  1. Hi, I'm just getting back into FO3 and was looking for some mods i used to like. One in particular that I can't remember the name of added a tower in Megaton that housed an expensive gunshop. To get there, I believe there was a secret switch you had to find to lower the ramp. The guns sold were very unique and also were a good way to spend excess caps in the late game. The mod currently does not seem to exist on nexus, does anyone know what I'm talking about and could provide me with a link or email it to me? Thanks :) P.S. Also looking for Owned!, and if you happen to have a really cool mod that was also taken down from nexus I'd love to have it if you'd like to share.
  2. open fomm go to "load order" at top copy to clipboard paste it on forums.
  3. yes. that is why I was calling it fallout3.exe.
  4. So only your controls freeze but the rest of the game is still working normally? also you're not using any mods, correct?
  5. Uhh what the hell? If you don't have fallout3.exe I'm not sure how you are running the game. If it's truly gone from your computer you proooobably want to do a reinstall. It could be a reason your game is messing up tho honestly I have no idea what's going on if you don't have fallout3.exe. This is beyond me, by now... I do recommend installing fose tho even if it might not help you right now at all (and there's a chance it might) fose is necessary for any mod of worth besides armor/weapon mods.
  6. If I had to bet, FOOK is messing with you. Disable FOOK, load your save, and make a new save. Restart fallout and load that new save (this completely remove references to FOOK in your mod). If it fixes anything, then you might want to check out the FOOK forums to see if they have a hotfix or if anyone else has had the problem and fixed it. Either that or consider just using coc to move around rivet city and try to work around the issue.
  7. yeah, sorry, what I was giving you advice on was only a minor issue at first. I'm just as lost as you are about the whole crashing thing. Have you tried CASM, though? Or does that just make you crash more frequently?
  8. I agree on that order. Think of OA as something to do if you've managed to befriend the Outcasts, else it wouldn't really make alot of sense. Then BS, then Point Lookout for the "Man you've singel handedly killed off a bunch of Enclaves, why don't you take a well deserved vacation to Point Lookout?" style/feel. Mothership Zeta oughtta be among the last things you do 'cus RP wise, you'd probably put a bullet in your head after that point. Despite all the work put into MZ, it is easily my least favorite mod. I just hate the premise. However idk about you, but playing level 23-24 made the shielded aliens super tough for me. Playing with FWE, still needed to dump bucketfuls of bullets into the shileded aliens (nonshielded ones die to dartgun to the temple). The fact that aliens have more hitpoints than overlords at this point made MZ even more annoying for me.
  9. under computer is your c drive. in your c drive is the folder called program folders. fallout3.exe should not be in fomm, it should be in fallout3. I have no idea how you managed that. But anyway, thats probably why you can only load it from using fomm. Did you move any other files to the fomm folder? move them back into fallout 3, pretty please.
  10. Welllll imo you should've saved BS for last since it's the most epic. OA should be done first because you cannot take equipment inside anyway and it gives you lots of decent early game gear. Probably want to do MZ early or mid game because the aliens scale ridiculously high to your level (the shielded ones anyway). Point lookout is fairly difficult with only one merchant to supply you, so save for mid game imo. However there are multiple quests/areas in point lookout so you don't need to do it all in one go compared to other DLCs. It might be worth a quick stop to get a few items, then save it for later. The Pitt should probably be done mid game imo, because even though you have to play part of the game without equipment, the last half is much easier if you have a good gun or three of your own. But you don't want ot do it too late because the rewards from the steel mill and the ammo press are significant. and yeah...would've done broken steel last... since you've already beat BS, I honestly wouldn't even bother with OA. It's sort of tedious, so unless you REALLY REALLY want that stealth suit....
  11. I have had the exact same problem before but my situation is probably not analagous to yours. I had just installed MMM and EVE on top of FWE and had loaded my own merged patch on top of mez merged patch for FWE/MMM/EVE that had come with the bundle. I hadn't really thought of it, but apparently loading multiple merged patches gave me the exact same problem that you are experiencing right now. I could not click, mouse did not show up, could not hit esc or space to speed thru slideshow etc and main menu never showed up. Maybe it was because i made a merged patch OF a merged patch or something, I'm not really sure. Hope this small bit of info can help you in some way. cheers.
  12. FOOK 2 v1.1 is the beta. If you want a more stable version stick with FOOK 2 v1.0. The original FOOK is very old indeed and probably not really worth it.
  13. The bottom most option in the FWE control panel is like "support mod configurations" or something, idk. Anyway, it's the bottom most option. AFAIK only MMM is supported by FWE in such a manner. Anyway, you can click on MMM and adjust absolutely everything (spawn increase, ghoul revival chance, and yes turning off wanamingoes) oh and remember that you can also change how weapon skill affects damage/accuracy. FWE is by default high acc/low damage (skill has a high effect on acc with minor on dam) but you can swich it to be almost all accuracy. Early on I suppose you get a damage boost with very low skill levels, albeit with terrible acc, but on higher levels your damage will be noticeably lower.
  14. it doesn't matter. The default is program files, along with all your other programs, but it doesn't make a difference. If it did, I would've said so :/.
  15. Well, I don't use FOOK so I doubt I could help you much. However, I would bet a lot of money tho that it is FOOK that is screwing with MZ. Just as a test, disable fook, load a game, and make a new save so as to completely erase any references to fook. Now load that save and see if it works. A lot of time simply "disabling all mods" will not solve the problem unless you use this method to get rid of all other mod references (by making a new save without the mods referenced entirely). If it doesn't work for you..... I'm stumped. If it does work for you, then well, your best bet is to just write down what items you have and their ids so you can readd them once you get MZ started and going. Tedious but not game breaking.
