smooth things over with the woman, knowing she had plenty on her plate as the leader of the ever expanding group. Being bothered after such a long day of travel was probably the last thing she wanted. Rhaine nodded, "Very well. I bid you goodnight. I trust you can make it to your room safely?" She gestured to the empty flask the rogue held. Smirking some at the question Llhunarra was quick to nod. “I can do so just fine and forgive me for not offering to share…wasn’t much left by the time I came knocking.” Realizing she had overstayed her welcome she gives a slight, awkward bow before heading towards the door. With the table no longer supporting her she did wobble a little, but had enough sense to keep her balance…for the most part.
  11. Now people were literally falling from the sky? Lllhunarra didn’t know what was happening. If she had known any better she might have realized fate was bringing all these people together, but she simply wasn’t that deep of a woman. It all seemed luck to here…or perhaps bad luck depending on who you asked. Having not really greeted the Genasi, she doesn’t move to greet the newest arrivals either. She was a friendly girl, but they seemed caught up in conversation already and she didn’t really have anything to say besides hello so best to stay aside. Too much attention was always a bad thing. Instead Llhunarra angles her horse to cut through the group a little, heading towards Shalena. With the piratess watching the newcomers she pulls up alongside her. Hearing the comment she smirks a little. “The most interesting sort of people, right?” Referring to herself since she had come across the group in very similar fashion, minus the whole falling out of the sky part. Giving the female a nudge with her elbow just to show she was joking around, the rogue glances one more time to the newcomers before turning her attention fully to the redhead. “Think we should start putting a limit on the group’s size? Maybe have some sort of trial or test they need to go through? Oh, I know! We could make them pay a fee to join!” Llhunarra grinning wide at that one, thinking it the perfect idea for new members…for all those after her of course.
  12. Riding along with the group once they set out the redhead was soon back to her casual demeanor, now fully awake. Random conversations starting just as quickly as they end she was glad for what appeared to be a simple day compared to recent ones. Having been about to move her horse over to Sybille, the commotion of the approaching stranger draws her attention. How odd it was to find someone traveling on their own in such wilderness and in need of water. The fact they had come across him was as unlikely as meeting a half-elf sweating in the blazing sun and in need of refreshment...wait, that had already happened. More familiar now with how friendly the group often was the invitation to travel with them was expected. Having no complaint to offer of her own the rogue might have come off as a bit rude though, openly staring at the strange male and his not so common mount. Sure she had seen both before, yet together the combination was even odder. Saying nothing to him, Llhunarra only offers her usual smile in greeting, the Genasi already being bombarded with questions.
  13. Llhunarra hung back as she normally did. Feeling equal remorse for those fallen she still strove to stay out of the way when she could. Honestly, she wasn't even sure if she could offer anything to the group. While her combat skills were not that of a novice, she had dispatched one vampire with some assistance, she was no weapon master or heroic champion. Most of her skills lay in those arts considering less savory to many such as theft and stealth. Lacking the skills for proper scouting in places other than an urban setting, she wasn't even qualified to take point is the areas they had visited thus far. Perhaps at some point they would need someone with vast knowledge on grades of alcohol or someone to best a foe in a tavern game? Highly unlikely. As useless as she felt the rogue was not going to abandon them, she had given her word to assist. Staying out of the way and not causing any trouble were her main objectives for the most part, yet she couldn't help the way her brow furrowed as the interrogation progressed. A big believer in freedom, and unaware of all this elf had done, Llhunarra was not at all pleased with Rhaine's spell. Magical bonds were no better than physical ones, perhaps worse in many aspects. Cherishing her freedom, the rogue would never have submitted to any spell on her, death would award more freedom than such a thing. Eyes on the winged redhead she silently promised to speak with her on the decision...but not just yet. Considering all that had happened she would allow a small window which would also provide her with time for some liquid courage, the armored female was a bit intimidating. Her sour mood on the subject did not transfer to Zorica as she passed. Smirking as well the red head lifts her flask in a toast to the statement before mumbling under her breath. "I make sure to keep it handy and men at a distance." Having had a partner or two in the past she had decided that a strong drink was often a better companion than the opposite sex. A drink couldn't be foolish or an ass and she had yet to meet a spirit that displeased her. Letting things be she focuses on her drink and the warmth of the fire, it had been a long day. Later that night, when Rhaine and Weyland were talking one more did remain outside of a tent, not that she took part in or heard any of their conversation. Curled up on her bedroll, always sleeping under the stars, Llhunarra was sound asleep. Behind another log that had been a bench she went unnoticed and unheard. The days events and the amount of alcohol she had consumed helped her find sleep rather easily. Not until the sun was up and people were moving about did she wake. Confusion quickly found the groggy half elf as members of the group prepared to defend against....a giant cat? Shaking her head in an attempt to bring about her senses the redhead soon found it not needed...thank the gods. Rising a few moments later and trying to roll up her bed roll was difficult enough. Like the others she set to preparing her things to travel, her minimal possessions a godsend this morning.
  14. The whole group seemed to move past their death of their friend much smoother than Llhunarra had anticipated. It was not that they didn’t care for those that had fallen, the passion and the anger in their voices clearly showing that the wrong was not to be taken lately. Yet, they moved on as they knew they had to. Rhaine was at the head of this progressing, openly stating that they couldn’t let this hinder them in the pursuit of their goals. Even if she didn’t trust the winged redhead the rogue had to admit she admired the woman’s strengths, both physical and emotional. Not having known the lost individuals as well as the rest, she had still been shocked to see the brutality of their deaths. Rhaine would not let it get to her, the half-elf understanding why she had to keep the group focused. Soon they were on the road, bodies buried and laid to rest before they set out. After this day Llhunarra was quick to sip at her flask as they rode, the container not leaving her hand as they stopped to break camp. Having no tent to set up of her own she assisted in gathering wood for the fire before settling down next to Shalena. The piratess made her feel the most comfortable out of the group, her usually relaxed demeanor closest to that of her own. With another drink of her special mixture, already feeling the familiar tingle as it mixed with her bloodstream she was about to strike up conversation when their foes pursuers returned, and they were not alone. The question that Shalena proposed felt like a valid one to Llhunarra. Would someone that is under the control of another be able to divulge information even if they wanted to? Looking to the piratess with a skeptical glance she lets the expression linger a moment before returning her attention back to the captive.
  15. When the group got moving again the half-elf was plenty pleased that the secondary exit was so readily available. Mood brightening along with the shift in natural light Llhunarra was glad to be outside. She had always appreciated nature and the outdoors, the natural world full of wonders. To top it all off there were no hungry undead vampires trying to drain her, always a plus in her mind. Humming some as they traveled back towards their point of entry the redhead had no idea that a much more devious foe was ahead of them, one far worse than the dozen vampires they had a recently dispatched. When they came upon the area where they had left their mounts and few companions the rogues first reaction was to lift a hand over her mouth, muffling her gasp in response to what she saw. The area itself was decimated, the effects of a powerful magic burst evident to even her. Heidi lay dead and burnt, the small girl having been dispatched from the world in brutal fashion. It seems so recent that she had offered her wares in exchange for Llhunarra's coin, the females outgoing personality not having cared that the rogue had just been met, still overwhelmed by the party she was to travel with. Hazel, an apparent old friend of the group was no where to be seen, had she been reduced to ash? Who would have done this to such good natured creatures? The second question was answered from above, everyone's eyes drawn upward to the speaker. Llhunarra had no idea who he was, but even so she felt his presence was just...wrong. She did recognize the head thrown to the ground though, the merchant the same one who had given them shelter for so long. She held no love for the man yet that did not mean he was deserving of death, perhaps just a good slap to keep him in line. Weapons drawn and prepared to engage the best she could, she was surprised when the man soars off. It seemed this was all to be some sort of message for Rhaine, his words directed at her above all else. With Amendale launching into the air she found herself of no help...eyes drifting back to the lifeless corpse of Heidi.
  16. With everything settling down most of the group turned their focus to injuries or the stranger that had been lingering amongst the shadows. Llhunarra on the other hand was more focused on the gore that still clung to her face and hair. Wrestling a piece of cloth from her pack she starts to wipe it from her face, pulling at the bits of flesh and muscle embedded in her hair. So disgusted with it the rogue contemplated if she had made the right choice…perhaps next time she would let someone else finish off the creature to save her from such a nasty fate. She figured she wasn’t lucky enough that another waterfall cut through the cave somewhere or perhaps existed at where ever they happened to exit. Such a flow of fresh water would be a godsend. Cleaning herself the best she can, Llhunarra finally tucks the cloth away. Looking up to see the staff bearer before them she silently curses, apparently having missed his name. There were already so any people in the group that she was uncertain of their names, often confusing them perhaps it was best she hadn’t heard his. He seemed to be friend, but that didn’t mean he would be travelling with them going forward and if he did…well she could just address him as Mister. (Sorry, been sick. L )
  17. Darkness overtaking the edges of her vision Llhunarra jerked in the hold as the vampire held her aloft with tireless strength. A lean girl, the half-elf had plenty of fight in her muscles and was normally not so easy target to restrain, but the supernatural strength of her foe didn’t waver in the slightest as its grip remained tight. Mouth open in a useless attempt to draw air into her lungs she knew she was in trouble, her kicking starting to slow as the lack of oxygen began to take more of a toll on her. Attacking head on had been foolish, she should have known better and hung back until an opportunity presented itself. These fools were rubbing off on her, the way others had come to her aid so willingly in the first skirmish making her feel indebted to act the same. The life saving assistance was not lacking in this encounter either. Not having a bow of her own the rogue was still familiar with such a weapon, the sickening thud she heard the tell tale sound of an arrow digging into flesh and muscle. Glancing down she saw the projectile sticking from her foe as its strength all but disappeared. Wiggling in its grasp she manages to drop free, landing on shaking legs. Maintaining her balance she glances over to see Marie nocking another arrow. Blinking as if unsure what the female was saying she looks back to the vampire before her. Remembering how others disposed of them the last time she swings with both her arms, blades crossing at the vampire’s neck. The crossing weapons removed its head with more ease than she expected, her adrenaline no doubt having poured extra strength into her strikes. A smile began to form on her face…until the gore from beheading the monster splashed across it. Eyes widening in disgust, the red head staggers backwards, sputtering and shaking her head as she does. Dark blood had splattered across her face and in her hair, some even down across her chest. Having taken few lives in her time, none in such gruesome fashion, the half-elf hoped she never had to do so again mainly for the filth that now covered her. Spitting, for some had even gotten in past her lips, she curses. Even with how nasty the splattered blood across her face was she knew there were more important issues to focus on. Glancing up she saw so many others engaged around her, the numerous vampires having the party pressed. How would they get out of this? No sooner had the thought crossed her mind did the cavern explode with light and sound Two sources of bright light filled the cavern, Llhunarra forced to squint her eyes as the sudden intense rays did not mix well with the vision enhancing potion she had taken earlier. With light filling her eyes a roar soon fills her ears as it echoes off the cave walls, the red head having no idea what beast it might have emanated from. Thankfully it would turn out to be an ally, but for the moment Llhunarra staggered backwards until her back hit a stalagmite, leaning it against it until her vision cleared.
  18. "Oh how disappointing that would be." Was the short response to the piratess before the group set off again. Lingering near Shalena as the party went deeper, the half-elf found her eyes growing wider with each passing chamber. The wealth hidden her was far beyond what she had expected for such a place, countless gems and beautiful jewelry glittering along the tombs walls and patrons. Yet, for all her desire to pluck some of the trinkets from their resting places Llhunarra found her hands more concerned with holding her blades. Treasure and riches were always in the back of her mind, but living was paramount. No amount of gold would comfort her if her soul passed on to another realm...unless she could somehow buy her way back. Well aware of deities that so many worshiped, the redhead had never found comfort in them. Perhaps that was why Rhaine unsettled her, even more so now that her Chosen status was known. When they arrived at the final chamber it was as disappointing as it was confusing to the rogue, housing nothing but a ruined cage. Clicking her tongue as her potion enhanced eyes scanned the room she soon confirmed it was devoid of treasure, but not of inhabitants. No sooner had their pathway back been obliterated, again by the dragon that seemed to be no friend to enclosed spaces, a voice spoke from the darkness. Figures emerged around them, ones that were all too familiar and double in number compared to their first encounter. How was it she had been with this group for such a short time and had already crossed more vampires in the last hour than in the rest of her life? (Of course if one were to know more about her they would know that previous number was 0, but still!) These guys were definitely an unlucky lot. Hearing Shalena pipe up Llhunarra smirks. "I listen." The words followed by a quick flick of her tongue. Only trying to lighten their dire situation, her attempt is obliterated as a scream rips through the cavern. Off to the side Imhiros disappears over the edge. He had joined up with the group as she had...and just like that he was gone. The fact was a sobering one as the rest of the vampires pounced. Still near the piratess, Llhunarra decides it best to use what numbers they had to their advantage. With so many foes in the enclosed space it was not a surprise one emerged near them, the creatures having spread out to better encircle the group. Having no real choice she moves to engage, more comfortable as she had a better gauge of the creatures speed and strength. Moving slightly past Shalena, the vampires attention was fully draw, it's vicious smile widening as it swung towards her with a clawed hand. Not having the strength to adequately block such blows Llhunarra shifts to the side, letting the swipe miss. Having planned to send in her own counter she isn't afforded the luxury as the creature uses its momentum to drop down and snap a leg out towards her feet. Forced to hop over the kick her right hand sends in a return strike, blade dragging across the undead elf's shoulder. Unphased by such a slash it does not retreat in the slightest, instead completing it's spin and lunging a second time. Again twisting to the side of the strike Llhunarra lifts her blade to bring it down on the vampires head, but that was exactly what it had intended. The second clawed hand snaps up to catch the elf's as the elbow, holding it aloft before sending in a punch to the rogues stomach. Feeling the air forced from her lungs she cannot help but stagger a step, the moment of weakness costing her as the fist that had connected with her stomach slides up to clutch her slender throat. With ease the vampire lifts the half-elf off her feet. Gagging as the hand gripping her neck tightens she struggles to break free of the monster's clutches. Not able to draw breath and with one arm immobilized she strikes with the other, blade stabbing down into the vampires shoulder. It barely seemed to notice.
  19. With her daggers doing little to deter the undead monster Llhunarra was at bit of a loss. Well, not really, more like hesitant to run into combat regardless of the vampire advancing towards the human. With all but one of her blades thrown she still had no desires to engage the creature in combat. Thankfully the decision would be made for her as the ever impressive Sybille seemed to have plenty of stamina left. Disposing of the creature with one of the traps set further down the tunnel was quite brilliant and entertaining all in one swoop, the redhead not able to keep a grin from her face. As the larger warrioress yelled out the rogue was quick to get to work on retrieving her thrown weapons. Her vampire target had done well enough to smack two aside, both of which had skittered across the cave floor while the rest were stuck within its body. Carefully making her way to the somewhat pincushion of a creature she manages to pluck all of the throwing daggers from his lifeless body…wait…hadn’t he been lifeless to start? Llhunarra had to wonder if killing an undead creature was actually killing it since it had already been killed. Putting too much more thought into the answer was going to give her a headache so like most things she just lets it go. Sliding the last of her small daggers into their respective holsters on her hips she scampers back over towards Shalena. The piratess had been the original target she had risen to help before Sybille had come barreling in. Having heard the female’s comment she steps in close, dropping her voice to a whisper. “Large enough to be annoying it seems, but doesn’t that mean it can hold that much more loot?” Giving the half-drow a nudge with her elbow as a smirk curls across her lips. Rhaine had of course told them all nothing was to be taken, but she had also warned them all to be prepared and look who it was that had been the first to be caught off guard by the vampires. If the Chosen didn’t have to follow her own rules, why did Llhunarra?
  20. Rolling to try and get back to her feet Llhunarra was ready to rush to Shalena’s aid if she had to, but there was no need. Sybille met the creature with her war hammer. Even the glancing blow she landed resulted in audible cracks, ribs not able to stand up against the powerful strike. Smile spreading across her face, the rogue was ready for the finishing blow to be delivered when the vampire again utilized its unnatural speed. Lunging right back for the armored women it seemed to have no fear of its foe as it wrenches the war hammer from her hands. Sending in blows, she couldn’t believe Sybille was just taking them like that. Armor or no armor they had to hurt, the way they jostled the warrioress showing the power behind them. So many strikes would have probably left Llhunarra broken and bloodied on the floor, but Sybille’s response was to head butt the thing. The helmeted blow stunning it long enough she again used her impressive strength to toss the creature only to be taken down to the ground with it. Rolling on the ground with it the warrior finally requests aid before she is sent tumbling along the stone floor. Clicking her tongue she had really hoped that Sybille was going to be able to handle the vampire herself. With Shalena moving to assist the drow ranger it seemed to leave the thief as her only help. Hesitant to engage the creature head on, not sure how she might defeat it if Sybille could not, the half-elf notices Rhaine rushing towards the creature. The Chosen had apparently taken care of her own foe all on her own and was prepared to fight another. Noticing the condition of her right hand, hanging limply at the wrist, she appeared to be injured in some way, perhaps putting her at a disadvantage. Still having no desire to engage in close combat with such a monster Llhunarra does the next best thing, runs distraction. Spinning she flips the short blade in her left hand, catching it by the tip with deft fingers before using the momentum of her twirl to send it spinning end over end towards the vampire. Its clawed hand snaps up to smack the weapon away, but that was just fine. By the time the first blade had been swatted another was already on its way, the rogue having pulled one of the smaller throwing daggers she kept on her thighs to toss as a follow up. Slowly moving backwards as she twists about three more throwing daggers would sail through the air, the female not caring if they actually struck home, but hoping the barrage was a long enough one to keep the vampire distracted until Rhaine or Sybille could get to it.
  21. More than happy to accept one of the potions, Llhunarra downs it without a thought. While it tasted strange it was nothing to the rogue considering the different varieties of potent spirits she had tried over the years. The effects were immediate, her vision shifting as the dim light of the torches became more than enough to see details previously hidden my weak light and shadows. Even with her now enhanced vision the rogue elects to stay towards the back. While many that could fall under the same descriptor she spent more time lightening the pockets of others so she had not spent the time required to perfect disarming so many various traps. Had she been the one in the lead the red head and/or the entire party would have been dead several times over…or at the very least writhing on the ground in pain. For such an ominous looking place there had been little beyond the traps though, Llhunarra having expected to encounter some type of undead by this point. The only reason for that train of that because it was just what was most commonly found in such places, the dead bodies along the way the only signs of other inhabitants. Perhaps the traps had been numerous enough to fend off would be grave robbers and intruders? About to mention how this seemed easier than she had expected to a certain piratess, the thief doesn’t get the chance as the shadows around them burst to life. That is what it seemed at first, but these “shadows” were far more tangible than the darkness that hid within the crevasses of the stone around them. Unaware at this point about exactly what they were dealing with Llhunarra didn’t fully realize the gravity of the situation. She would soon enough. Near her position at the back of the group one of the creatures leapt from its hiding spot. Landing near her the agile humanoid was quick to strike for the half-elf. A leg snapped up and forward faster than it should have, Llhunarra barely had time to twist aside. Not strong by most standards the rogue relied on her speed, but not even that was enough to fully remove herself from the kicks path. Barely clipping her shoulder, the unnatural strength behind the blow was enough to send her tumbling to the stone floor. Quite aware of the numbers against it the creature did not attempt to clamor atop her, instead leaping for another close target…one that just happened to be Shalena.
  22. Leaving the care of the newcomer to those better suited to such tasks Llhunarra would take to her own breakfast, the rations she had brought with her enough to handle any early morning craving. When others began to gather their things and prepare the red head was quick to do the same. Before long they were on the road, the rogue still a little unsure of where they were going beyond the mountains they rode towards. Letting herself drift towards the back of the pack, she kept to herself mostly. Casually looking between the assorted party members she still found it strange how diverse they were in race alone, compared to more common groups. One had to wonder…what skills they might all possess with such varied backgrounds. As they pulled up to a stop outside the entrance to the tomb Llhunarra was already smiling, and they hadn’t even taken a step inside. While she found no joy in the possible traps or dangers that lay within the water veiled tomb, she was excited at the possibility of what might be…acquired from within. Already her sometimes one track mind was thinking of what ancient and valuable items might be inside. Even with all the people, some of which who she had been told cared little for loot; there would be plenty to go around. Of course that was only an assumption based on the sheer size of the entrance, but such an elaborate entryway hinted at so much more. Sadly Rhaine was quick to dash the rogue’s hopes, her statement making it clear there wasn’t any room for debate on the subject. A Chosen as she was Llhunarra didn’t doubt the female possessed power, strength and prowess she didn’t really want to challenge. Earning the girl’s wrath was not something on her wish list. Then again, what she didn’t see or know wouldn’t anger her. Still smiling some she nods her understanding. Just because she understood the message did not mean she had to follow it. With thoughts of what she might find dominating her thoughts, she falls in line with the rest as they make their way up the path. Drawing both of the short blades that normally rested alongside her hips, the half-elf starts to focus a little more. The rest of them seemed they were a bit on edge and understandably so, they were about to enter the tomb. Not a magic user or possessing anything of real magical presence beyond her flask, Llhunarra had not realized the gravity of what a “dead magic zone” would mean for the party. Rhaine seemed the one to suffer the most, something that must have to do with the source of her abilities. A few others appeared to suffer as well, Argyros’ sudden shift affecting them all as it sealed the doors behind them. Letting out a sigh the red head shifts away from where the dragon had been, not wanting to be crushed and bumping against Sybille in the process. The recognizable weapon she walked into the only way she was able to tell who it was she had come in contact with. “Sorry…” Deciding it best not to move until some light was established she didn’t have to wait long before the familiar sound of flint being stuck reached her ears. Moments later several torches burst to life as they begin spread dim light across the group. Eyes in no way capable of seeing in the dark she was thankful for the firelight, but chose not to carry one of her own. As long as enough were lit she felt much more confident with a blade in each hand then a flaming stick.
  23. Doshkin’s arrival had been the only real event of the night. As he stepped aside to tend to his own sleeping arrangements Llhunarra chose to remain next to the fire. Enjoying the warmth of the flame as the night wore on she figured it as good a place as any to sleep. The idea of a tent was far too confining to the rogue, walls so close making her feel a bit uncomfortable. She had a simple set up should the elements force her into it, but otherwise chose to sleep under the stars. Having tapped into her flask soon after returning to the warmth of the flame the half-elf found it rather easy to fall asleep several hours later. Quite a heavy sleeper she slept comfortably on the blanket she had thrown across the dirt for herself. Eventually she did wake though, shouting causing her head to lift the next morning. Blinking several times as she looks up, several bangs were plastered to her face from the position she had been lying in. Not sure of the commotion that was taking place at the other side of camp she rolls over at first. With no screams of pain or howls of beasts coming from the small crowd she figured it was not anything of real concern. Rolling onto her back was a bad idea, the sun and its cursed rays having returned. Squinting against the bright light she runs her hands down her face before rolling up into a seated position. Taking in a deep breath she reaches for her flask and weapons before staggering to her feet. With a yawn she casually heads towards the commotion. Time to see what all the hubbub was. “Everything alright?”
  24. With a small shrug to Zorica the red head replies, “Well to each their own.” A warm smile forming on her lips to show her understanding. The more of the group she talked to, the more of them she found she liked. Perhaps she had misjudged them from the beginning. Sybille’s comment and glance where met by a playful wink. Honestly the rogue had no idea why Doshkin seemed to be so interested in her. Of course she didn’t consider herself ugly or misshapen in anyway, but she was far from a gem. Still she would take the comment, if he had really come after them with equal interest in assisting and catching up with her as it was flattering…or creepy. As long as he didn’t get grabby like the half-drow said, Llhunarra saw no problem with him coming along; he had proven to be fun company thus far. That was her opinion at least. Not very familiar with many types of magic beyond having seen spells cast, she was a little unsure what transpired between Rhaine and Doshkin. Based on the winged female’s words he had already done something she hadn’t approved of. While the female had seemed friendly enough when Llhunarra requested to accompany them the half-elf was still unsure about her. She almost came off as one that was too quick to judge others yet that might be due to her leadership role and the weight it carried with it. Regardless of her disapproval of whatever it was Doshkin had done, a title was thrown out that the thief could not let pass without question. Near Zorica still she leans slightly towards her, doing her best to talk out of the side of her mouth to keep her voice hushed. “Chosen of Kelemvor? Is she serious?” Not much for faith herself Llhunarra had never even met a “Chosen” of any deity, never mind travelled alongside one. If the red head spoke the truth assisting the group might be far more complicated than originally expected. Chosen were not known for spending their time on trivial tasks.
  25. The redhead had not intended to leave Zorica alone with the drink, but Llhunarra was easily excitable. Distracted while the female tested the mixture, she wasn’t even aware that the flask had been placed back on the ground. Scampering over to the small group gathering as Doshkin announced himself; she was a little surprised he so readily admitted he was following them. Best to be honest she supposed, especially considering the large and presumable powerful group he had been stalking. His reason for following them was a bit surprising as well for the male had even less invested in the group than she, as far as she knew anyway. Accepting the hug, for she was a friendly girl, the elf then pulls back. “Tag along? I am sure they will not mind, they let me come after all.” With a slap to the arm she turns and heads back towards the fire. Sliding back down to the spot she had been before, Llhunarra spots the flask in almost the exact place it had been originally. Moving to sit on her butt, eyes glancing to Doshkin as he made his way towards the area as well, she is quick to resume her conversation with Zorica. “So, what did yah think? Pretty good right?” Crossing her legs underneath herself, the rogue snatches the flask from its resting place. With a deft and quite practiced movement she pulls the stopper free before lifting it to her lips. Enjoying several swallows of the strong, but sweet liquid she finishes with a grin towards the half-drow, one arm lifting to wipe the extra alcohol from her lips. Hopefully tonight would prove more entertaining that the last two nights…or perhaps they only seemed boring because of the amenities she had enjoyed while at Manarse’s estate.
