I got used to the fact that you equip spells in your left hand first when you press a hotkey and only after that to your right hand. So I'm just used to pressing 1-1-2 to get Conjure Blade in my right hand and Incinerate in my left hand. I'm not sure I understood 100% what you mean (if you're using actual weapons and/or want to conjure a blade in your offhand for dual wield or something) but maybe this helps.

That's exactly why I want a block feature while having a spell in my left hand. I can already do it now! All I have to do ist open up my favorites menu, unselect the spell from my left hand, close the favorites menu, block. Then after I blocked and/or hit/got hit I can turn around, press 3 for heal, heal, and then I have to open up the favorites menu again and unselect heal to be able to block again. Sure I'm using my left hand to block, I'm just looking for a mod that let's me just block without all that tedium! This doesn't work with spells. If you press the hotkey for a spell you already have in your left hand, it gets put in your right hand as well and after that it does nothing.

I'd really like this too, the mechanic is already there, if you just have a one-handed weapon and no spell in the other hand you can already block/parry. Please someone mod in a button for blocking while having a spell up.

When you dual conjure blade (with perk) by default the sword gets put into your left hand, which sucks because when I then want to change to a different spell with the number hotkeys it replaces the blade and I have an uncast conjure blade spell in my right hand... That's just stupid design. If possible someone please make a small mod that changes that. I know dual casting conjure blade doesn't make it stronger, but still, it lasts longer and I already encountered the embarrassing situation of trying to hit an enemy with a blade that went *poof* mid-swing :P

You know, you can just hotkey the items in your favourite menu by pressing 1-8 while hovering over them in the favorite menu.
