    have been messing around with sound files a bit more. It is so tantalizing.

I've download uninstalled and reinstalled oblivion a few times, been around the block a few times, used wrye bash before, so I'm not a newbie, I'm a neophyte, not good at using stuff, can figure my way around and know the tricks it takes to make my game run well. So I have used bashed patch to death. I have used omod's. I have redated for load order, unoranged mods in that list many a time. Mod checker and BOSS helps.

     

    But I still have more than 255 mods... I think that since 30 about are patches I can combine some of those patches with the mods they rely on... but, I need advice on what I can do because I am honestly stuck at a point where I need to understand Wrye bash itself more before I can move forwards in any direction. That and I want to install more. x-P

     

    I tried to google o.0 google sucks, oh man is it near impossible to find what you want unless you really will sift through 100 or more possibilities over and over again. The readme, well, I don't know what I'm looking for.. so I'm quite lost! I was hoping not to have to read the whole entire readme letter for letter, and then the construction set readme letter for letter; besides, your wisdom will have the last say anyway, why not ask first read later, rather than read the readme and pretend I won't double check with those who know. However the other problem is that i'm still learning the very basics of CS, newbie style, although i can load mods using file>data, i still don't know which one to make active, although i think i might have the hang of pan camera.

     

    So you see, i'm wasting time reading a readme I'll only half understand at best.

     

    BTW yeah I have Oblivion backed up in my other drive. NOT reinstalling. And I save all my mods in mods2keep folder, and i mean anything not included not the CDs, before I put it in Bethesda\Oblivion\Data.

     

    Help please, and no 'special' comments i.e if its trolling or rude talk save it for World of Warcraft I'm not in the mood.

  4. Oh man, the CS help site is so hard to navigate -.^ even GOOGLE is better at finding the page i want. Just not my style of "informative" I suppose.

     

    There's a mod i like which changes the armour some npc's wear, but it's missed a few. I know which names, factions and classes i want to add it to and it's quite a number of characters... is there an automatic way?

     

    Here's summing up what i want to acheive, any advice would be appreciated for a newbie who finds navigating "help sites" which have EVERYTHING plus on them, difficult.

     

    complete list of things to do:

    *3add Midas spells to Dark Seducer's and Golden Saint's

    *4add special Alternate Start Revamped starts for Golden Saint's and Dark Seducer's and X-races

    *4make Golden Saint's and Dark Seducers playable

    *2remove conjurer from adTreeHome

    *1put Storm Trooper armour on !all! in appropriate categories, palace shields, silver weaponry, axes on foresters.

    *4put patrick stewart face to starter player character and set to Dark Seducer

    *4Change player ID to SEDarkSeducerGuardWilderness1

     

    edit: Oh as for the mods this affects in total, Oblivion and cobl apparently, but besides that; Midas Spells, Alternate Start Revamped, Xenius Races Compilation, adTreeHome, Storm Trooper Guards, most likely bashed patch will eventually be affected in some way i assume, LD Patrick Stewart Sean Sean (by Lord Domino), whichever new house i decide to build.

     

    each *# represents a seperate mod, but I'm gonna have these all combined for me personally.

     

    Your experience and wisdom will be well valued, thankyou for any advice you can offer.

    I believe it was for game performance. Same reason why you don't want 30 NPCs running around on the screen at the same time.

     

    You "could" swap out the dead body with a static mesh but it would be hard (or impossible) to match how the body fell down.

    Unless that original body was "turned" into a static? or could not even obse handle that..

     

     

    It's also worth pointing out that a body wouldn't just sit there lying on the side of the street for months. If it's near a city, eventually someone (probably people from the chapel) would come along to get it and bury it. If it's in the wilderness, the body would likely be consumed after a few days by animals, insects, and other things. I would imagine that certain things, like ogres and goblins, would exist largely from scavenging.

     

    another idea for npc's with jobs, random guy comes along with horse in cart at midnight, guys riding inside pick up body with havok physics, they stop doing the rounds at 1am (in imperial city, 3am), take bodies to "the lake" or wherever, done. Unless there's a specific request.. which would mean an amendment for rpg sake, by law none but the corpse moving caste may move a dead body. Then that body is delivered to the local, religiously monitored moratorium. Whaddya think? Too much crap?

  8. ah ha! thankyou Joshl1984, and yes Silenzer its freakin AWESOME! An absolute life saver but here's a few pointers:

    * make sure you print all doco's

    * don't be afraid to clean sweep old oblivion to reinstall v thoroughly

    * when its up and running beautifully, COPY!

    * when you add mods, in case it mishandles Oblivion, have a mods-only folder.

     

    I have on my extra hard drive a folder called sacred object ;-) you know what that is, Oblivion! Also, I keep a folder called mods2keep, so I don't have to re-download in-case the worst occurs. It had everything, patch included. I'm gonna put it all on CD or thumb-drive when I'm finished.

That way I can still use Enayla's AMAZING work.. so i guess it's a three part two part request, I'd like either, IFT for Khajiit, or seperate beastie improvement packs in style for hgec females and roberts males v5, but if you wanna do all three 8-| kudos to you.
  12. I had three great ideas... #1Fire Whips! Fire Whips! Check out both Fire Whips!. Maybe something like a Lightwhip or Vibrowhip? BUT I know nothing of nothing about modding and nobody wants a buggy weapon.. or ornament however you'd imagine it. Thing is, this thing'd have to be sick on a level that lightsabers just couldn't match, sort of. Lightsabers really will always own. :-)

     

    Then there's #2, the badassery of them all, the match for the lightsabers fury... Vibroblades! And then there's my first encounter with these things...

    now since players get lightsabers (with FIX), it seems fair Oblivionesque characters get the badass vibro-weaponry, evil characters get the more finesse-ey kind, and bandits get the ragtag items they can commandeer or steal, or maybe make.     I love Slof's Better Beasts, but like MANY players out there I use HGEC female body replacer (I use it with it's companion part EVE) and Roberts male body replacer (v5b).

    The textures and faces... OH the faces, they are a nasty contrast to natural faces with FURIAE's Facial Features which features on all the other races!

  13. FRIGGIN HECK! So is FCOM now v3.01? I just got v2.46 up and running ...and do I gotta download realswords or not? Is it not in the superpack already? Argh! How dya bash things together, I just about got it but just about may just about crash my game and just about ruin my temper and just about cut through my patience.. any pointers? Notes on experiences bashing rightly and wrongly?
